I order from Certe practically every weekday morning. In addition to the excellent value, the quality of their food is impeccable — always fresh, made-to-order, delicious, and delivered while still at appropriate temperature(hot paninis and cold yogurt parfaits). Every item comes neatly packaged, I have never been missing utensils or napkins, and the delivery personnel are always polite and professional. I highly recommend Certe’s scones, bagels, yogurt parfaits, and breakfast paninis as a perfect way to start your day.

I like Certe! Brownie is delicious, and the sandwich is good too. I love their glazed sirloin, the beef is tender, and the caramelized onion really brings up the flavor.

No room to sit and relax but this small take-out kitchen offers food as good as it gets at reasonable prices. Soups are amazing! And they offer a half sandwich/soup special. Entrees are fresh and from scratch with interesting and healthy combos of veggies and sides. Highly recommended!

Certe is by far one of my favorite places to order lunch from at work. Their taco salad is AMAZING. Top it off with the shrimp al la planca, you won’t regret it. The food is delicious and fresh and a great on a Friday. I will warn you the taco salad is very filling so be prepared for a lazy afternoon. I wish I could recommend other things on their menu, but after I had the taco salad I didn’t really see the point in trying anything else.

Update: Certe read my review and contacted me regarding my issues with delivery. It was truly refreshing to see that they are proactive in providing the best customer experience. Original Post: My office orders lunch everyday and having to manage everyone’s taste bug is very difficult. I found Certe on Grubhub 2 weeks ago, and it was a hit! We’ve ordered 2 additional times since and everyone loves it. I had a sandwich the first time, and it was really soggy by the time it was delivered. The second time, I ordered the Thai salad, and the coconut rice balls were delicious. However I was hungry in 2 hours(lack of protein.) Today, I had the sirloin over the Thai salad, and it was heavenly! There was 6 Ozs of meat, 2 coconut balls and a slaw like salad. I would highly recommend this combination. The only complaint I have is delivery time. The provided delivery timeframe was between 11:55am to 12:07pm according to Grubhub. The delivery didn’t arrive until 12:32pm. My recommendation: order early

I order breakfast a lot from this place. They have great omelets and the staff provides great customer service over the phone. I have attended events where their catering is very fresh and delicious. They have great sandwiches and salads as well as sweets which would be great for lunch events!

If you’re in need of office catering, you could do much worse than Certe. The best part is probably their bread. Fluffy and fresh. Their tuna sandwich with dill is my go-to, but you can get more boring things too like ham and cheese.

I stumbled upon this place by accident. I was at the peninsula hotel and someone recommended it. The butternut squash soup is one of the best I have had in my Life. I will be back and oh are doing yourself an injustice if you don’t come. Did I mention this the food is reasonably priced. Certe is takeout only but worth it.

Best margherita pizza in nyc. I will say that my standard in judging pizza is a little different than the average person. I absolutely hate greasy pizza. The margherita pizza at Certe is never greasy. The tomato sauce tastes freshly made. I can actually see the finely diced tomatoes in the sauce so I know the sauce did not come out of a can. They also put just the right amount of cheese. I hate when pizza is overwhelmed by too much cheese. Hands down, best pizza. You need to make the trek to midtown east to taste this pizza. I will note that this is not a place to sit down and eat. It a very small place meant for grab and go. They are very fast during lunch time. No super long waits typical of the midtown lunch spot. Super friendly staff and very efficient. I think they still have the two for Tuesday deal. Two slices of pizza for $ 2.

You know what, I think I loved the dressing more than my salad as they are introducing the new bacon vinaigrette — I quickly decided to ditch my original balsamic flavor. Salad was made on a customization basis — you choose one protein, one top and then the dressing. They have many healthy choices as I was getting my organic salmon. Similar price level as other salad places(~13 dollars). They were handing out tasty free pizza as well. Place was tiny and could get really crowded around lunch hours. Would be back for pizza!

Love love love this place and would recommend it to anyone in NYC that wants a fabulous breakfast or lunch! We were here on a short 3-day visit and while it was a little difficult to find a place to sit down and eat my lovely Breakfast Fried Rice, it was still totally worth it to have to stand out on the curb and finish my food :) I will definitely return next time I’m in The City and look forward to trying other dishes! Also, a shout out to some of the nicest staff we encountered on our visit!

Great! Working with Certe before the event went smooth as they were responsive to emails and requests to meet. My wife is diabetic and has lots of preferences. On the day of the event they showed up promptly and set up expediently. One of the owners was there working so he answered last minute questions; easy to work with him. On the other end of the event, they took down everything efficiently, even as a few of us who were a bit tipsy were hanging around. The food was excellent, as several of our guests commented. In fact, several asked for cards from Aaron as a reference for another event. We would certainly turn to this company again for catering.

Hot Sandwiches: Certe cheesesteak $ 9(beef) Samirwich $ 10(chicken) Both very delicious. Extremely flavorful and will come back here just for these two sandwiches. I ordered the sandwiches to go. I’m not sure if they have a seating area because the inside of the store was rather small.

Breakfast from here is how I treat myself & try to make a work day better. The Cheesecake French Toast may have addictive ingredients in them, they’re that good.

Never heard of this place until yesterday when I walked by so decided to check out what they had. Grabbed a ‘brownwich’, which is like a brownie/whoopie pie/macaron hybrid. It was awesome. Will check out more of their stuff next time I am in the area.

I had the monte cristo. The sandwich was big. There was a lot of meat. It was good. You can really taste the French toast. It was on point. It tasted the way it should have. My fiancé had the cheesesteak. It was a nice sized sandwich. There was more cheese than meat. By the end of it, I thought I was eating grilled cheese. The meat was premium but they didn’t put a lot. The meals came with fruits and coleslaw. The service was great. People were attentive and ready to take your order. They worked hard to get your order taken care of. They had free samples which included Mac and cheese, bread with bacon dip, pizza bites, popcorn, and BROWNIES! Two things I didn’t like we’re the food was that the meals could have used more flavors and a more organized way of ordering and paying. People were scattered everywhere and the place was a shoebox.

This is a nice restaurant for breakfast and lunch. They use to have sit down seating. Now it is just take out. The food is always fresh, they are pretty quick, and if you are one who likes to «edit» your orders, this is the place for you.

I bought a groupon with this restaurant and have tried a new dish every time and every time the service and food are amazing. I have had the burger, the turkey dip, the vegetable lasagna, and the cheesesteak. The place is small and you wouldn’t notice this tiny spot had such good food. The prices are a tad higher that a college students budget, but even without the groupon I would pay the price to eat here. I wish there was seating because I would love to relax but the pack everything so perfectly that I don’t mi

Just finished their chicken pesto sandwich($ 8) and my stomach feels full and very satisfied. In midtown, there are so many sandwich options(often mediocre) and thus I was a bit skeptical about ordering from here. However, I was craving a sandwich and their pricing seemed better than others so I figured I give it a shot. The sandwich comes in a container, not wrapped in wax and foil which I was a bit taken aback by initially but realized it made the sandwich more enjoyable by not swishing all of the components together. There is an abundance of filling in the sandwich at just the right balance — the chicken, pesto, cheese, and tomato. And the pesto is very flavorful. My co-workers were commenting on how good my food smelled. It comes with a small container of cole slaw(which was light and refreshing) and pickle. I also got the fresh squeezed lemon bar and wow that was just what I needed. Sweet and lemony with a streusel-like topping. I saw that the place closed at 6pm — I had put in my order at 5:30pm and so when delivery still wasn’t here at 6:05pm, started to get a bit ordered by they arrived shortly after. Definitely recommend this place out of the many sandwich shops in midtown.

i was thrown off by the reviews but this place is pretty good. Ive ordered: –the mushroom orzo soup and beef and barley, both delicious. –The steak wrap is packed with meat, a little on the salty side due to the sauce. –chicken cutlet sandwich, yummy but bread is a little tough –cobb salad — weird causes with olives but some people like that. packed with a bunch of stuff TIP: I use the $ 10 for $ 20 deal through amazon local.

Certe is a great option for large catering order. The food is fresh, delicious, plentiful, and beautifully presented. I am a fan of its Grilled Lemon Chicken sandwich with yogurt sauce. They serve the grilled chicken salad separately in a big bowl with different choices of bread, including baguette, whoe wheat, rye, and sour dough. Another one ofmy favorites is the butternut squash soup. It’s a bit creamy, but the flavors are right on. Another thing I love about Certe is the variety of option. They have breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They serve sandwiches, steak, and pasta. They have big platters of different antipasto and finger foods, as well as full meals.

Easily one of the best catering options in Midtown. After getting Certé brought in, I’m not sure I’ll order from anywhere else. Middle Eastern Platter is the go-to:(Grilled Moroccan Chicken Kabob * Israeli Couscous * Tabouleh * Hummus * Chick Pea Salad * toasted Pita wedges * Olives * marinated Tomatoes)

As disappointed as I was not getting my hands on my twin, the Chubby Chinese Girl, I happily settled for the Grilled Chicken Pesto Sandwich. I was sold on the«melted mozzarella» like love at first sight. W 55th is where Midtown’s best-kept secrets are for lunch, so you know Cer-te HAD to be good. The sandwich was $ 8 and I also got a banana-walnut loaf, which was like eating a whole bag of sugar. The people that work here were so kind and of all the places I’ve had lunch, they have got to have the best packaging; the sandwich was placed in a plastic container and in a nice, small shopping bag – not like the other places where they shove your food in a paper bag and it falls out from the steam! I actually really liked the sandwich because it was cheesy and fresh but the chicken was a bit dry and there actually wasn’t any lettuce as pictured on their site. They overput the pesto sauce, which doesn’t really have a taste. I think it would’ve been a lot better if the sandwich was eaten cold because the steam made it almost inedible. They seem to make the most creative sandwiches here and I definitely recommend giving this place a try. If you get the Chubby Chinese Girl, remember to share half!
