A little disappointed overall. When you pay significantly more than bodega flowers for what is ostensibly a special occasion, you expect better quality or unusual flowers and, most importantly for them to be «vase ready». The combination of white orchids and yellow calla lilies that were delivered the following morning was beautiful, but the orchids could have been fresher (they weren’t bad, just looked like they’d been cut more than a couple of days ago) and the lilies’ stems were so much longer that there was no way both could fit on the same vase without some significant trimming. For the price, I expect better.

Love these guys. Super reliable, great quality and friendly service. Quick delivery to UES as well. There are a lot of florists between 76th and 81st on Lex and I have found Century to be the best.
Only bummer is that they’re at least 5x the price of bodega flowers, but you mostly get what you pay for.

My family has been using Century since we moved in around the corner 18 years ago. We never go anywhere else. «The Ladies» as we call them create the most beautiful arrangements with gorgeous fresh flowers, they deliver them promptly, and they represent the best quality/​price ratio in the city. They are highly skilled arrangers so they can execute anything you need, from your verbal instructions or from a photograph/​magazine image. Oh, and they are charming, light-​hearted and always a pleasure to work with. Highly recommended from many, many years of personal experience.

I just spoke with Barbara and she was delightful. I ordered a bouquet of tulips for delivery in the neighborhood. She helped me through the choices of flowers and colors and overall it was a pleasant experience. A bit pricey, but this is Manhattan and that’s to be expected.

Found Century on Unilocal/​NY. Called from CA to order delivery of Mothers Day flowers. Person on phone was knowledgeable and patient, even at a very busy time. We talked through a decision. The flowers were delivered quickly, with a card accurate per my phone instructions. They were loved and described as being unusual. All in excellent product and service.
