Love it. I really like their coffee. But the location is now CLOSED.

The premise is great, and this place has potential. But the cost of a cup of coffee wasn’t actually cheaper than a Starbucks and the staff was really unprofessional. I don’t think either one of the two girls working there said a word to me while checking out — they were dancing and yelling and talking to each other. If staffing could be improved, I may come back. The coffee was pretty great.
Delicious vegan pastries. Different muffin flavor every day. Great if you get bored with your breakfast routine; options so far have been delightful. Employees are fun and very friendly, and since they are new, they are open to suggestions(recently had a dialogue with them about more sustainable packaging and they were wonderfully receptive). I’m going to be a regular.

I am a coffee snob, this place exceeds all others, had the best almond milk latte I’ve ever had!

Quick and very reasonably priced coffee, with all the in-demand fixings: local and non-dairy milks, iced matcha, and artisanal syrups. I was moved to Unilocal by the potent quality of the cold-brew iced coffee, a heavyweight brew worth every penny.

I like the concept of this place a lot. However, the hot coffee from the tap should be just that– HOT. It wasn’t even steaming hot, it was warm. I don’t know how the coffee is kept for those taps, but I would figure they’d be hot from the time they open until they close shop. So, instead, I wound up using the machine to make a latte and 3 pumps of vanilla simple sugar(because, who really needs 6??). I’ll be honest– I was disappointed.

I wanted to like this place; it’s across the street from my office and it’s inviting. The self-serve layout is fine and I like that they have almond milk but my iced decaff was the worst decaff I’ve had in a long time. They call it cold brew but I find that hard to believe: it has that plastic taste decaff used to have back before coffee bars.

I had your coffee for the first time. Since you’re the closest to my bus stop why not give it a try. I’m in a rush looked for a regular coffee and found it but theres only 20oz cups on the coffee area since its my first time I have no idea whats the process here no price either, but great for business you kinda forcing the customers to get the big cup. I got my coffee put milk and sugar and paid. I left the store and had your coffee I was disappointed I havent had a bad coffee in a while but today. Not sure if thats the coffee itself or your milk. It might be the milk, guess what my tummy is not felling well. Great!

Interesting concept. Everything is self serve, hot/iced coffee, espresso drinks, syrups. Place is organized. Checkout is a breeze. Must be nice when you’re in a rush. Staff is super friendly and more than happy to explain everything. Sadly I am not a fan of my latte. To be honest, «better than expected» because it came from a machine, is not the same thing as «good». The syrups also leave much to be desired. A few of them smelled like air fresheners. Interesting addition to midtown east, but I’d rather get my La Colombe from Blake and Todd or walk a block to Macchiato Espresso. Tl;Dr: Good in a hurry, but not the best coffee around.

Cool spot near my office(midtown east). The layout is cool and welcoming. The staff is great. And you can get in and out quickly(important in the morning rush). Oh, and great coffee. I’ll be back(probably every morning…). Highly recommended.

Great addition to midtown! Such a great idea and so well executed! Love the place and the coffee — only complaint is that it took them so long to open. Thank you!!!

I am willing to travel for a good cup of coffee. I will take an early train and walk from Penn to my Midtown East office, just to swing by different coffee shops. When I noticed the always-empty Pax had shut down on the corner of 52nd& Madison I wondered what would take it’s place. Another cafeteria-style lunch place? Please, no. You wouldn’t be surprised to see how excited I was to find out it was a coffee spot! Bustler(a sister shop of the well-known Pushcart coffee) opened up yesterday, but of course we didn’t notice until we were walking back to the office with cappuccinos in hand. However, I knew it would be my first stop today. The staff was friendly and helped walk me through the way it works. Walk in, locate your drink station. You have a choice of iced, slush(similar to a frap), tea, coffee, and espresso drinks. Grab your cup, fill it up, pay and walk out. I’m always wary of machine-made espresso drinks, however my first Bustler cappuccino was better than I expected. The have pastries and Hudson Valley dairy. They’ll soon have soup and empanadas, so I won’t leave empty handed if I head in for lunch. Happy to have a new place downstairs from my office!

A very unique place where it allows you to make your own coffee — start by selecting the type, decaf or not, and eventually milk type(whole, skim or soy). There is also extra milk and/or syrup on the side. Iced coffee could also be made with a separate machine. Hopefully they could bring more pastry and dessert, apart from coffee.
