I agree with the other reviewers, fake sale signs piss me off. In this day of smartphones true prices can be ascertained quite easily. I just go to browse and then buy the shoes elesewhere for less.

I wonder if anyone ever falls for their fake«sale» signs. They take a $ 200 shoe, then claim the actual retail price is $ 400, draw a cross over it and declare«SALEPRICE $ 200…½ off!» Also anyone who knows anything about shopping would know Syms and Century 21 are just blocks away and you could find similar shoes for much less. The same style of Allen Edmonds was available at Century 21 for $ 60 less than their fake sale price.

I have been needing to replace the laces on my black dress shoes, and I have actually had difficulty finding new laces to buy. The one location of Macy’s I checked was selling collar stays at exorbitant prices, but had nothing in the way of laces. The story was similar at other places. At Stapleton’s though, I walked right in and was able to get them in less than one minute. Total cost: $ 1.50. Wow, that was convenient. I was pleased with the kind and friendly service and the generally good shoe selection from what I could see. I will have to stop back and check them out for shoes in the near future.
