Large gym with decent equipment. Everything is clean and well maintained. Like everyone else says, you really can’t beat $ 25/​month in New York. The one downside is that it’s almost always uncomfortably packed during lunch hours. But what can you expect for such a good deal? It’s still possible to get in a quick workout. Just like anywhere else, the weight area and mats are always full and the cardio area is empty. There are some meatheads, but not too bad since they don’t have a ton of heavy free weights.

I been to two other Blink locations but this one was closer to my workplace. The gym is located on the lower level (like the Chelsea one) and is very easy to miss. The staff is friendly but every time I go there is at least a 2 person line for every machine. I rather not waste my time waiting for a machine while I could be working out.

Do not join this gym. The Blink policies are reprehensible and unconscionable. In fact, they make policies up as they go along in order to extort money from you. If you look on the better business bureau website you will see numerous complaints by customers for improper and fraudulent practices. The customer service is nonexistent and the «managers» who do get back to you are useless and rude. The Blink moto is clearly, «the customer is always wrong.» Never join this gym despite the price, because you will end up paying more in wasted time and hidden fees.
As for the gym: it is always crowded hot and smelly. There are lines to shower in the mornings.

Can’t beat the price. It’s brand new, so the space is immaculate. Lots of machines. I go after work and it hasn’t been as crowded as I expected. I’m excited that a Blink will be opening near my apartment soon as well!

The price is right, but that seems about it. Blink Bryant Park. $ 25/​mo no commitment, but a 45 day cancellation period. Granted the only comparison I have is Equinox, this place is a mixed bag. I think the only reason anyone signs up here is the price.
The gym overall is new, it just opened, but it is no-​frills. The layout seems completely random & non-​ideal, and in order to get from the entrance to the locker rooms you’re walking through about 10 people’s workouts on machines. The locker room isn’t even labeled and you feel like you’re walking down a long service hallway at first.
No towel service is worse than I thought. When you sign up, you think for the price you can wing it. It kind of sucks. You bring your own towel, sure, but then you have to carry a wet towel around all day in your bag now, since this is generally a midtown-​office-​gym. When you’re on the treadmill and sweating, you likely have no towel, and become drenched. Not many fans and it gets warm. The showers don’t really inspire you to use them, and I don’t feel like those in the locker rooms do. There are too many people in the locker rooms, even midday.
In terms of crowd, midday is slower obviously, but there are always guys on the weights and body-​building machines. The entire cardio section could have 2 people in it, and a bunch of young guys are using the biggest weights they can find to build their already overloaded muscles. On the machines, I’ve seen lots of people who finish their set and sit there to check their phones or relax. You wait, wait, and eventually they move.
Around 4:00 — 5:00pm the crowd ramps up quickly. Locker rooms are overcrowded then and you can often not find a bench spot to change. Too many semi-​naked types in a space to be comfortable. The crowded feel extends to the workout floor you have to walk through. The cardio machines usually have plenty of space though, since no one seems to use them.
The machines are all new. I was initially impressed with the personal TV’s on the treadmills. It seems they are low/​medium resolution though, definitely not a crisp picture. They also seem to be odd channels with far too many commercials coming on. I found myself flipping through channels (while running), trying to find one without commercials, only to find a news channel. You can’t escape the thumping music with earbud headphones, and I think they were playing spanish music at several points, nothing you probably recognize if you’re not into that scene.
That being said, the type of people that come here seem to be the type that either can’t afford more than $ 25/​mo, or aren’t serious enough about working out to pay more. I came for the price myself of course, not ready to rejoin equinox’s over-​expensive rate.
I don’t feel like the crowd is a midtown office crowd, there seemed to be no professional types here at all. I was expecting more of a young-​professional vibe, but it isn’t that for sure. I feel like it is all the guys that work part-​time at retail or the deli’s, and this is their gym. No one is in shape, no one is particularly attractive if you’re into that. The male to female ratio seemed about 10-​to-​1 when I went. Part of the motivation of a gym is feeling like you’re part of a serious crowd, the atmosphere didn’t inspire that for me. There are mostly just young body building types with wife-​beaters and baseball caps on.
The staff all seemed young and slightly unprofessional, but were all friendly. None seemed athletic or anything, just like some random job they got. I saw some that appeared to be trainers, but they didn’t inspire knowledge or experience in their methods. I have not tried the service though.
The only reason I give it two stars is the gym is new and clean and price is right. The rest is just a low-​price gym feel, and often you get what you pay for.

Not very organized.
A lot of the same machines dispersed all over or not enough of a different machine. Even the set up doesn’t allow to walk around with out feeling like you’re going to disrupt everyone’s workout.
Also, very important to those who are always conscious that form is everything, mirrors are only half way long, so if you’re doing anything on the floor forget about checking your form.
Lastly, as a sales person I believe that you have to be what you’re selling, specially in the fitness industry. These trainers do not encourage me at all. Many of the girls I’ve seen are not virtually in shape. In fact, I’ve seen some put their clients at risk of serious injury, making them stand on the bosu ball to do squats, for example, when the clients are obviously in their beginner stages.
I guess you get what you pay for, eh?

$ 1 initiation promo fee at this new location? Sold! For $ 25 a month, I get to go to any Blink location in the city. Even better! I’ve been a member of NYSC for the past 5 years and I was getting fed up with their increasing membership prices and lack of facility improvements. To be honest, I mostly use the treadmill, bike and elliptical machines so why not go to a no frills no thrills gym for $ 25 a month vs $ 80 a month. I am excited that this place opened near my office but that could also mean it will be overcrowded. I went on the opening day around 5 pm and the place got super packed by 5:30. There was literally a line to get into the facility. The only setback is they do not provide towels unless you pay for it. I think it’s $ 3.
