It’s a diner with 2 – 3 $ prices. I don’t get the appeal. At the price point they’re charging($ 20 for a salad… really?), the experience should be a _lot_nicer; the seats are a bit torn up and patched over, bathroom is in the basement next to the employee lockers and quite cave-like. The condiments on the table looked old and not upkept and if you ask for mayo, they give you packets. Just feels very tacky and cheap for the money. +1 star for great service +1 star for decent food

Popped in for a burger and some beers, great service and good food. Decided to have a chili burger with fries, for a place that is called Burger Heaven I was a bit dissatisfied, but maybe I’m too critical. This place has been in operation for 70yrs. I was just expecting a bit more. Good crowd and lots of locals.

Expensive but seriously wrong burger. The meat taste like outdated and unfresh beef. Fries are bad too. Coleslaw is good but micro tiny. Worst of all is the tap water, with the sewer aftertaste.

With a name like Burger Heaven you’d think they could do no wrong but… I went there with 2 friends and there was only one other table. I thought maybe we early for dinner rush although it was 7:30 pm. They only have 4 beers on the menu, corona, Heineken, bud and Miller which was disappointing but I guess it is a diner so it’s probably normal. The burgers are quite expensive and you pay for all extras, even a slice of tomato or piece of lettuce. I got a cheese burger and was given exactly that: a burger on a but with cheese on top. That cost over $ 11 with the tax. The bun wasn’t even toasted and we had to ask for ketchup, which should be ready to go on the table cause it’s a burger joint. We got fries to share($ 7), which were good. While we waited for our meal they started moping the floor and the whole place smelt of cheap floor cleaner. Then we realized they were about to close. By the time we finished the waiter had taken his uniform off and was ready to leave. Would have been great if they have informed us they were abut to close when we entered instead of closing up the place around us. Burger was ok but for that price it should have been awesome. Service was ok otherwise. Definitely do not recommend it because of the price. There are better places to go, even in midtown. I won’t be going back.

How my friends laugh at my decades-old obsession with Burger Heaven – the one on 62nd Street, the one on 53rd, or the one by Saks, on 49th! To my mind, there is nothing like the«tuna, whiskey down»(tuna on rye toast) that I get there, and have been ordering since I high school. It has remained consistent over time, and across the three outposts. My old reliable… On the rare occasions when I am tired of the tuna(usually after three days in a row), I go for the always-good prime beef burger(ground daily on premises), or the excellent grilled cheese. When I really want to indulge, the traditionally cut fries are just as I like them: Perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside, not too thin and not too thick. Other popular offerings are the salads, a variety of sandwiches, and omelettes. I also love the perfect black iced tea here, served, as the other beverages, in tall, cool glasses. Any time you need to pause in midtown, or run in for a quick lunch by yourself, these counters and the overhead televisions(usually set to CNBC) are waiting. The service, though maybe rushed at busy lunch hours, is always friendly and«on it». Burger Heaven has been a New York institution for over 50 years, since the days when these sorts of restaurants used to be called«coffee shops». Imagine a time when«coffee shops» meant something other than Starbucks! (The 62nd Street location has less counter space than the other two, but ample tables, as at all three outposts. This location, near Bloomingdale’s also serves a selection of alcohol, and even has a «happy hour»; the other two offer beer and wine.)

Came here one afternoon for my co-workers GTFO lunch(he was leaving the company in a few days). It was jam packed when we arrived and I can see why! Luckily, we had reservations already. When I saw the menu, I knew I had to get the Burger Heaven Burger: caramelized red onions and special house sauce, how could I resist?! Oh and they have curly fries! I haven’t had curly fries in a while, maybe 2 – 3 years. I know, I know, it’s crazy. Anyway, it took me a minute to scarf down my burger. It was delicious. All that juicy medium rare meat, those perfect onions and their delicious sauce… I just couldn’t stop myself. For the price, portions were pretty good. The burger is monstrous and they give you plenty of fries. The burgers remind me of Shake Shack but much much bigger. It’s a good comparison in my opinion. Service here was pretty good as well. The staff is very friendly and our waiter came back multiple times to refill our drinks and to see how we were doing. I will certainly be back Burger Heaven!

Honestly I’m a bit surprised by some of the reviews. But I understand because they are coming from different angles. First let me state that I love burgers. I purposely look for a good burger place in the area. Burger Heaven is a really cool Diner joint. Very creative motif for a Dinner. Very good presentation of the ascetics. Very good marketing brand on the outside. It looks and is very clean. Especially for a Dinner. But it is, a dinner. If your expecting a Burger joint, that specializes and focuses on burgers. This is not the place. I’ve been to those places and this is not that. I actually thought the name should be changed because it is deceptive, you expect a huge focus on burgers, but there isn’t any more focus on burgers then you would get at Ruby Tuesdays. Burger Heaven was more like Burger apartment! I generally think it was overpriced and surprised that it doesn’t come with the fixings. You have to pay extra for everything.(Not a burger joint) The meat its self was decent quality I must say. But the bread wasn’t. If you expecting a general Dinner meal or Dinner burger presentation and quality you will be satisfied. But if you are looking for a real burger focus and quality of taste, seasoning, options of toppings, etc., this is not the place. Not worth the price. But if your desperately hungry for a burger and must have one right away and this is the only thing near by, then go. Otherwise, they didn’t leave any desire in me to return. Sorry Burger heaven. I love to give good reviews. Win us over!

We needed some quick take out to eat before heading to a concert at MetLife. This was right around the corner and my friend wanted a burger, so we gave them a try. The gentlemen(seemed to be the manager) assisted us right away and got our orders started. While we watched them make our order right there, when we got back to our hotel the fries tasted like the had been sitting under a warmer for a while(they were no longer crispy). I had chicken tenders, and while they filled me, they were nothing special. My friend had the heaven burger and said it was good. Overall, nothing special, but maybe we didn’t order the right things.

Apparently it was National Burger Day yesterday and I inadvertently celebrated by eating at Burger Heaven. If you go in here knowing it’s a diner /burger joint then you’ll be a 4-star happy camper. If you think this is going to change your life and send you to enlightenment, then sorry. Overall: gigantic, juicy burger covered in cheese, mushrooms, and the works. Delicious curly fries. Super chocolate-y milkshake that was actually made extra thick as requested. Delivery of the food was faster than McDonald’s. Service was really nice as well.

Fun ‘American Diner’ experience. As can be expected everything is BIG! Overall the food was good and the staff friendly. Fairly cheap and LOTs of food… Would I go back, no…

40 bucks for 2 very basic, very boring burgers, fries and a 2 cokes. I mean, with all the competition in the area, you would at least expect effort. Service is meh But seriously, with all the pretty good burger places within walking distance, why ever bother with this place. Seriously, even Friday’s makes a better burger. Frankly, even McDonald’s has given me a more satisfying burger experience. Would I come back to burger«heaven»? Probably not. Would I come back here if I was drunk? Hmm maybe against my better judgement, but I would immediately regret my decision the next morning. Quite frankly, if there is NOTHING else left to eat, sure, go ahead a spend 18 bucks on a mediocre burger. Just make sure you hold on to the regret for some time. Shame on you establishment for calling yourself burger«heaven», there is nothing godly about this place. This establishment should just be called«mediocre burgers», maybe then I would have some respect for you… but since I spent my money here today, I can’t say I respect myself very much at all right now. Lesson learned.

***QUICKNOTE: I’ve been to all three Burger Heaven locations and had similar experiences so my review is the same for all three.*** If you’re looking for good quality, classic American food in New York City, you truly can’t go wrong with Burger Heaven. I’ve been eating here for years and I don’t think I would ever get sick of eating here. I usually get the grilled cheese which is very good. There’s nothing that’s really unique about the grilled cheese, but if you’re looking for just good old-fashioned grilled cheese and fries, you’ve come to the right place. Speaking of the fries, I don’t get the curly fries, I just get the regular fries and they are consistently good, as a matter of fact, all the food here is very consistent. Anyway, usually at restaurants I ask for the fries extra crispy but for here I don’t need to because they always come out good without me asking. I think the service here is fine, the food comes out relatively quick, I’ve never had a server with an attitude, so I have no complaints. Burger Heaven is always clean, including the bathrooms. I highly encourage anyone to give this place a try and with such a big menu, you’re bound to find something here that you’ll like.

We went on a Saturday afternoon. It was a quiet day so it wasn’t busy. We were seated right away at the counter. Waitress was nice and did the standard drink border first followed by the meal order. I have never been served food so fast. Two prefers we delivered to us with in 5 minutes. I ordered the Burger Heaven burger with the works. The burger was cooked to the right temperature and was good. The bun however was terrible. The bread, though not stale, was too dry and crumbled too easily. This creates a mess when eating. Fries were really good. I gave three stars because of the service. Otherwise, nothing too special. Ok to go back if nothing else is open or near by.

I work in the area & this place is usually a go to place simply because it is convenient. I have stopped by on occasion but tend to order take out more often. They offer a pretty easy menu, Burgers are ok classic with cheese & fries not a bad combo. Good curly fries, regular fries good as well. Good Turkey & Veggie burgers both decent, veggie burger pretty tasty considering its a veggie burger. Turkey burger not bad if u are looking for a little healthier option. Chicken Sandwiches Grilled is good, better with the Teriyaki sauce. Tuna Melt is good for a non chicken option. Decent Chicken Salad sandwich. Chicken fingers are better if u have it in the restaurant when delivered it seems to loose some of its taste & can be a bit over fried. The best choice here seems to be their rather large salads over priced yes, but at least it’s a big portion. Burger Heaven salad is great, so is the Caesar Salad. Next are the Grilled Chicken, Asian & Cobb Salads all pretty decent can’t go wrong. The Greek Salad good as well, they also offer an Authentic Greek salad that is great as long as u get it chopped & with Chicken. For drinks I usually just go with a Lemonade not too bad. The restaurant itself is a decent size two levels plenty of seating below & above, service at the restaurant depending on time a day can be a bit slow, same goes for delivery but overall is not bad in service. Prices are definitely over priced for the type of food they serve but being that it’s midtown you are going to come across a lot of the same not too many quick meal places in the area this is a good option for a decent bite to eat.

The service was okay but the food is a disaster. Whatever we ordered didn’t have a taste. We had, a burger, tuna melt, fries, steamed veggies, lentil soup, chili. So with the amount of food we ordered I can definitely say the food is no good here and it wasn’t just one food that was a fluke. The sweet potato fries were good :) otherwise the food had no spices, not even salt.

Your standard 2-star place. My boyfriend and I were getting hungry and decided to turn down this street and stumbled upon here. We took a look at their menu from the window and it seemed fairly decent. Pretty big variety, and sounds all delicious. We didn’t turn to Unilocal for back up and just decided to come in. It’s got a diner like vibe to it and the servers were really blah. The only one that actually had a personality and was friendly was the one behind the«bar» stool seating– and we decided to sit at a booth so we didn’t get her lol. I asked my server what her favorite thing was– I mean I love doing this the people who work there should know! She looked at my like she was clueless and said«oh well uh the burgers.» Obviously the burgers are good it’s called«Burger Heaven!!!» After that it was a huge turn off like okay no way is the rest of my visit here going to be good. My boyfriend decided to get the American cheeseburger and it did not come with fries. He had to add Fries AND lettuce, tomatoes and onions for $ 4.95!!! Rip off– burgers should come with both of them and be included in the price. It was really confusing and he just settled for whatever way our server decided to put it in as. I ordered their special burger(forgot the name) and it was okay– their special sauce was good as well as the Carmelized onions. We spent $ 43 on two mediocre burgers and drinks! The quality wasn’t that good neither was the service for what we paid.

Meh, it’s alright not really good, not really bad. In a pinch though, its serviceable. The food came out quickly and the bathrooms were clean. I’d eat here before stepping into Friday’s. There is no kids menu, but the chicken tenders are on point. Our waitress really was hands off. I had the veggie burger, the wife has the chili burger, bother were okay. The kids had a cheeseburger and chicken tenders. We split the fries from the chicken tender platter and it was enough for us. Overall an alright experience. If I could give them 2.5 stars I would.

Really. Just don’t waste your time here. For the amount they charge it’s not worth it. This is what they’re serving : Gourmet burger prices for… –burnt, dry, bland low quality hamburger meat –those simple un toasted, un buttered buns that come $ .99 per pack from any grocery chain — and worse yet the fries were over cooked, unseasoned and just pathetic. I came here for lunch today with coworkers. Although one of my coworkers paid I felt like I had been robbed too.
