Unfortunately the other reviewers are correct as I have experienced similar things in this store. The other thing that is really annoying about this Bolton’s is that they NEVER seem to open on time. During the week they are supposed to open at 9:30am. I have never seen it up at that time. I walk by the store around that time most weekdays and ladies often line up to get into the store. Often 10am rolls around and women are still waiting around. There is never an apology. The clerk just lets herself in, locks back and, and goes about her business prepping to open. I’ve seen ladies get hopping mad about this. It’s really too bad.

WARNING: do not come here. Pretend this store does not exist. You will thank me! I generally really like boltons stores but entering this location will suck out your faith in humanity and ruin the rest of your week. How? Not sure but they managed to do it! It’s like entering the customer service twilight zone. One of the managers counted change for 10 minutes while I tried to get her attention. When i called her out louder On the fourth try, thinking she didn’t hear me the first three times, she turned to me and told me to wait while she continued counting change. Ten minutes later I finally asked if I could try something on(30 minutes before the store closed) and she said no. I spent the next few minutes wondering if I should buy the item ad return it the next day but decided to leave it and write this review instead. Sorry guys, please try the other boltons near grand central.

Walking by, late at night, I was drawn to some of the outfits that the mannequins were sporting on display in the windows. I knew absolutely nothing about the store, though, so I did a quick Unilocal search when I got back to the hotel, and despite the low ratings, I was drawn by the idea of cheap clothing. Going in to the store was a complete waste of time. There were two girls working when we walked in, and no other customers inside. The one girl that was closer to the front made brief eye contact with me and gave a half smile, but neither of them said anything by way of greeting. I took a look at the racks closest to the doors, and was surprised by the cost of the items. I found the dresses that originally lured me in, and quickly realized that I’d never pay *that* price for *that* dress. I did a tour of the rest of the shop, just to see if anything on the sale racks were worth the visit, but I was not impressed. Most of the clothes felt very… uh…old-lady-ish. That feeling came from the cut of the clothes, the patterns of the fabric, and the cost of some individual items. So now I know that a cute outfit in a store window doesn’t always equal a store full of cute clothes for sale. Lesson learned.

The clothing here is overpriced for what it is(which is cheap, poorly made clothes). The store is always hot with tiny dressing rooms. The people who work here are not only unfriendly but rude. Plus they have a really bad return policy.

Dipped into Bolton’s just to see what they had. The costume jewelry display caught my eye. I caught the cashier’s eye and she didn’t take ‘em off me the entire time. Wow. I was just trying on the rings lady. Fortunately, the one I liked fit and I bought it. See…
