The. manager is rude and then food is not worth the price. I ordered a philly cheese chicken with honey mustard and guess what?! They left out the cheese and mustard. That’s like having Jack without the Daniels!!! When I went back to ask for the cheese and mustard after only 5 minutes, the manager all but accused me of lying. He said he didn’t remember me. I will never spend another penny in this place. The manager is the most miserable, unprofessional little man that I have ever encountered. The chicken was old and tasteless and I ended up throwing it away even after arguing with him for my cheese and honey sauce. The young ladies who assisted me were very sweet, but they were clearly intimidated by him. You couldn’t pay me to go back! 0 stars and –1 for the rude manager. If you don’t like your job, there are plenty of people who can do a much better job at customer service.

Many things with this place, the first is that the food is overpriced and secondly, GROSS. Absolutely flavorless. I ordered chicken tenders with a side of Mac and a side of mash. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING tasted like it was frozen food or pre-made centuries ago. For those three items I paid $ 16. WTF? Also, the Latino man that they have working in the GCT location is so darn rude. He got really nasty with a customer which resulted with her cancelling her entire order and then he continued to be rude with everyone else! Seriously, don’t work in the food industry if you have a stick up your a**! Needless to say, I’m never going back here. First and the last time I’ll spend $ 16 on such mediocre food. The best part of my meal was the Snapple peach iced tea.

This restaurant is at the back end of the food court in grand central station and once you find it you will be so happy that you did. My husband and I both got the chicken breast which was cooked deliciously and was full of flavor. I got the tomato and feta cheese salad as my side and so glad I did. It was so fresh and delicious, I’m definitely going to have to make this a staple in my meals that I cook at home. I also got to try the rice since my husband chose that as his side. The portions are pretty big and super filling, we actually had enough to take home and have for another meal. The prices were also very reasonable so that made me happy. The cashier was friendly and we got our food pretty quickly and it seemed to be peak time so I’m not sure why they have so many bad reviews on that, I’m just happy we didn’t have to wait more than two minutes. Overall if I were to come across another chirping chicken I would definitely stop in and get some more delicious chicken.

Disgusting. I got a chicken Caesar wrap and the chicken was horrible. Very rubbery and I could barely chew it. The wrap also wasn’t prepared as discussed in the description. I also go a side of fries which were mushy. I will not be going back to this place. Waste of money.

the rotisserie chicken here is very good. so is the grilled chicken, which was surprisingly moist and clean vs burnt and dry. The order for the chicken was quick but the grilled chicken wrap took about 8 mins which is shockingly long for something rather simple to make? also, I had to tell them the order again. so if not for the wait times, this is generally a relatively decent option near grand central.

First time eating here and had their Greek salad with chicken. Did like their feta cheese so much as it had a weird texture to me. They provided a lot of chicken so it was a filling salad.

Wow this place is terrible. Good luck finding any good place in Grand Central but seriously this place is just garbage. The new manager is an asshole and the cashier is a real b. All I did was ask for some sauce with my order and it was a huge ordeal. The new manager there is clearly miserable with his life and is constantly rude every damn day. I was a frequent customer but no more. Their food was always decent but not amazing, I was just really hungry but now I’ll go somewhere else.

Not since I attended the Amy Grant-Motley Crue concert have I been so divided… Part of me liked the chicken part of Chirping Chicken… the chunks of chicken were big and flavorful on the chicken souvlaki plate I got. The other part of me was thinking«Wow, $ 12 is an awful lot for this.» And mine took a long time… eight people who ordered after me got their orders before mine came up. Life seems unfair at times. It’s a solid choice for lunch at GCT, but you’ll pay for it, that’s for sure. I guess, in the end, I’m more«Baby, Baby» than«Girls, Girls, Girls»

I love chicken so I decided to get me some Chirping Chicken for lunch. They have some great options for chicken plates with sides, sandwiches, wraps, and a few other items. I got the Grilled Chicken wrap in a wheat pita for $ 7.28. The wrap and chicken was a bit of a disappointment. Just did not seem fresh and not much taste. I don’t think I will be back, but if I do come back, I will try just the chicken.

I was disappointed. The mac & cheese was a watery, tasteless mess(well, it tasted like wet boiled pasta — no cheesy flavor or thickness to it at all), and the BBQ sauce they gave was some off-color, off-tasty offshoot of their own homebrew BBQ… not a fan. And slow. And they only accepted cash. Large mac & cheese is $ 5, but I’d save your money.

I guess people are not happy to work here. I never been to this place before and the cashier doesn’t shows any customer service. You see I am going to pull your card. Hopefully, your manager can send you back to training. Ok, enough about the lady host! Customer service sucks! Food is ok! Not a big deal! Mac & cheese is my favorite dish, so how dare you to screw that up! Come on! Mac & cheese was water down similar to ocean currents! It is cool for people on a diet, but you messed up! Ok. One star!

Great chicken. However, the service is very bad. They also do not mention about their tomatoe sauce, which is a great addition to the chicken unless you ask. For a quick lunch I would reccomend this place. The chicken is quite juicy.

I don’t frequent the lower level of Grand Central often for lunch — mainly because it ends up being a zoo, and it’s not always easy to get food that quickly — but on a cold day after Christmas, I decided to come because I was too lazy to walk outside(those underground tunnels are helpful for getting around), and in the holidays, it wasn’t too bad. I ended up going with a quarter rotisserie chicken with a side for lunch. The chicken itself is done pretty well — they do have a whole bunch of them turning around in the ovens right in front of you after all — but it’s very moist and juicy, and the skin adds a good dose of flavoring to the meat as well. Unfortunately, the mac and cheese that I chose for the side was dreadful. It has that bright yellow-orange color that suggests it’s going to be really cheesy, but it’s quite watered down and not even as flavorful as your standard Kraft mac and cheese prepared with the powdered cheese. Perhaps if the sides were better, I’d consider coming here more frequently, as the chicken(I had the breast and wing) was really good. But if I’m going to be paying at least $ 9, you want the side to be something worth spending that kind of money on. I’m kind of befuddled as to how you can make mac and cheese so bland…

I come here at times for lunch. I get the Greek Salad. There are 2 kinds of Greek salad… the typical tomatoes, cucumber, feta cheese… Then there’s the«other» kind of Greek salad… with lettuce, which my coworker gets. When you add grilled chicken to it, it’s a really good salad. A pricey salad at $ 11, but you get a lot of chicken, so it’s worth it. I took off 3 stars because it’s still overpriced, and mainly because one of the women who works there needs to slap herself. I’ve had it with the b***h. Enough eye rolling and huffing and puffing, can you please just fix my $ 11 salad? And correctly, please? She started to put my salad in small containers today, as though the items were going to be separate. When I corrected her and the manager/owner came out from the back and asked her about the filled containers sitting there, she explained to him in Spanish that I «didn’t want them anymore». Wrong! She gave me no receipt and upon walking back to work, I discover that rather than getting extra pita bread(which she repeated after me when I asked… «Extra pita bread?»), I open up my box and see a whole extra piece of chicken, instead. I am afraid to log into my bank account and find out just how much I paid for this thing.

Stopped by in Grand Central Station to get a quick snack. Got their chicken nuggets which comes with pita bread. Decent size, decent price. Surprised at how juicy it was, but it was also very oily. If it was less oily, I would’ve liked it more.

Last time I go to this place. I used to be a regular. I would order the same thing everytime. A chicken club wrap and a small greek salad. Cost me $ 10.32 everyday. Not great value for lunch but the chicken was always very moist and flavorful. I went today and they jacked up the prices to $ 12.28! Thats close to a 20% increase! BLASPHEMOUS!!! Inflation in the US is running at 3% and they jack the prices up by 6x inflation? What is that? They already barely crossed that $ 10.00 threshold that I consider my max for paying for a work lunch but at $ 12.28, not again. Nope. No way. No thank you. Plus they have a «GRADEPENDING» rating from the Board of Health. If they got an «A» grade maybe, just maybe, I could see the rational for charging that much but for a tortilla, diced chicken, bacon, lettuce and tomato, but come on guys, get a freaking clue. Have fun with your 20% price increase. I hope you are able to offset the lack of volume becuase you just lost yourself a customer, and two other guys in line with me agreed. Plus the lettuce they use is consistantly yellow in color. How about giving us the good, fresh green stuff?

Grand Central had quite an extensive range of options of places to eat, and Chirping Chicken was a fairly good, but not great choice. My mom and I each ordered a quarter chicken meal. Mine came with a side of green beans and her’s, lemon potato. Each meal came with 2 quarter slices of pita bread. Nice touch! The chicken was delicious and tender, but I can’t say the same for the sides. The green beans were too tough; I have a feeling they weren’t fresh. As for the lemon potato, they really mean lemon potato. It was way too sour. However, we decided to pair the potatoes with the honey mustard sauce, so they weren’t that bad. I’d recommend this place for the chicken, but pick some different sides from the ones we ordered.

Back in the interning day, I used to eat here all the time. Prior to an interview on Park Ave, I manned up with a lunch from Chirping Chicken. So while it may not actually taste all that great, my taste buds love this place. Upon our sightseeing tour with a stop in Grand Central Station, I knew I had to make a stop at Chirping Chicken. They do two things well: rotisserie chicken and chicken tenders. I went with the tenders this time. 9 bucks for 6 sizable slices of chicken heaven, some pita bread, and a heaping of smooth tasting mashed potatoes and gravy. Oh yeah, and some free sauces as well(for some reason, I’m a sucker for their BBQ, which really tastes like extremely mild hot sauce). Next time I’m in Grand Central, I’ll be back, baby.
