I used class pass to try the intro pole dance class today. I have to say that I love it! If you want to go to a studio with excellent teacher and good routine for beginner, this is it. I will not say that this is easy tho. Get prepared. Make sure to be prepared. Eat something before coming to class, because you’ll be WORKING OUT HARDCORE.
Out of my 90 minute class, I got to do warm up for 30 minutes before the class so I was warmed up and ready to work out. Good selection of music, and good company in the class! I had fun. Instruction was clear. It is not intimidating.
tip: make sure to wear shorts and sleeveless. You will need to use skin friction against pole.
tip: check with front desk for good deals. I know this class is more expensive but i know that i ENJOY time here.

This is for the Flexibility class only. This class is AMAZING!!! Mind you, I have the flexibility of a 90 year old man… Aaaaand I’ve only taken one class but walking out I felt so blissed out and loose. The feeling was exactly what I always thought a really good massage should feel like but never does. My goal is to do a split some time in the next year, give or take a 2017. I don’t know how many classes it will take to get me there, but if Taylor Swift can do it, dangit! I’m gonna try.

I really wish this place was closer to my apartment. I tend to get pretty bored with normal workouts so I’m always looking for something more interesting. I first tried Body & Pole with a GiltCity promotion for 5 classes and then purchased 5 more.
To start, it was very easy to cash in my Gilt voucher and I wasn’t treated any differently than the customers paying full price. Better yet, none of the staff ever tried to push me to buy more classes.
Funny enough, I have not taken a single pole class, but I have taken several different flex and aerial. At a lot of studios, even beginner classes can be intimidating, but I always felt completely welcome regardless my abilities.
Flex Level 1 with Samantha Star — I took this class several times. It’s one of the larger classes, but there’s still plenty of individual attention if you need it. The instructor was always happy to provide a modification if a pose was too difficult or painful. I used to be super flexible, but I’ve definitely lost my edge over the last few years. This class made me feel like I could get back to where I used to be with a little work.
Aerial Contortion with Elaina Royter — This class is pretty similar to Flex Level 1, but with cool fabric hammocks! It’s technically open level but it’s still beginner friendly.
MELT with Marisa Merliss — So this isn’t an exercise class, it’s all about recovery, but it felt amazing, almost as good as a massage! I liked MELT so much, I found a gym closer to home that offers classes.
Intro to Fabric with Lynze Schiller and Joanna Skora — The class is really challenging, but very fun. These instructors definitely had a different style but they were both great. Lynze’s class was a bit more fast-​paced and I really liked that she gave us exercises to do while it wasn’t our turn on the fabric. Joanna’s class seemed to have more foundation exercises, but also taught a sequence of moves that could be the foundation of a routine which was cool.

Well, first of all, I am biased. So there is no other place on the earth like Body & Pole to me. Been training here for almost two years and half. On and off in between due to life commitment, but it was always always a nice feeling to be back. It will be quite intimidating if you are a brand-​new starter, because all instructors and a lot of students here are warriors meaning they are very capable of doing tricks you may only see it on TV.
I highly recommend everybody at least try it out. This is a studio if you want to come to learn from the best. It doesn’t matter you want to learn or try it out for fun or think it as a serious professional career path. This place will teach you to give 100% no matter what.

Hands down the best pole studio in the east coast (NY, NJ, PA, MD, VA, DC). I was going to say in the world, but since there are also some nice studios I haven’t been to in LA and some other countries, I decide not to exaggerate. I have been to many studios in those states I mentioned above because I do a lot of travel. B&P is by far the most professional, well-​organized and friendly studio I have ever been to so far. Some people gave it negative review based on two things: 1. the environment is a little intimidating for beginners; 2. the policy is too strict. I have a different view on those issues.

1. I started as a beginner last year, I still consider myself as a beginner now. I never feel like I am underestimated for my potential and skills. The instructors here are champions who have been through a lot of world competitions. After all those hard works, they are the ones know that how much it takes to get to their level. And they encourage you a lot even you make a small progress. If you go to a smaller studio, it is going to be a different story: The instructors are probably at «somewhat» advanced level. They probably are still working on some moves themselves and they tend to emphasize too much on how awesome they are other than provide service to students in a professional manner. By that I mean showing offs. In some studio, I saw instructors at somewhat advanced level show off a lot, but in BP, I never see a world champion like Michelle Stanek shows off. Also, here each students get equal attention, whereas some place the instructor just favor students who are more advanced than you.
2. The strict studio policy, which I love! Don’t get me wrong. I am not a mean person who like to see others been punished. As a matter of fact, I have been charged late fee for 3 times, that is $$ 105. But I still love their policy. It is what makes the studio organized. You can always book a class that suits your level everyday. There will be no one walking in the classroom and interrupt your workout.
3. They have work studies who are taking care of everything. That means professional front desk at all hours. I love Jessie, I love Sebastian, I love all work studies in B&P. They are helpful, good dancers with a nice attitude.
If I must have a negative review, I wish the floor is cleaner. I once wore white socks in the studio and it was, oh, man.

I’ve been to a few different pole studios in New York but it wasn’t until I started taking classes at Body & Pole that I started to see real progress and also started to feel a sense of community. I went to New York Pole Dancing on and off for about 2 years and was kind of just lost in the fray, never made it out of Level 1. When I picked up pole dancing at Body & Pole again a couple of years later, it only took a few weeks of lessons for an instructor to notice me and tell me that I should really move on to Level 2. Since moving up, I’ve progressed so much, and I’m so happy about it!
I highly recommend Body & Pole if you’re more interested in the artistry of pole dancing, rather than general booty popping. The instructors here are true artists and professionals. Life makes my attendance sporadic, but whenever I’m able to go, I try to take classes with Rica and Ivory. Rica is so much fun and she really cares about her students. She’s helped me get past many of my fears and insecurities, which has helped me to improve so much. Ivory is such a methodical instructor and is able to build you up slowly to difficult moves so that they’re not so daunting. I really love this place; finding Body & Pole was truly like coming home!

Just had my first class & it kicked my booty! It’s been awhile since an exercise class & Kyra was really helpful & patient. After my body recovers, I will be back for more classes, as I had bought an intro package of 5 classes to be used in 30days. Timing is strict for classes, but it’s for a reason — to keep the classes & the business running effectively & efficiently. So, I understand their policy. Everyone here has been really nice & helpful & I appreciate that. Looking forward to building my strength & learning more moves!

– Detail reviews of each instructors, based on my personal experience. –
~~~ Shaina Cruea — This was the «sailor» I mentioned earlier. First, there were only 7 poles in the room we had her class, she insist on using only the pole in the middle of the room & do the moves with the group, so the girl who was using the middle pole does not get to practice at all.
She called out to me & said «You will dance with group 2» — Where is group 2 when there’s only 1 person who’s singled out??? (& no, the instructor did not give me sufficient to try the moves or do the moves with me afterwards.) She could’ve rotate around the room but she didn’t. This happen for all the moves that she was teaching. (All the girls in class talked afterwards & we all felt it was very inappropriate but none of us want to embarrass the instructor since it was only Day 1…)
She did not go around the room to help people who were less «talented», she cheered on to the advance students & left the rest to defend on their own.
To top it off, this instructors CURSE like a sailor… I mean she really CANNOT say a full sentence without saying F* this & F* that. Example «Point your f*cking toes… straight your f*cking leg… swing the f*ck around…» —- Seriously? I expect much more PROFESSIONALISM from a well know studio like B&P. One or 2 slips is fine… but that was not the case. She made me feel like I’m down in some ghetto strip club where an uneducated stripper is teaching her girls & is doing us a favor.
~~~ Sam Star —- (Instructor on Day 1– Handspring/​Handstand & taught Fonji on Day 2), she is simply an INCREDIBLE instructor & performer. All instructors @ B&P are very qualified in their field of apparatus, but not all can teach.
Our class of 7 students range from a «just started poling 4 months ago» to «qualified instructors from another studio». My friend & I are in the middle, we’ve been poling for 2-​ish years, we are more low to mid-​intermediate range.
Sam broke down all the moves step by step —- how to build it up from the fundamentals. She went to every pole to check on each girl & addressed on what they should work on based on their level so everyone have something to work on but at the same time she will spot you on certain moves to help you to get the feel on what it should feels like. She emphasized on every person is just working at a different point in the process & you will progress differently, & it wasn’t easy for her either in the beginning — but with persistent you will get it. She makes you feel great for stick with pole even though it hurt, it bruise & it rip your skin off… but it’s worth it.
~~~ Jill Carnegie — She is another incredible instructor that you can feel she really cares about her students & it’s not just a job. She was teaching «Shoulders: Prep, Efficient Mobilization, & Recovery» — all 7 of us loved this class, it helps me understand our body & what it really means when instructor tells us to «keep our shoulder down» & how to engage our lower trap.
She showed us step by step on how to warm up our shoulders use different method, different way to engage, & why it’s important to protect certain muscle. She gave each of us a copy of the shoulder muscle diagram & explain to us in details. At the end of the class, she let us stretch using the hammock… it felt great.
Wish this course was on the last day, that would probably be a great «wrap up» course…
~~~ Rebecca Starr — She was teaching Power Pole Progressions for Legs on Day 2 & Spin Pole on Day 3. Overall, she’s an OK instructor. Skilled but not good at explaining.
When we’re doing stretching, she does go around the class &help each person to correct their form & posture, I found that very helpful.
However, during the actual pole class, I feel like her class can improve greatly if she gives equal attention to all the students in the class instead of putting more of her focus on the advance students. Also, because all of us have different background & experience different challenges, it will be great if she can hear what the student have to say instead of assuming we are all at the same level or assuming we don’t know the form. Some of us have flexibility issue, some of us due to past experience — certain move might not feel right, some of us just want to get a feel of what the moves feel like so we can work on it on our own. Communication is very important.
~~~ Michelle Natoli — She is adorable. She is very patience & try to be helpful to everyone. I like how her warm up feels more like a dance than warm up. She does break down each move step-​by-​step & she does go around the room to help each person but often get distracted because there was a lot of things going on & she tried to spot multiple person, probably not a great idea due to safety reason. But she’s genuine and humble, I like her.

Best place ever to take a class. I’m spoiled now. I don’t think I can take a class anywhere else. The only thing is — sign up for your classes ahead of time cause it sucks getting there only to realize there is no more room.

Bad front desk experience. I went in for a class and asked some questions and they were very mean and didn’t even say bye when leaving.
Worst first impression ever!

Fun and challenging! I’ve done a number of intro to Aerial Hoop and Aerial Fabric classes, and let it be known that it is NOT easy to execute these movements, let alone do it gracefully. New-​found, firsthand experience respect for aerial artists! I’ve never done a pole class here so I can’t comment on those, but I imagine the skill set is similarly difficult to master.
My favorite instructors here are Hannah Corbin for fabrics, and Elena Delgado for hoop.
I’ve taken many more fabric classes than hoop, so I’ve had a wider sampling of fabric instructors. Hannah is by far the most instructive in terms of specificity (you’d be surprised how some teachers have a hard time articulating exactly what you should be doing), relaxed, and encouraging. Best of all, she tailors the class based on your experience level. So if you’ve already mastered the climb on fabric, she won’t have you repeat the foot-​lock a million times. She gave really helpful tips, one of which helped the in-​the-​air footlock click for me. I also liked that she watched my form and gave me specific feedback on how I could improve. She was the first one to point out that I over-​rely on my left side when climbing, which is my stronger side. Sadly I only discovered her towards the end of my class package.
Elena is fun, energetic, and makes you feel totally comfortable in an intro class. She’s also very good in terms of instruction and as with many other instructors, she’ll help you get onto the hoop especially if it’s your first time and you find it challenging. I definitely recommend her for your first hoop class.
They are very strict about lateness, with good reason. If you are more than 4 minutes late, you will not be allowed in your class. Classes are an hour and 15 minutes, and the first 15 minutes of each class is warm up, which is important for injury prevention. Personally I enjoy not having strained tendons/​ligaments/​muscles. If you agree, then you will dig the warm ups. These classes are tough on your upper body, back, and core. Your shoulders and wrists will protest. I had decent upper body strength from a year of rock climbing when I took my first aerial fabric/​hoop classes. I was able to complete most of the beginner skills, but was surprised by how tough it was, and how much my hands hurt from holding my body weight up by gripping fabric!
Stretching is incorporated in the warm up as well, and it absolutely comes in handy 30 minutes into the class, when you’re attempting to contort your body into a version of a split mid-​air.
All the classes I’ve taken have been in the small studio on the second floor, max of 6 people, and two of either hoops or fabrics. Classes are usually full, and ends up being 3 people to a hoop/​fabric. Taking turns has worked out fine as you need rest in between. As I progressed, I preferred smaller classes and more time on the fabrics.
In terms of improvements, when I asked about number of classes and mastery level expected to move from Intro to Level 1 classes, I received some conflicting answers depending on who I asked. It seems that it’s a bit fluid, so some clearer guideline would be helpful, especially since classes are expensive.
That’s the other improvable part– it would take a good amount of practice to advance at a good pace. Their unlimited class pricing is out of reach for most people, especially if you have other gym memberships. First class is $ 25, and afterwards they offer you 3 classes for $ 69, then 5 for $ 99… you see where this is going.
They also don’t allow photos/​videos until after the class is over. This has been rushed in the past, and the instructors don’t always allow (or have time) for everyone who wants to get on for a photo, so plan accordingly.
That said, it’s a fun, different type of workout/​skill building experience. Grab a friend if you can. Highly recommend giving it a try!

Wanted to update this review because my first review is old. They have since moved to a new location which is much larger and way more gorgeous. Class offerings have expanded and the staff here is hands down the best in the world. TONS of class types and every instructor is jaw dropping. SO talented, so kind and welcoming. My only complaint is I live so far away this place has to be a treat on vacations!!! (HOWEVER, i totally plan vacations around being able to attend classes here because I love this place so much) If you only ever try one studio in the world, this one is one hell of a studio to pick. WOW.

Horrible customer service. Nothing but a bunch of sissy bitches. I truly hate to speak that way but this customer services leaves you with a DISGUSTING taste in your mouth. This studio seems to act high and might simply for their location. I would suggest looking for a more down to earth studio that actually values their customers of ALL LEVELS.
They don’t refund anything and use any excuse to rob you of your money.
Of classes that are not even worth the amount of money they charge you for.
You’d be very silly to sign up for these classes.

This is my home away from home! I live in Portland, Or and own a studio there, but come to Body and Pole as much as I can. This place is perfect whether you are just starting out in pole, or you’re an ‘old pole fart’ like me who’e been at it for 11 years. All the instructors are certified in multiple certifications ranging from pilates, yoga, pole and more, many of who have national titles in pole. Don’t wait, come here! :)

So far, I have had great experiences with this studio. I lead a dance interest group at my school, and every semester we bring a group of around 12 people to take an intro class that is private for our group. We have done pole, hoop, and silks and had a great time every time.
The studio is clean and cared for in a professional manner. They sanitize the equipment in between classes, and the bathrooms are also in great condition.
For all the classes we tried, we had teachers that were enthusiastic about their craft and were excited to teach us the basics. Some participants, like I am, have a lot of dance experience, while others had never done anything like this before, and all 3 instructors were able to balance the differing levels of experience to make the class enjoyable for everyone.
I would come back in a heartbeat to take further class in any one of the disciplines if it weren’t so expensive! I wish they had a student discount, or some sort of class card that significantly discounts classes. I understand that with such individualized classes they need smaller class sizes, but the only reason I haven’t returned is simply price.

wow! absolutely amazing studio. register for classes early so they don’t get booked up. the facility is very clean and has multiple rooms with simultaneous classes. Instructors are amazing.

So it looks like reviews are all over the place for Body and Pole, and I think there are so many variables in play that the only way to find out is to try out a few different instructors and see whose teaching style suits you best.
The one thing I am sure of is that Body and Pole recruits only the best instructors to its studio — several of them have competed nationally and are well-​known in their field. As someone who was completely new to pole prior to my experience at B&P, these are my thoughts:
1. It’s easy to find a class that would fit your schedule. They have pole Level 1 classes daily except for Monday.
2. Classes are 1.5 hours long, with a half hour warmup and an hour on the pole. You typically learn a «flow», which is a combination of moves, practice some strength moves like pole climbs or pole pull ups, and culminate with a two minute «do what the f you want» freestyle dance.
3. Depending on the kind of workout and class experience you want, you simply have to go to the instructor that suits you. I prefer a stronger focus on conditioning and strength, hence my preference for Lian’s class — she pushes you hard in the 30 minutes of conditioning before you actually practice on the pole. I personally found Roz’s warmup insufficiently aerobic, but if you like things a little more laidback, she’s for you. If you want to develop a repertoire of moves, Kelly’s your gal as she gives you variations for any one particular move. I personally found the demonstration of several combinations at a go confusing as a noob dancer, so that wasn’t for me, but might be in the future. I’ve attended classes by other instructors, so feel free to message me if you have questions.
Now for the cons:
1. Substitutions are not announced ahead of time, so if you do have a preferred instructor (as I do), you might get annoyed that your instructor unknowingly underwent a swaparoo. Still, I guess it’s better than having the class cancelled.
2. Sometimes, your favorite instructor might dial up or down the complexity and difficulty of the combinations she typically teaches depending on the level of noobness in the class. So if you are taught something you’ve been taught before and find it boring, remember that you can always perfect even the most basic of moves, whether it’s a dip turn or a climb.
3. There are six poles in a classroom, and classes take up to 12 people. So sometimes, you’ll have to share a pole. If you want to be a pole hog, go to an off-​hour class. It depends — sometimes I get so worn out practicing on the pole continuously I appreciate having to take turns, but other times if I’m learning a move I’ve learned before, I’d rather take more time to the pole to hone it.
Overall, I’ve found pole extremely rewarding from a fitness perspective. I hated my intro class because my instructor had a bit of a vexed attitude in trying to get my hands and feet to move in coordination, but still I was intrigued by the idea and tried out a bunch of instructors until I found my happy groove.

This place is amazing! The instructors really know what they’re doing. I was amazed at the amount of what I learn each class! Its pricey but compared to other locations but I really think you get what you paid for cause they’re so good at what they do. I tried Crunch’s pole class because I had a 3 day guest pass and it was nowhere CLOSE to the experience you get at Body and Pole. The instructions really invest in each of their students and always make sure you’re Give this place a try if you think you’re serious about pole and want to invest in training yourself with really amazing instructors! (shout out to Liz and Stella!)

I have really enjoyed the pole classes that I’ve taken at body and pole. So far I have take 4 pole level 1 classes and enjoyed Kelly and Rica’s the most. I liked Kelly because she focused on the dance aspect of it, whereas I liked Rica’s because I loved her technicality of the moves. In all of the classes, I felt like the instructors explained and demonstrated a spin, climb, or move very thoroughly. Furthermore, I appreciated the packages that I received as a first timer. $ 25 for first class, $ 69 for 3 classes in 30 days, and $ 99 for 5 classes in 6 months. The length of the classes (1.5 hours vs 1 hour at other studios) is a plus as well. I will surely return to this studio and recommend it to my friends

Came here with a group of friends and took the intro to pole ($ 25). Our instructor was Liz; she was extremely engaging and made the entire experience very enjoyable and comfortable. You definitely will get a good workout in. The class is 90 minutes long; 30 minutes of stretching/​warming up and the rest of the time allocated to learning basic moves.

Only reason I’m giving this three stars is because I do not like the front desk people. They are very cold and unwelcoming.
BUT that being said, the BEST class I’ve taken there is the Conditioning for Aerial (bodyART) class. Alicia is an AMAZING teacher with great energy. She doesn’t pause for breaks, gives great modifications and advancements in the movements. The stretching is fantastic and i left feeling as though I had a great workout, great stretch and great sweat! Can’t wait for my next class.

I’ve taken 3 Intro to pole and 4 Level 1 classes so far. Tbh going from intro to pole 1 was kind of hard. There was climbing, which I’d never done and wasn’t prepared for in terms of strength.
BUT I’ve seen obvious improvements after four classes (once a week). I’ve had various instructors, all of whom were great. The difficulty level I think varies depending on how many people are in a given class and what the level is for the majority. It does take some patience. I’m at a place now where I just started to get level 1 and it became more fun for me instead of nerve racking.
I think Body & Pole really focuses on improving your skill level. You can be at level 1 for a long time. All the instructors say you work toward level 2, which is inversion. I wish they had a level choreography class? You can do a lot of nice routines with level 1 techniques (spins, floor work, basic climbs, etc).
I really like Kelly’s Level 1 classes. She tends to incorporate choreography which makes it more fun. I’ve also had good experience with Lian and Liz. Stella is nice and personable but her pace is a bit slower/​beginner-​friendly.

I love this studio and the classes here. Yet the unwarranted RUDENESS and SUDDEN CHANGE OF POLICIES really f$&@ks that up. Ive never really agreed with any neg reviews really, so its crazy suspicious when EVERY BAD REVIEW ON HERE ABOUT THE FRONT DESK STAFF IS ON POINT. They truly ruin thangs.
FAST FORWARD A YEAR TO SEPT 2015. I guess I do hold grudges…
I added 3 stars because when it comes down to it, this is a phenom studio with a avant garde and well trained dance instructors. Even tho I truly didn’t appreciate that front desk girl asserting her authority with me, they probly just wanna make sure you are in class on time and that’s one less bump in the road overall. I don’t think they care if you’re an hour early and hang out and leave well beyond the finish of the last class, just be there on time.

Body and pole is so awesome! I went for the first time this past weekend and spent the day there. I took three classes, body art, pole level 4, and finding your freestlye. All of the instructors, (beca pace, samantha star, and danielle romano) were incredible. Im mad at myself for not trying classes there sooner.
Body art was hard!!! And i loved every painful second if it.
Level 4 pole was really challenging which was great!
And freestlye with danielle was so incredible. It was a small group, she was so helpful and really payed attention to each of us as individuals and showered us with love and kindness. The class was so liberating and i feel like i got so much out of that 90 minute class. I cant wait to go back!

I have been learning pole dancing from this establishment for about 2 months now. I don’t have any other pole place to compare it too in NYC, but I have taken a few pole classes in Chicago.
So far, I love Body & Pole. I’ve taken 3 Intro to Pole classes and I’ve been steady in Pole 1. They have a variety of instructors and class times to choose from 7 days a week. Their registration process is easy, all done online, however, classes do fill up early so it’s best to register in advance. The studio itself is lovely. there’s also a nice welcoming atmosphere. Most students I’ve met are friendly and approachable. I hope to meet new people and make new friends here. Did that sound cheesy? Eh, whatever lol, it’s true.
Anyways, I’ve taken classes from many teachers so far: Liz Epp, Rica de Ocampo, Stella Fink, Kelly McLaughlin, and Lara Michaels. My favorite instructors so far were Liz Epp and Lara Michaels. Liz has a great, fun, bubbly and quirky energy. She teachers little routines sometimes. Lara is eccentric and fun as well, and she challenges you with tough moves that you may not have tried before. The other instructors were good as well, but I felt I jived best thus far with Liz and Lara.
On top of their staff and studio, Body & Pole also has a great newsletter that gets sent out via email every week or so. Sometimes these newsletters include deals/​upcoming promotions/​events/​etc.
Cost wise, they have a few helpful promotions for starters:

After your first class, you have 24 hours to buy 3 classes for $ 100 pass, to be used within 30 days.
Overall, I’m loving this studio. I look forward to trying other instructors as well.

I really like Body & Pole.
My friends took me here for my bachelorette party (they do private classes for groups!) and we had so much fun I ended up buying a pass for a few classes. The instructor who led my private class (Lara), was super awesome so I was slightly sad to learn that she usually taught the more advanced classes. I took an Intro to Pole class (which turned out to be very similar to the material covered at my bachelorette party) and was able to sign up for Pole I after that. Most of the classes I took were with Meritza, who was also a great instructor.
I play roller derby and it turns out pole is excellent cross-​training because of all the core work. As an athlete I especially loved the flexibility training class that I attended on a Sunday night; it was like yoga on steroids! I felt so stretched out and relaxed afterwards.
You can sign up for their classes online in advance, which is great. The locker room could be a bit larger (though maybe it is now that they’ve expanded the facility to multiple floors?). I loved coming here in the winter and being able to peel off all my layers for class and still have it be a cozy temperature in the studios.

Officially called the desk last week to have them close my account, I couldn’t delete my cc info… she asked me if I was sure… took me two seconds to think about it… yes, you treated me el crappo and I was there from the start, adiós… i have no idea what’s wrong with these people, I have emailed and called countless of times for over a year and asked they remove me from their distro; each time I speak to someone, they swear I’m off and then… give it a week, I’m still on!

Facility is actually pretty nice, they have 3 floors with small — medium size classrooms. Lockers and bathrooms on two floors.
The instructors are very friendly and informative. They are very hands on and will help you complete the move every single time.
Classes start on time and are very small depending on your class. Although there were only a few students per class, it was still very packed for some reason.
I tried the intro to pole and enjoyed it a lot (although I have absolute no dancing abilities). Coming into this class, I was very scared because I never thought about doing pole dancing. Our instructor (Diva) was so animated and so friendly and made us laugh so often that the class became very intimate and cozy.
The intro to hoop class was very interesting. This class is very arm intensive, so not really for people who have no upper body strength. I struggled a lot even though I do a lot of weight training.
Classes are super expensive =X if I didn’t get a deal on a package bundle, I probably would have steered away.
