Capital One Bank

Absolutely the worst capital one bank location.
Came in early this morning to cancel my card that just been scammed, approached the only personal banker that was there who was on the phone and told me to wait a few minutes. I thought she was on a work related call but the conversation was definitely personal, so i assumed she was going to wrap it up and assist me, BUT OF COURSE NOT! she continued on at length and I just walked out.
I’ve been putting up with this location because it’s right next to my job; their ATM machines are 75% of the time not working, their internet connection is down (or so they say) so they can’t execute any banking transactions, and their customer service is beyond mediocre and have the most un-​informative tellers. After today I will be handling my banking transactions at the 37^th & 6^th ave branch.
That is not how you treat your customers. They really need to just close this location or just get a whole new better staff.

I’ve had accounts with capital one for years. I get a notice stating my accounts are now being closed. Nobody at the branch is able to give a definitive reason as to why. They won’t let me take out my own money! Unbelievable. STAY AWAY from capital one — huge bank that could care less about the individual customer
I strongly advise anyone else experiencing unexplained account closing to file complaints with the consumer affairs division of the federal reserve:

Do not get a Capital One credit card. Online banking system crashes all the time, the sign in sheet at the front of this branch is archaic, and the personal bankers do not have great personal service. I have another account with Chase across the street and the personal bankers always promptly help me and value ongoing relationships with their customers. Now that’s quality.

Great location, right outside Penn Station, and has a good ATM foyer away from all the MSG or commuter crowds if you need to just get cash.
