Overpriced. I came in for a gel manicure, 2 stars for their hours(open late) and for the customer service(very nice and professional). However, my gel manicure, which cost $ 50 by the way, before tip, wasn’t anything special, and completely peeled off within a week. First off, I picked my color and she did 1 nail and then said there wasn’t enough of that color and got a «similar» which it was not, I wanted a frosted, marshmallow white, the«similar» was a white out white. The gel didn’t go all the way to the edges of my nails, which bugged me, and there was a really thick, uneven ridge on my thumb, which of course is where it peeled first. I would’ve gone in as soon as it peeled to complain and get it repaired, but I was out of town on a trip, which is why I got them done in the first place. Oh, she also cut my cuticle too deep and made my finger bleed. I’ve had much better and much cheaper gel manicures elsewhere in this area.

I walked in for a bikini wax, no appointment. This place always looked crowded so I thought it should be decent. I verified before the wax that they use new wood sticks for each application of wax… no double dipping. This was NOT the case. Not only did she use the same stick but she did not wear gloves! I was appalled. Totally grossed out. The pedicure was average. Will not go back.

Manicure $ 15. Worth every penny. I was a walk in and was seated immediately and Pena got to work. She was incredibly thorough. Cleaned up my nails and shaped them beautifully, and really saved my cuticles. I could feel a few hangnails coming on and she nipped them away, and gently evened out the skin around my nails that had begun to callous or peel a little. Oh and the hand wrap! Keratin gloves filled with moisturizing lotion. I felt like a princess. She painted my nails perfectly and made sure each coat was even and filled in my ridges. I loved this place and will be coming back soon as I work right around the corner!

Review for a mani/pedi: Went with a group of 6 so we were downstairs for both manicure/pedicures. They are overpriced and the service was terrible. An extra $ 10 just to remove gel nails. No working stations downstairs to dry so we had to air dry. Technicians are pushy and just want to get the job done as quickly as they can, not overly friendly and felt both treatments were done half-assed. I definitely will not be returning.

I happened to be in the area and tried Unilocaling a local nail salon with drinks — it was a Friday afterwork and I was looking to unwind with a coworker. The receptionist at the front took care of my coworker and I right away. She led us to their selection of colors. They don’t have a huge variety but they definitely have enough of a selection. They do carry gel polish here as well. Once we selected our colors the receptionist was nice enough to ask us if we wanted to sit together. As we received our mani/pedi’s we tried out the massager on the cushioned chairs. AMAZING! The massagers on those chairs are so powerful. Definitely recommend the massager. We were hoping to have wine with our drinks but they only carried a pomegranate vodka. So we opted out of that one. Originally we chose this salon because we read they offered wine. However it wasn’t much of a deal breaker. I loved my gel manicure. Wasn’t too crazy about the pedicure. The service here was good. However, the workers hover over your shoulder waiting to see what you’ll tip — very unethical. Another thing that was unsettling for me was how the lady who did my coworkers nails told her that there was a mandated 20% tip and she HAD to tip higher. I would gladly tip anyone who provides great service but to tell a customer how much to spend is just rude. My bill came out to about $ 86 for a gel mani and regular pedicure — not including tip. Overall the salon has a classy, clean, well lit, ambiance with a nice view of the streets of NYC. My only gripe with this place would be my experience at the end. Not sure if I would go out of my way to return here, but the place and service isn’t bad.

The spa is pretty clean and the technicians are quick! Prices are decent, but not cheap. I had their express pedi which was no frills, just polish change and quick clean up. I enjoyed the manicure which came with a keratin hand mask. it left my hands really soft and supple! The only thing I had an issue with was how they polished… my technician didn’t remove all the lotion from my nails and the polish wasn’t grabbing correctly. It shrunk away from the sides of my nails, which made the job just look like I haphazardly did it myself. Another issue was the topcoat… just because it’s clear doesn’t mean you don’t cover the whole nail with it! I CANSEEIT!

After a recommendation from a friend of a friend, I made an appointment for a blowout with Paul. As they said — he is the hair God. Highly suggested and he completely lived up! I have thick hair and he finished in 20 mins with a gorgeous blow out. Easy, quick and costly — really what else do you want?

Run for your life if u see it. I went for my hair dry appointment on time, they said I needed to wait. I did. I asked if they could just refresh my nail polish in the meantime. They asked for $ 25. Adding this to a $ 45 approx. for an average hairdo. I paid $ 75 plus tips. Seems that the team forgotten to serve with a smile for centuries I guess.

One of the pricier salons, yes. But there’s a reason. I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes, and the service is consistently great. This place is also spotless, quiet and they are open late. I have gotten very well-done manis and pedis here for over a year now. Though some places are less expensive, it is worth the money to have a friendly, efficient and talented staff.

Don’t know why it has $$$- a regular mani is $ 15(standard NYC pricing) express mani $ 10 and similar structure for pedicures. Maria did a great job with my nails, very sanitary and took her time even though the salon was a little busy. Very clean and nicely decorated. Fast service no appointment needed. Will be back

Im a fan of attentive costumer service, polite interactions and a smile make all the difference. This place is a Russian roulette so enter at your own risk… My recommendation is you find another place. My fault was judging a book by its cover: I saw this place and it looks like a the nail equivalent of a fast-food place. I assumed the price would be okay. So I walk in and ask if they have time, Im informed by a young guy that it will be a 15 minute wait but yes. Im choosing colors when the technician asks me to follow her to a pedicure chair. The tank was filling with water, she points at it and leaves. I sat there but did not get my feet in because I wasn’t sure. The tank started overflowing so another technician turned it off when she saw it. There was a darling girl next to me with a puppy so I was entertained and not moody about the wait at all. When the technician comes back to me she tells me it will be another ten dollars to remove gel polish, plus another ten for my hands. Finally we agree to not change the color of my toe nails, just my hands(only five fingers had polish so she agreed to charge me 5). Great. Pedicure: Oh my Bees. This girl looked like she would rather be chopping onions and drinking booze while smashing peas. Anything but this. I felt insulted because my feet were not bad, she didn’t even have to change the polish. So she did as minimal as possible all while engaging in conversation with the other technician(as usually happens so whatever). Im thinking her pedicure sucks but Im looking forward to getting my nails decent. I had a wonderful day that day so I was being so optimistic! Manicure: Im pointed to sit for the manicure. She starts doing my nails with the face of a miserable person who hates what she does. I felt so awkward. She grooms my nails a tad and then we proceed to the common interaction of fee payment. Payment: She asks if I am in their member unlimited plan, nope. I hand her my credit card, then sign the check and hand it back with no tip added. She says she didn’t charge me the 5 for the hands and asks for a tip. I say I have cash. She stays there looking at me to hand it over to her. … so my thinking is as follows… I hated the pedicure. Had I wanted to simply wash my feet and lightly scrub them with a loofa I could do that at home, I would have even smiled. I think I can give her a minimal tip and if the nails are good then I can add to it, if I am happy with the service(generally how tips work, right). I hand her 4 dollars. She looks at me and laughs and shows it to the girl next to her. she tells me «20%». I ask her if it is demanded i give her 20%!? she says«yes». oh my bees!!! I hand her a ten dollar bill(out of feeling sorry for her obvious hatred for her current job and also to just get it over and done with so I could get out) and sit awkwardly as she paints my nails, which chip an hour after and are bleeding-color into my cuticle bed. Im kicking myself as I could have paid this amount happily for a more relaxing service elsewhere not to mention a better result. you live and you learn. place was small-crowded-loud-bored to death faces, but they did have stale candy up front :|

So glad I found this place. They’re open till 11p! Huge PLUS. I came in a little late(10p), so I felt a little rushed. I had someone doing my manicure and another woman pedicure at the same time. Which was a little bothersome, having to keep moving my hands to and away from her as she alternated doing them. I was happy with the finish product of my pedicure. My manicure could’ve looked better. There was some polish on my skin by my cuticles, the manicurist didn’t clean up after too well, but the polish was thin with no air bubbles, so it looked okay. My boyfriend had his manicure done as well. He was very pleased with his manicurist. She did an amazing job with cleaning his cuticles. His previous experiences haven’t been so well, so I’m very happy he liked this place. I wish he would’ve gotten the name of his manicurist, but he didn’t, I do hope we find here again on our next visit! A suggestion to the staff, if the do read this. It is uncomfortable and invasive to hover over clients as they are trying to pay. We put my manicurist’s Tip on the card, and we were going to tip the other ladies in cash. One of the manicurists, was hovering over us the entire time, and pointed at the tip on the receipt signaling that we had forgotten to add the tip on one of the receipts. I was very annoyed with this behavior so I shaved a few dollars off her tip.

This place is a rip off. Their manicures are mediocre at best. They dilute all of their polishes so it chips within a day or two. The staff is incredibly rude. And their prices are ridiculous. Definitely not a get what you pay for salon. Don’t bother with them. However Paul does give a helluva blowout. Highly recommended.

Love everything about this place! The whole staff is so friendly and accommodating to all of their customers needs. Paul is a hair god. Love Patrick who runs the front desk — he’s hilarious and very hardworking. Peter does the most amazing massages — don’t skip one. And the owner is the sweetest! Wouldn’t go anywhere else!!!

Paul did a great job cutting my son’s hair. He was great with a 2 ½ year old and not a single tear! My mani and pedi were great too!

I love this place. They always take you quickly without an appointment. I usually never have to wait. The mani/pedis are great quality. I love the paraffin mask they do for the manicure. They are very thorough with both services and if you ask them to pay attention to something specific, they will.

This review is for my hair not the nail spa part. I use Goldwell dye and it’s very hard to find in this city apparently. It’s a German brand that I have used for over 6 years and love it. It’s expensive so a lot of salons don’t use it. Every time we move cities(every 3 years) this is my worst fear. Who is going to do my hair? I know it sounds weird to some but my hair means a lot and I just won’t let anyone touch it. Cutting it is a whole other story I actually fly back to see my friend in canada, people would think in a bit crazy to fly to canada every 3 weeks for roots lol so I found Paul here and love him! I walked by Cleo spa and seen a man doing a root touch up on a blonde. I asked him if he used Goldwell? He did and went to see if he had 11G(my colour) he did! He gave me he’s number and told me to txt him when I needed an appointment. 3 weeks later I txted him. He answered me right away. So to do my roots and blow dry 100 $ such a steal in this city! And for the record my hair is long, blonde and thick. My hair goes all the way to my hips. It takes about 40min to blow dry Paul did an amazing job. I have seen a review about him before when he worked for another company. He was awesome to talk to. I think he could tell I was a but nervous as I was quizzing him about how long he was going to leave it in etc. He laughed and we chatted. I was surprised when he told be he has been a hairdresser for 17years! He looks like he is in his 20s after that I felt a lot more relaxed. He will be my new hairdresser for the length of our stay in New York. I’m so happy I found him. Such a great job. If you want good service and good products you must go and see Paul!

This is a nice place with friendly staff. Personally, they $ 10 «quick manis»(basically just polish and a cut) and late hours are what made me a fan. I would have given them 4 stars except one time I came in about 45 minutes before their official close time and was told they had just taken their last customer. I had to come back the next night :(

I feel terrible for giving them another chance! I have been here a few times out of convenience since it’s down the street but I have never been pleased! Firstly they are over price, a shellac mani and a reg pedicure for $ 86 is a lot!!! Secondly, They are always in a rush. Today was over the top… My pedicure hadn’t even finished and another lady started cleaned the tub from under my legs! Thirdly, To top it all off my manicurist got offended with a 10% tip and told me off saying that they appreciate a 20% tip. I thought that was my decision depending on how happy I was with the service! I always seem to forget why I never wanna come back here but hopefully writing this will help.
