Conveniently located one block from Penn Station, it is a great spot to hit before returning to Long Island after a morning in the city. I have eaten there twice and both times felt a little overwhelmed by the set up of Café Metro. Their poor signage was overcome by the helpfulness of New Yorkers. Both times I had the Athena Bowl with quinoia. Delicious! I at half and kept the rest for lunch the next day.

Stopped by on Christmas day since most places were closed. My daughter had french toast and egg and bacon and rates it 5⁄5. I had their vegan chocolate pudding and decaf coffee and it was okay.

Good was good, service was good. Quick in and out experience. It was exactly what we need to start the day.

The wifi doesn’t work. I ask an employee: is this«freshly squeezed orange juice» ACTUALLY freshly squeezed, as in, here in the kitchen or in a kitchen nearby ? Yes. (I was told at an Au Bön Pain once that«freshly squeezed orange juice» means it came from a bottle that said«freshly squeezed orange juice» that had an expiration date of months later. No, thank you. Now I ask everywhere.) I ask the cashier the same question. I also ask, as in, the juice came from oranges? And not a bottle? Yes, I am told. I am then charged $ 6.52 for an orange juice that says $ 4.09 on it. I am given an attitude when I ask for the rest of my money back. I do receive $ 2.10 back(which is less than I was supposed to receive back, not a big deal but strange.) Alas, the juice is QUITE obviously from concentrate. I was given a fruit in exchange for my dissatisfaction. How about just the truth instead?

If I could give this 0 stars I most certainly would. I work around the corner and the women in my office always grab breakfast here so I figured I would give it a shot one morning. I ordered one of the breakfast wraps(egg whites, swiss, spinach). I should have known it was going to be disgusting. The work station was a mess with random spoons and serving utensils cluttering the space and the eggs were all already cracked into a disgusting bowl; the guy making the eggs scooped them out and dripped them over the entire. station. Upon finishing the wrap it was not even an hour until I was on the toilet where I spent most of the day. I also threw up three times. NEVER again will I support this business and I will tell everyone I know not to go here.

We came here for lunch after visiting Discovery Avengers on our way back to Penn Station. The place wasn’t very crowded on a Sunday afternoon. We ordered 2 create your own pastas to split between 4 people and two of us also shared a chicken parm hero. The pasta was outstanding. I loved picking my own stuff to put in, although next time I won’t split it with my husband, who didn’t pick what I would have. The hero was good, but I wouldn’t get it next time. The price was reasonable. I would come back again. The service was good, and people were nice.

Food is excellent… the make your own salad is superb. Also, the hot food bar is AMAZING… a lot of food for a good price. Breakfast in the morning is great. It does get very busy in this location, especially around lunch time, but the cashiers move everyone through pretty quickly. They also deliver to the surrounding area. I cant complain because i’ve never had any issues.

My omelette didn’t blow me away this morning, but it was substantial and adequately made. I got one with bell peppers, spinach, and tomatoes, and it comes with potatoes and toast. For $ 6, this is a steal. But I got it to go and when I got to my desk to eat it, it was a mess because of how they put it in the bag. I also needed to add a ton of salt and pepper to give it some taste, after which I enjoyed it and was kept happily full.

Bright clean inviting space as you walk in from their Broadway street entrance, breakfast menu items were immediately to the left a lot of great healthy choices. I had an order of a egg whites, turkey bacon, grilled chicken wheat toast and blueberry Greek yogurt. I ordered a large double espresso to go along with the grapefruit juice. Reasonable prices first class take out containers and utensils. Prices and value truly outstanding. I plan to return here on my next business trip

We came to Café Metro to grab breakfast for an event — lots of bagels, muffins, and other pastries. A couple of staff behind the counter were really great. Playful, witty, and fun — this always makes a morning better! They had some great breakfast items on display(veggie egg white omelet, etc.) which I unfortunately didn’t get to try. If I went back, I’d be all over that!
