I haven’t been on Unilocal for a while, but I thought the service provided by Chris and his teams deserves me dusting off my profile to write a review.
BB Laundry NYC is amazing. There’s no other words for it. Not only is their service great and I think reasonably priced, but as most of the reviews here will tell you, the customer service is impeccable. I decided to use their services after finding them on Unilocal and reading all the great reviews. I was having a meltdown after I found out about my *situation*, and I knew washing my clothes and treating other stuff myself was going to be impossible, at least without me sticking my head inside a washing machine.
Chris couldn’t have been more gracious and patient. He answered all of my dumb questions promptly (and believe me, I had a tone of those! I was panicking!), without ever feeling like he was judging me or I was annoying him in any way. You know there’s a lot of businesses that make you feel like that!
Our stuff was stored for several weeks while we waited for the treatments to be over. In the mean time, Chris was available to answer any concerns we had.
The only issue we had (and calling this an issue is really exaggerating), was a little confusion over the delivery of our stuff; since I was the one who contacted them to let them know we were ready to have our stuff delivered, we only received my stuff, not my roommate’s. Chris responded to my text immediately and we scheduled a delivery for the following day. As I said, excellent customer service. Everything was perfectly folded, nothing was damaged.
If you ever find yourself in the unfortunate situation of having those nasty, little life-​stoppers (I don’t wish this on ANYONE!), rest assured, Chris and his team will help you making this nightmare a little bit less stressful.

Chris was so incredibly helpful through this whole process. Made a miserable finding so much easier to deal with. On top of that he expedited our order since we were due to leave for vacation in the next few days! Seriously the best customer service — could not recommend enough!

Having bed bugs in your building is one of the most stressful situations you can imagine. My former building had them TWICE this past year (needless to say, I no longer live there.)
Bed Bug Laundry made this stressful time a little easier– they were incredibly responsive to emails, efficient and flexible on pick-​up and delivery, and held my clothes for weeks while my building finally handled the bug problem! Their staff is also very nice, via email and in person.
I would definitely recommend them to anyone in a similar situation!

Bed bugs are actually like experiencing some new devious form of psychological warfare. They’re small, very hard to find, and leave terrible itchy bites in their wake. Worse, if you do actually find a live one, it is not like you can interrogate it and find out where its comrades live.
As a result, the first thing you have to do is essentially move out of your home without moving: all of your stuff gets packed away for the extermination process and all of your clothes and many other items need to get cleaned.
If you have to go through this process, you want to have Chris and the BBLNYC team on your side. Chris is incredibly responsive, answering your anguished texts at all hours, giving accurate arrival and drop off windows, and providing a cheerful and supportive voice throughout the process. (You’ll want one of those. Trust me.)
Is it expensive? Yes, it certainly can be. But Chris can help you figure out how to focus on what needs to be treated and how to manage treating whatever portion of your belongings yourself that you want to do.
If we (god forbid) find ourselves in this situation again, BBLNYC will be our second call (after the exterminator).

These folks are angels. If you are reading this you know how overwhelmed and stressed out finding out you’ve gotten bed bugs. I really didn’t know how I was going pack everything before the treatments. Then I found this firm on Unilocal and read the reviews and gave them a call. Chris showed up as scheduled. He is great with communication and are terrific about storing stuff until you can get the stuff back. Thank G-​D for these folks! It wasn’t expensive at all considering the value. I paid about $ 440.00 for tons of stuff.

Having bed bugs is one of the worst, most stressful and heartbreaking situations I’ve come across. Because of that, I look for any way that will help me to manage it more easily. Rather than spend all day in the laundromat, only to have to do it again if the infestation is not completely taken care of, I called these guys. Now, at first it is super scary to give all your stuff to some random guy with no guarantee they are going to return. But they did, and all my stuff was neatly folded and wrapped in double plastic. Sadly, because my neighbor has bedbugs and won’t take care of them, I have to use them again. But I am so glad that they are there when I need them! And it is great, because I am moving, so I can get pickup at my infested apartment, and have the clean clothes dropped off at the new one!
It seems sketchy, I know, but I took the chance and it worked out for me. Prices are also quite reasonable all things considered. I mean, I have to throw out all my furniture and start over, at least I don’t have to buy a whole new wardrobe too.

Just my luck. Moved into a new apartment, and 3 weeks in… bedbugs! I calmly called for an extermination, but then started having a nervous breakdown when I realized what an undertaking the prep work for a bedbug treatment would be. Moving furniture from the walls and bagging up all my belongings was one thing, but washing/​heat treating every piece of clothing/​bedding I own is… wow. Especially being a small single girl in a walkup with no laundry in the building. It would have taken me ages to do all that laundry.
A friend of mine did a quick Google and sent me this place. I decided for the sake of my sanity I just had to do it. So I bagged up all my clothes (except for one bag to hold me over), labeled them up, and Bed Bug Laundry NYC came and picked them up on a weeknight after work (the 8pm-​10pm window was best for me). Most of my clothes were clean already, so I mostly did «heat and fold,» and limited myself to one bag of dry cleaning.
During the time that my clothes were in storage with BBLNYC, I talked to someone who had used a similar service and had a horror story of being served with a bill so outrageous that she abandoned her clothes and started a new wardrobe. So I was becoming very nervous about getting my clothes (and invoice) back.
4 weeks later, I felt secure and bedbug-​free enough to get my clothes returned. I breathed a sigh of relief as my invoice was not insane. I had a lot of clothes, and it came to $ 470, $ 440 after the Unilocal deal. I mean, it’s certainly not money I *wanted* to spend right after moving, but for the amount of clothes I had and the work that went into it, I found it to be very reasonable. My clothes were returned in great condition, without hassle.
So if you get a case of the tiny life-​ruiners, I would highly recommend Bed Bug Laundry NYC!

TOP NOTCH SERVICE !!! Chris and company are amazing. I never thought that I would have to use such a service or knew that one existed, but I am glad that I was able to select the right company for the job. We called on Wednesday and the pickup was on Thursday. Chris walked us through the entire process from bagging to labeling. We discovered that we needed an additional pickup and they were were able to accommodate without a issue. We sent all of our daughter’s stuffed animals, hoping that they would return unharmed. Not only did our clothes return bagged an sealed, but so did the animals… safe and sound to the excitement of a 10 year old. The owner is so kind and patient and they were prompt and reliable with all of my communications. It was a relief to deal with this business when going through the nightmare of these creepy bugs. If you call and they don’t pick up, someone will call you back very quickly. I just got all of clothes back about a month ago, all bug-​free in perfect condition. Just do it and save yourself the agony of drying everything yourself! I also had 11 trash bags worth of clothes/​sheets/​pillows, the total came out to around $ 350 which is so reasonable!

Outstanding from start to finish in a process that could have been awful. Prices were extremely reasonable (and I didn’t even see the coupon), and they carried 50 lbs of laundry and suitcases up four flights of stairs. Dennis even brought up a suitcase of things that I had brought by for our move and hadn’t even been treated by them. Many thanks for providing a great experience in such an anxiety-​filled area.

I’ve had to «unfortunately» use their services twice and both times they have been absolutely amazing. I can’t begin to describe how nice Chris was and how much great advice he offered.

I can’t even get over how nice and understand the BBL NYC team is. From answering my call immediately, to being understanding, informative, and honest, Chris is really a voice of calm in what is a pretty stressful/​exhausting time.
The team is great to deal with, and during such a gross (and skeevy!) experience, its great to work with a company that understands what you are going through, and is as helpful as can be. Would highly recommend BBL NYC.

Scheduled a pick up for my clothes, and not only did they not show up, they didn’t respond to my emails until hours after the set appt. time. That being said, when they did reply, they apologized and sent over a pick up guy within fifteen minutes of replying to my email.
The guy who picked it up was very nice. So now all my nice clothes (I am only doing dry cleaning and heat treatment as I washed all washables myself) are in their care. I’m a little nervous, but hopefully all will turn out well. I will update as it goes along.

I cannot thank Chris and his team enough. As soon as we discovered we had bedbugs I went into panic at the sheer mass of laundry I was going to have to do. I live in a 4^th floor walkup in a building without washing machines. I scoured the internet and came upon BBL. After reading other’s reviews, I was sold.
Make no mistake. If you choose BBL you will be getting top quality treatment and service. Chris and his team were extremely responsive by email and phone. I was able to get a pick up date very quickly. They were very knowledgeable, professional and instilled a sense of calm in me. His sorting and labeling instructions were clear and easy to follow. All we had to do was bag and sort our clothing into contractor bags and label them with duct tape and sharpies. Our clothes came back folded and neatly packed. The dry cleaned items were less expensive than most NYC dry cleaners. Our final bill was very reasonable. The best part was that Chris will keep your bags as long as needed so that you can deal with your mess at home.
Thank you so much for being there for us and helping us turn this horrible experience into something positive. We hope we won’t have to use BBL again, but if we do, I know who I’ll be calling!

Here’s a team that will be the one positive part of probably one of the worst and most inconvenient circumstances you’ll ever go through. If you’re reading this now, you probably already know how stressful these pests can be and how much they disrupt your life.
Chris is a great guy offering good energy and the best customer service one could ask for. He’s extremely approachable with ANY questions you might have and will promptly respond to voicemails and texts.
When I finally got all of my belongings and clothing back almost 5 months later (I was not charged for storage time!!), everything was folded and packed away with a lot of precision.
When I noticed that one of my suits had some unwanted creases in the sleeves due to the heat treatment process, Chris’s team picked it back up and paid for it to be re-​pressed and dry cleaned again, free of charge.
When I realized some of my favorite hangers were missing (they have to discard any hangers they take in with your clothing due to the incredibly powerful chemicals at work, so be warned), Chris gave me a few nice wooden ones to replace mine, again, free of charge.
All in all, Chris and his team are a good investment to give you some peace of mind while you’re dealing with all the extra stress.

Big thanks to the friend who dropped off one bed bug in my couch, thus forcing me to clean my entire wardrobe of clothing. Besides the cleaning, etc of things, strangers coming in (and yes, they thought I was crazy, it was one bug. Really. But you can never be too safe) and spraying chemicals, it was the dilemma of where I what I was going to do with all of my coats.
I scoured the internets and found BBL. Now the reviews are great, but I’m a little cautious of them, considering none of these people have their pictures up and the style is the same, so I was really apprehensive about giving my priceless clothing to a stranger. I called Chris, who is really friendly and he emailed me a list of their services, which is less expensive than dropping them off at the cleaners and also less hassle, since they pick up and drop off anywhere.
Once he came to pick up the many bags of jackets, etc I was relieved, but still anxious because I technically just gave my clothes to a complete stranger. Trying not to freak out (I did as much research as I could) I didn’t find much info and thought, hey, if my stuff doesn’t come back, it doesn’t come back.
Although I was informed of the process and told that they also do laundry I guess my apprehension came from the lack of transparency, like where exactly where they located.
When the sprayings in my apt were done, I phoned Chris to let him know that I’d like to get my items back a few days after that. They are really great about drop off hours and he was able to drop off my items in the early evening. One bag had a lot of my coats neatly folded and stacked on top of each other, so I could tell they had at least been handled. My other items looked as if they were hurriedly shoved into a bag (noticeable since the neat bag had my last name and «1 bag» written on it. The charge wasn’t much and he was able to use a Square to charge me, which was convenient.
Afterwards I told him that I was going to hang up my items, since everything was sprayed, said lone bug found, crisis averted. He warned me to wait a while, since you never know. I almost heeded his words until I turned over the second, rushed bag to find a huge hole in the bottom of it! I mean, what does it matter now? Sigh.
I’d recommend this service because it’s affordable, but honestly you don’t know what you’re getting. How am I to know that my things weren’t just put outside? Thank goodness my clothes didn’t have any bb’s on them. Also be sure to itemize what was sent, because they don’t do it for you, so you won’t know if things get mixed up or lost. Chris is very nice and from my hometown, so I hope they improve on their services because… well, we all know that this is a lucrative business!

Finding Bed Bug Laundry by doing a search for this very thing was the only highlight of this horrifying experience. The service picks up all of your clothes and linens and cleans them, dry cleans them, or heats them. Bed bugs die at 130 degrees. Laundry is neatly folded and they do pick up and delivery and storage while your home is being treated by the exterminator.
But the real joy, if there can be joy from this experience, is meeting Chris. Chris is the guy who will handle everything for you (pickup, delivery, counseling in between). He is so lovely and calm and hard working and extremely helpful. Not only does Chris deal with all your stuff but he could be a crisis counselor because his calm demeanor and professional kindness are what you need to get through this unfortunate experience.. I could not have gotten through Bedbug 2013 without Chris and though I hope to never need his service again, I would highly recommend him to everyone,
Chris also hooked me up with a great exterminator. My team were aces, and I am now bedbug free.
So, don’t panic. But do hire Bed Bug Laundry.

While I hope you never have to deal with bedbugs, if you do, you HAVE to go to Chris and Bed Bug Laundry NYC. I cannot recommend this service highly enough. Not only does it offer amazing peace of mind to have a professional getting the job done, but I actually think I may have saved money vs. taking everything to the dry cleaner/​laundromat myself.
Chris was totally accommodating of my paranoia (I seriously think I have PTSD from the bedbug experience) and very reassuring. He’s also just a super nice guy, which helps when you’re dealing with the nightmare that is bedbugs (and the leprosy treatment you get from everyone else).

I can’t even begin to express how grateful and pleased I am to have found Chris and his service. I truly do not think I would have survived this situation without his patient and compassionate support. He made himself available when I was ready to send my things to be treated, and was quick to respond when I was ready for them to be delivered. Having door-​to-​door service made the cost MORE than worth spending, which is reasonably priced to begin with. More than just treating my things, he provided me with tips and information that gave me the confidence to tackle this huge uncomfortable endeavor. He made me feel like I was going to get through this and be able to return to a «normal» life post BB. I 100% recommend you enlist their services. You will not find a more honest and efficient laundry service in this city.
