So having pizza in New York for the first time was not a great event. I ordered the Hawaiian pizza and my boyfriend orders the Fiesta. So we get our food, he wasn’t impressed and mine was soggy and dripping something. I hate the first piece and we just going to push through. The second one I just couldn’t do it anymore. Being in customer service myself I HATE complaining! I told the waiter what my problem was and he was nice. He said he would remove my order and told the manager. The manager however asked what the problem was. I informed him of the soggy dripping problem and he said its pineapple juice. I’ll take it off through. Was very rude and no apologies. I’m from Texas and my pineapple pizza there doesn’t drip or come soggy!!! Anyways. Was very disappointed. Waiter was nice but quiet. Manager however was rude. Won’t go again and don’t recommend it either.

Dope truffle pizza made in an oven that was directly shipped from Naples. Nice atmosphere and great location. What more can you ask for?

Everything here was great! I ordered the butternut squash ravioli-it was a little sweet, but delicious. My companions got the spaghetti with Sicilian meatballs, pasta bolognese, and Mac and cheese. All fantastic! For dessert, definitely try the coconut passion fruit pana cotta! Service was wonderful as well.

In summary: very pompous and unprofessional staff and meh food. Full story: On a cold, rainy Saturday night, we were in the mood for pizza and came here partly because of the good reviews and because they had the check-in offer — this place is a bit pricey. When we got there around 8, the host smugly asked us if we had a reservation, which our party of 5 didn’t, but the back half the restaurant was empty. When we said no, he literally laughed in our faces and said«well, that’s going to be problematic». It took all of two minutes to push two tables together for us — wow, what a hassle. The waiter comes, and I politely ask if they would honor the Unilocal offer. He starts rattling off reasons why they wouldn’t — like that we need to make a reservation and let them know that we have a coupon and that they only take Groupons and other run-on excuses none of us really understood. Unilocal is just as popular as Groupon, so if you put a coupon on it to trick customers into coming, that’s false advertising. Anyway, so we were just like fine and started to order. We got two pizzas and two pastas to split. The waiter said thanks for ordering at once because it made his life easier. Like is taking orders /doing your basic job duties that difficult? Like it was to seat us in your empty restaurant? GEEZ. He later came back and told us one pasta wasn’t «available», so we ordered the gnocchi instead. THEN he came back and said that wasn’t availiable either. Like what Italian restaurant on a Saturday night wouldn’t have gnocchi? You don’t have enough ingredients for all the guests your expecting that made seating us «problematic»? I don’t understand — his whole demeanor just seemed really rude and disrespectful the entire time. On top of it all, when we signed our checks he came and collected them right in front of us and counted them as if we were going to dine and dash. He even miscounted and accused us of not paying that one check but we told him to count again and he had it. I’ve never had a waiter rush over to get the signed bills before we left. Such an awkward dining experience and the food was bland and not worth it at all. That couldn’t have been the New York pizza everyone raves about. Being from the Philly area, I also hear New Yorkers can be snarky, but this was just a whole new level of unprofessional people and blatant rudeness. Definitely take your business elsewhere.

Pizza always comes out burnt. Maybe don’t cook it for so long? Just a thought.

I was at Bellini last night for a little get together for my fiancé’s job. Not only is it in a beautiful neighborhood, the food here is AMAZING. We had several different types of meatballs and an assortment of pizzas. My favorite dishes were definitely the Hawaiian pizza and the nutella pizza… but honestly there was not one single thing that was just«ok». We will definitely be returning for many date nights! If I could choose my last dessert on earth, it would hands down be the nutella pizza!

I discovered Bellini in the beginning of the winter and I have always been coming back to this place. If you’re in the Upper West Side and looking for a great place to wine and dine, this is absolutely should be on top of the list. I haven’t tasted pizza like theirs in a while! The brick oven makes all the difference in the world –you have to go quite some distance in town to have authentic pizza like this. The prosciutto pizza is the best and also the mussels are awesome! They have a wide variety of wine selection. Not to mention they have a great wednesday night promo on wine and they have great live jazz music there too. They almost have everything anyone visiting or living in NYC is looking for! Highly recommended!!!

Love new management team! Service and food excellent. …from fresh baked bread made on premises to the cappuccino complete with cute design… menu has great mix of trendy(Nutella ‘pizza’) and classic(chicken marsala). I was very pleased. Also the prices are reasonable!

A bit of an overshot with my rating but I am going to give them the 4 stars since it was Valentines Day and I am feeling generous. We didn’t go in with high expectations — we had visited a few years ago on Valentines Day and never went back because of the poor service but we decided to give the new management another shot. The mushroom risotto balls were excellent — the dish would be better off with some dollops of aioli on the plate rather than a dish of it. I saw someone elses Kale Caesar Salad and had a bit of order envy. Our beet salad was a little demolished, we hesitated to accept the dish because we didnt even know what it was. I had the carbonara and it was the best comfort food ever! The service was still a bit slow, felt like we were back in Europe while waiting for our check. ALSO, the music was WAY too loud but the bread was warm, the ambiance was cozy, and the food was delicious!

Very small, but very good. Make reservations. We were lucky to be 2 min away and the general manager made a table available to us. The staff is very accommodating and helped us choose the best dishes on the menu. We were even served an extra glass of wine when our bottle was finished :) the penne arrabbiata was amazing. I hate spicy so I asked for it to be mild and it was served perfectly. The chocolate dessert was out of this world. I’ll be back!

Warm and inviting cozy casual Italian on upper west side. Service was excellent. Tricolor salad fresh and delicious and meat platter delicious. Real Brick oven for the pizza I Will definitely try when I return. The dishes that came out of the kitchen looked so fresh and tasty!

I came here on a Saturday night with 6 others. The service was outstanding because 2 people from my party are regulars and the manager or owner treated us warmly. Then again, there was this rowdy younger crowd and they were treated well. Every dish looked great! I had the Caprese with pesto balsamic. I’ve never had it with pesto and it was great. I had the best linguini with clam sauce and we topped it off with some tiramisu. Great champagne, great food, service and dessert.

Upon the recommendation of a coworker, my friend and I went to Bellini for dinner. We were immediately greeted by Scott, the manager. Even better than the wonderful and attentive service that we received was the food. We enjoyed the assorted hot antipasto which is a great item to share with 2 or 3 people. The prosciutto pizza was amazing. I will definitely be back.

They have $ 5 corking fee reviews for BYOB wine all over Unilocal, but they charge you $ 25 when you go to the restaurant. Then the manager tells you it’s because they don’t want to attract the kind of clients that come for BYOB and $ 5 cork fees. How rude.

Probably the best carbonara I have ever had. Super fresh pasta, great service. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that my glass of wine I ordered before looking at the menu was actually included in a lunch special, leaving me with less than $ 15 to pay for wine and a full size pasta dish! Will certainly revisit.

One word: Carbonara. After a whole day walking through Manhattan, all we needed was some comfort italian food; Bellini is a little place in Upper West Side with great pasta and lovely staff!
