Bubby’s High Line

The service was very slow, and the food is way over priced and didn’t taste that good. The pancake was so dry I need 2 maple syrups. Denny has better pancakes. The coffee was cold. The only thing I liked was the bacon. Don’t waist your money.

Good food, good deserts, nice location, nice ambience… Only deterrence is service. The hostess did not want to sit me in an area even though the restaurant was empty because she wanted to sit me in a specific «zone.» When i said, «thats not very customer-​centric!» She nodded in agreement and acted as if she had no control. Then, when I asked my waiter to come over bc the soup was not hot, he visibly rolled his eyes. We ordered desert and it took 30 min to get it.

Service was not great, wobbly table issue was not solved by 3 staff members. In the evening the ac does not work or doesn’t work properly so the entire place is hot and humid. The taco platter was good but the house chicken salad was awful. The pieces of chicken sprinkled on salad were not pieces, they were chunks! Unappetizing!
Drinks were good.
Because of the awful salad and the humid sauna like atmosphere I will have to give this place two stars and can certainly say that I will not be back.

I had an excellent fried chicken and biscuit sandwich. It was an extremely generous portion with lots of lettuce and spicy mustard. It is also right by the end of the high line.

Pleasant, busy breakfast spot. I’d return if in the area. We sat outside. I had the sourdough pancakes which were very good but I couldn’t really detect the sourdough. My friend had eggs with side of bacon. A little on the pricey side for what you get because of the location. Tab before tax/​tip with two coffees was $ 64
p. s. I’ve eaten lunch here as well (burger, fries). Just average for what you pay.

Solid spot. A little bit overpriced. But it’s an expensive area so everything here is pricey anywyss.
Had a great burger and my friends had the chicken which was superb.
Good atmosphere.
Great drinks.
Only complaint is for the food which seemed a little bit pricey. Otherwise I would give it 5 stars.

I love this place, my all time favorite for breakfast. The hollandaise sauce is incredible. They have the best hash browns super crispy and flavorful. They also have amazing bacon. It’s a great spot outside seating and gets busy quick. I like this location better because you can shop around after.

Legendary biscuits, great coffee + attentive and friendly staff are the biggest pros. Comparing to Bubby’s at Tribeca maybe too crowded.

This place charged $ 22 for one scrambled egg white and 2 «slices» of wheat toast with large holes so that all that remained was a crust with nothing in the interior piece.
A rip-​off to me!

Drinks were refreshing (strawberry spritz and bourbon tea) Food was good, we had devil eggs for starters and the chicken supper for the entrée to share. Service is good as well, just the chicken wasn’t what I expected. But overall definitely should check it out if you’re by the highline.

Checked this place out while I killed time waiting for an event to start and was indeed hungry. The place was semi-​full so it was great as I had easy pickings of a table or sitting at the bar. I decided on the latter to engage in human interaction with those nearby. The staff was attentive and friendly. I quickly scanned the menu and knew what I would get. It was a great choice, the lentil veggie burger, consisting of pickled daikon, cucumber, lettuce, tomato, red onions with a chipotle sauce and skinny fries was delicious. The burger was so big I had to leave several bites of it and almost half of the fries too. I downed that baby with a jalapeño cilantro margarita and baby that has to be the spiciest drink I’ve ever had! Phew I felt the burn all over but it tasted yummilicious and couldn’t stop sipping it LOL.
Overall the place is reasonable, although the menu options is small but the food is tasty. Another plus is that they have an Ample Hills Creamery in the back of their establishment. If you have room for dessert you don’t have to go far to get it.

I had no problem finding a place to sit at the bar. Had the eggs, bacon and biscuit this morning. Eggs were scrambled nicely, bacon was delicious, diced potatoes were just right and the biscuit was to die for. Bartender was great to this out of town tourist.
Only negative is that it a bit of a platinum cardholder kind of place, but the staff treated everyone equally.

This was a seriously pleasant surprise, had family in from the UK and hence location of eating was more important than the food.
This worked as it ticked both boxes, right at the bottom of the high line, up from the Whitney, views of the Hudson from our table at sunset… it ticked all the tourist boxes ideally.
What came as a surprise was the food, it was actually decent… ok, it’s not fine dining not intricate… but if it tastes good, that doesn’t matter?
Throw in friendly service, good bar staff and a general Friday evening buzz and yes, pleasantly surprised and pleased I was (I don’t know why I went all Yoda at the end then either.)

Went to Bubby’s last Saturday and had an amazing time. My husband and I are no longer night owls so it was great to experience a nightlife vibe during lunch! The place was busy, had great music, and good food! Awesome place to people watch in the meatpacking area. Only complaint is that the waiters were super impersonable– barely said a word the entire time.

Haven’t been to Bubby’s (Tribeca) in years. Trying this Highline location was a nice surprise. Friendly service. Terrific deviled eggs, salads and the usual bar food. Of course, the location is great.

Cute spot, kind of small but the wait wasn’t too bad for two. We had to wait about 25 mins on a Saturday so not to shabby. The brunch menu is okay, wish there was more of a variety like French toast or crepes. Nonetheless I was satisfied with what I ordered. I got a combo of eggs, 1 sausage 1 bacon and 1 pancake for $ 19. Everything tasted really good and our waiter was very nice and funny. This restaurant is also in a great location, right next to the Whitney art museum.

My mom and I stopped in for lunch on a weekday. The place was pretty crowded, but we were able to get a table immediately. The atmosphere is great — very bright and well decorated. Very nice servers. Great music.
I grabbed a Kale Cobb salad, which was large, incredibly fresh, and super tasty. The bacon in it is in rather large chunks, which were like getting a treat every few bites. My mom realized she wasn’t going to be able to get anything that wouldn’t be a large serving, so she grabbed a piece of cherry pie, which was EXCELLENT (okay, I may have had some of it…).

Estava procurando um local para comer brunch no meu último dia em NYC, e achei este restaurante pelo Unilocal.As reviews eram boas e, confiando nos meus amigos Unilocalers, resolvi experimentar.
Logo que cheguei, percebi que este era um local badalado, e tive a sensação de que fosse um local típico em que os nova iorquinos vão. Pequeno, lotado, mesas pequenas, música alta, conversas mais altas ainda…
A comida é boa. Eu provei o Bubby’s Breakfast (ovos, bacon, batatas assadas, e biscuits). Biscuits são um MUST! Prove! Mas de resto, nada muito impressionante. Ou que compense meu desgosto pelo pouco espaço e música alta.
Eu recomendo uma passada aqui pra quem quer ter a verdadeira experiência de ter um brunch em NY. Mas na próxima vez, vou procurar algum outro lugar que seja mais do meu estilo.

Love this place. It’s beautiful and the staff is great. The bar is also beautiful and delivers great mimosas. Been here several times and loves it. This location can be a little crowded because of al the Chelsea tourists… But we have always been seated within 10 minutes, even as a party of five.
They have a pickup section where they display pies… The most amazing looking pies… You should really try this place!
Tried the burger and it was really good! Other faivorites are the eggs Benedicte, English muffins and not to forget — the side of the most amazing bacon I have ever tasted!!! Always order the bacon!!!

Bubby’s is one of my new favorite spots in the city! Everything here is seriously so good. You cannot go wrong with any of their breakfast items especially: sourdough pancakes, bacon, home fries, biscuits, and the regular pancakes. The burgers are huge and so yummy as well!
Service is always attentive and friendly. This is in a great location, right next to the whitney and high line. The outside patio is a great people watching spot on a nice day. Yes the prices are a little high, but the food definitely makes up for it!

To start off the staff here were all super nice and attentive even though this place was packed. They have green drinks and beet drinks for the healthnuts, which was interesting because I have never thought of those combinations with alcohol. Drinks were good.
The appetizers mac n cheese, general tso meatballs were awesome, well flavored and the meatballs are probably some of the best i have ever had. The nachos were okay. Steak was flavored great, cooked to medium rare. The fries were mediocre and too oily. The desserts were great. My favorite one was the peanut butter pie. They are all made in Bubbys.

Brunch et desserts copieux. Tout était très bon. Mention excellent pour le dessert. Et puis notre serveuse était souriante et très attentive. Parfait !
