If you are in the area and want savory cooked food, this is an option. When I first tried the oxtail I was comparing it to the best oxtail of life which is my dad’s, so I sighed but I kept eating and before I knew it I ate the whole $ 12 medium serving. Everyone that worked there was very friendly.

You won’t find much luxury or even elbow room if you get one of the two seats here. But you’ll like the food. I liked the jerk chicken, which seemed like an obvious pick given the name. My second visit featured an intriguingly spiced curry chicken.

I found a flyer in my mailbox, you know how the typical advertisement flyers. Well this particular flyer caught my attention since I am a lover of Caribbean food. Canarsie Jerk Center is one of those Caribbean restaurants who delivers for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. They sell everything from codfish and Callaloo to Rasta Pasta and Roti. Well my first visit was one I am happy to have made. The staff was very nice. The girl up front who does the food preparation was new to this business so she kind of was unsure of how the typical restaurant veggie trays are put together. She was very nice though. Sweet girl. The food was perfectly laid out behind the glass for display. And was I was making my order, I noticed the cook bring out a nice, long tray of Jerk Chicken, and when I tell you it looked spectacular and the smell was(sniffs the air) DELICIOUS. The location is not so bad. It’s across from the L train on the last stop. Across the street from the old Mc.Donalds. You have to look carefully or else you will miss the spot. Give it a try. The food was good after all. My only complaints are: The $ 5 charge they impose for delivery option. And the chicken, I like mine over cooked. There’s was not undercooked, I just prefer mine cooked a little more.
