Had a fantastic brunch at Bistango this afternoon. The short rib hash and morning risotto were fantastic. The mimosas were also quite good. Ryan our server, was very attentive and took great care in making recommendations that we loved. So happy to have found this gem in the neighborhood. Looking forward to another great brunch here soon.

Fantastic if gluten-free Italian food. Their pasta dishes were pretty right on. We had an appetizer that was a wonderful and the GF bread was nice and complimentary. Service was excellent and sincere.

I with my bf had the weekend brunch in Bistango located at Kimberly Hotel. We’d love this place! Nice and cozy décor, good service with very welcoming staff! And they do serve the private area as well. I’d fall in love with antipasti meatball it’s so delicious with the sauce and cheese. Worth for 5 stars, you guys deserve it!

Came here for dinner on a weeknight and got seated immediately. The atmosphere is comfortable and sophisticated. The service was very attentive, however, our waiter could have been a bit more knowledgeable. The food was delicious from beginning to end. The table had the branzino, chicken, Italian sausage pasta and the butternut squash pasta and everything was great. They are also great for gluten free options as well.

A nice modern Italian/American menu in the Kimberly hotel. Casual but upscale atmosphere with prices about what you’d expect. My wife had the pasta with lobster sauce and I had the bronzino. My fish was fresh and perfectly cooked but lacking a little in the seasoning department. My wife liked her pasta dish but it was a bit skimpy even for a fancy place. Very cool aquarium quality fish tank in the lobby. Staff was friendly but some were definitely better trained than others. Overall a good experience but nothing terribly unique for this part of town.

Pretty good dishes. Tried the beef and spicy sausage and both were really good. The table setup was really tight on the side closest to the wall. We had a group of ten. All in I’ll pretty good.

What a relief to find a gluten-free restaurant on my business trip to NYC. Two weeks ago I started a strict non-allergen diet and haven’t had much success at restaurants. When I ordered the gluten-free butternut squash restaurant, I asked for no cheese. A few minutes after finishing my deliciously crispy gluten free bread, the chef personally came over to ask if I had an allergy to dairy because the sauce is butter based. He offered to make me a sauce with olive oil or vegetable stock. So thoughtful! And delicious! A great place for the food sensitive crew!

Stopped in on my way home from work, found this nestled between the hotel and other places of business. Great for people watching and a very nice selection of foods.

Bistango is an elegant Italian restaurant located at the Kimberly Hotel. With a coffered ceiling, high deep red walls, and fresh flower blossoms, Bistango offers a refined experience. A gorgeous floor-to-ceiling glass-enclosed wine cellar and a large, beautifully-serene aquarium sit at the entrance. Given our plans later on in the evening, I sought something light from the varied menu. In addition to a variety of pasta dishes(spaghetti, squid ink linguine, etc) and flatbreads, there are other entrées to suit different appetites. I went with the red snapper that was lightly baked in parchment with lemon, basil, and thinly sliced red onions and potatoes. The delicate fish was subtly seasoned and well prepared. The bread basket included one of my favorites, a soft focaccia, served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, as well as a lemon-flavored hummus. The host provided a warm welcome, as did the server, and both were attentive throughout service. Note outdoor seating is also available.

Casual dining with a good atmosphere. We found this place on Unilocal an we were seated promptly. We had antipasto which was very good with our traditional red wine. Dinner was very good and a traditional dish of seafood fettuccini. Would return and recommend to others. Nice stop.

Have you ever had an occasion when you were asked to book a celebratory lunch with a dozen people at a good Italian restaurant in Midtown East with less than 24 hours notice and being unsure as to whether you personally would even be available to attend it? I did. Bistango accommodated quite well. Grazie!

Wow! Delicious food. Cool atmosphere. Great service. We started with a pizza for an appetizer with Italian sausage and cherry peppers. It tasted delicious. The crust was fabulous as well as the rest of it. I had the rigatoni with braised short rib in a red wine type sauce which was delightful and my wife had fettuccine w lobster and shrimp in a tomato marscapone sauce which was also very good. We also got both dishes gluten free and the pasta was still very, very good.

Stepping into the Kimberly Hotel felt like stepping into another world… I actually felt like I was on vacation. It might be the airy lobby, or the massive fishtank, or the bistro-esque restaurant tucked away in the corner. But whatever it is, I liked it! The prices for brunch are a bit high, since there are no «all-in» deals with free drinks. But I enjoyed my one glass of prosecco($ 14) and the Penne pasta with mushrooms($ 18), while my friend enjoyed the Pancakes(prepared gluten free) and Scrambled Eggs.

Went here for brunch and the service was awful and slow. It took us 2 hours to have brunch. We were only able to get 2 rounds of drinks in those 2 hours. Our food took an hour to come out. Our waitress was completely unapologetic. She acted like she was serving a restaurant full of people, when in reality, there were only 3 tables. When our food finally came out, my girlfriend’s toast did not. She asked our waitress where her toast was — to which she replied«we don’t have toast.» My girlfriend asked if they had a toaster. The waitress replied«we have french toast.» I should note that toast is clearly on the menu. Throughout the 2 hour ordeal, I saw one round of food come out. Then, the kitchen simply stopped cooking food. This made matters worse for us. It wasn’t as though the kitchen was simply backed up. The restaurant was mostly empty, and no one was receiving any food. We got no explanation for this. Just the cold shoulder from a waitress who acted busy but was equally as unresponsive to every table. It was so bad, that the three tables in the restaurant began complaining to each other about the situation. Everyone was visibly dissatisfied. We all asked for a manager, to which the waitress plainly replied«there is no manager here» before disappearing again. This was easily one of the worst service experienced that I’ve ever had. A simple update from our waitress probably could have made things better — and maybe some quicker drink service. Oh, and my girlfriend had to send back her Coke not once, but twice, because it was flat. This was the first time in my life that I have ever left zero tip. Everyone in my party is a generous tipper, too. It’s a shame that the waitress couldn’t even communicate to us what was going on. The original Bistango location is fantastic. And, once we actually got our food, the food at this location was very good. But, I would never return. Brunch in a mostly empty restaurant in Manhattan should not take 2 hours. But, then again, a restaurant during prime Sunday brunching hours should never be empty in Manhattan, so we probably should have taken the hint.

3.5 stars. Overall, it was ok. My boyfriend and I went here using a living social deal. $ 45 for brunch a supposed $ 85 value. It came with one appetizer to share, 2 entrees and 2 mimosas. Our app never came but the entrees were ok nothing different than the ordinary pasta. Our waitress didn’t put in our order for the app because she didn’t hear us. She was very nice and apologized put the order in and even gave us a bloody Mary on the house.(Although my boyfriend and I don’t drink bloody Marys it was still a nice gesture) but thank god she brought the app. It was delicious!

I dined here last Friday night with my brother and we both absolutely loved our meal. My brother has dined at their Murray Hill location many times, so we decided to give this location a try to see if it was just as good. Our meal was great! They were extremely accommodating regarding both my brother’s allergies(gluten, dairy, and nuts) and my allergies(soy and nuts). My brother started out with the octopus(which was absolutely delicious and I don’t even like seafood) and I started out with the kale caesar. We then both had the short rib pasta, his gluten free, mine regular. Both were very delicious! While it’s most certainly not cheap, it’s worth every penny. I will most certainly be back soon!

The fish tank is gorgeous and the fish look well cared for so A+ for that! Came on a weekday night with a friend who has Celiac’s. She was over the moon about the menu and loved the food, so that was also great. The food WAS delish and the beer list was better than I expected. We ate outside but the inside looked really adorable. Really my only complaint is that our waiter was frazzled when the place was nowhere near crowded. He brought our entrees, asked if we wanted cheese or pepper, went to get it and we never saw him again until our plates were cleared. He was very nice, though.. as was the hostess. Bummed I forgot to checkin and get the Unilocal discount.
