The pizza was delivered in good shape and prepared the way I requested

Steve’s a helluva nice guy and took care of us at his place. Great slices, and the Sicilian is excellent. Take note, really tasty garlic knots too and 4 for a buck. Great stop for a quick fame dinner. Thanks Steve from the family from Nevada. Cheers brotha!

Ordered online– delivery was fast and the delivery kid was super friendly. Lot of times they’ll just call before arriving to avoid walking into the building. In the heavy rain he came all the way in and to our door.
For the price the pizza was perfectly serviceable. Ingredients were fine, can’t really mess up a pepperoni pizza. Chicken parm hero was tasty.

This is the most friendly and customer service oriented pizza shop in the neighborhood. They’re the best and their food is great as well. Steve is a Rockstar!

I have to admit, when you grow up with $ 1 pizza being the standard, paying $ 2 for a pizza is tough to swallow. This is probably the only place I willingly go to pay more than $ 1 for their pizza. It’s delicious and their grandma’s square is a must. Their sauce is seasoned and the dough perfectly chewy with a nice crisp bite to it. Steve (owner) goes out of his way to introduce himself and he runs a great neighborhood place that I end up going to a few times a week to get my NY pizza fix. I can’t say enough good things about this place and Steve for adding a bit of neighborhood into the quickly gentrifying culinary scene. No New York neighborhood would be complete without their pizza joint and I’m glad I have mine with Clinton Square.

Terrible!!! one star for fast delivery. I ordered the buffalo chicken roll and it was burned and tasteless. I also ordered the chicken with baked ziti. It was OK. Nothing to brag. The chicken was dice sizes. Really?!? I posted the pic of the burned chicken roll. Will not order from them again. Thumbs down

I’ve made some pretty bad choices in my life but when I walk down Clinton street with a slice from this joint I feel like it’s all going to be okay. Something about the high quality of the pizza and the way Steve runs the place can take the worst day and totally turn it around. I don’t want to oversell it — it may be the best pizza on the LES but it’s just pizza — but here’s the thing: I had a slice there two days ago and I’m *still* thinking life’s not half bad.

Just got into New York for the first time worth a hotel in Chinatown. Really wanted some pizza and found this nearby place on Unilocal.It’s a small place with no AC, but the guy who greeted us (Steven I think) was a character and was pretty awesome. We chose the slices of pizza we wanted and he popped them on the oven. Ended up being pretty good. Tried another pizza place before we left and regretted not coming back here.

So I phone in an order and get treated like the sexiest woman alive, just for a simple pizza. And knowing the guys that work here, its pretty much an honor to be treated like a princess. But that’s just ME. I like to get a simple pizza while being treated like royalty. AND ITS GREAT TOO. So yeah :)

Good and friendly service. On a hot day, Franky smiled and greeted everyone. Forgive me if the isn’t his name. Good pizza and good service.

By far the best pizza on the LES. Between their famous grandma slice and their excellent customer service, you will not regret stopping by and grabbing a bite to eat. Every time I stop in for a slice, the staff never fails to make me feel welcome. Steve, the owner, is one of the nicest and most caring people I know. He always remembers me every time I I stop by for a slice. Not only does he remember me, but no matter how busy the pizzeria may be at the time that I am there, he ALWAYS finds time to strike up a friendly conversation and lets me know that he appreciates my business. On top of the friendly atmosphere, you can’t beat the prices. Overall, I recommend this pizzeria 100%.

Sweet spot! We were on the way to a tour and grabbed a quick slice of pepperoni along with their garlic knots. If you’re in the area stop by because it’s real good. Real nice people working there.

Great pizza place on the LES. Food was great and the service is awesome. The staff is so friendly, I had the pleasure of speaking to Steven. It’s a small place but don’t let that deter you from trying it out. Pizza is good, prices are awesome, cheaper than Brooklyn and service was awesome. What else can you ask for?
If you’re in the area, try it out, there isn’t much else to eat nearby.

This place is THE BOMB. Let me repeat myself to express my true feelings. THIS PLACE IS THE BOMB. The young man that works on the counter is so cool, friendly, and amiable. His charisma alone makes me want to buy his slices. The overall atmosphere is worth a dive. I love their different assortment of foods, but most of all it’s the service. Folks down there are super chill!

There are only a select few pizza places in the city with customer service as amazing as Square Pizza. The employees care about their customers and try to strike up conversations, even in the few minutes it takes to buy a pizza.
As for the pizza, it is my go-​to pizza spot in the neighborhood. There are many different toppings as well.
Make sure you don’t go to late. There may only be cheese slices at 8:30 PM.

My job brings me to the area at least once a month. I am so lucky that I found this place for my lunch time pizza fix. The staff might be the friendliest in the LES. For the area, the value cannot be beat. Please try the Sicilian; the best in Manhattan.

This is my go-​to place on the LES! Not only do I find the pizza to be the best in the neighborhood, but the customer service and pleasant guys (esp Stephen) can’t be beat!

ah, pizza. just thinking about the word makes me smile. so you better believe i was pumped when this spot opened in my hood. dig the employees and the prices. the pizza is perfect. it’s classic new york pizza. how can ya go wrong with that? they deliver and if you wanna get a lil wild (you know you do), try out their white ‘za.

Pizza was good. Customer service was A+.

I thought for my 200^th review that I would review something special, I couldn’t really think of anything, so I settled for something mediocre. Don’t get me wrong, this place is fine, there’s just nothing that stands out.
There’s a sign outside that boasts «$ 2 regular Slice!!» like that’s some sort of an incredible deal. Being that this place is called Square Pizza, I thought that maybe the sign referred to one of their regular square slices; nope. $ 2 for an ordinary, plain, triangular cheese slice. Womp!
I asked for it crispy, as I always do, and it came out piping hot. A little oregano, chili flakes, and a dash of parmesan and I was ready to ingest. The slice was of good size, perhaps even a little above average, and it had ample cheese, but like I stated before, there was nothing that stood out; nothing special.
It’s $ 3 for pepperoni, and Im not sure about the other slices– I would a$$ume that the price goes up for every topping you add. There were also numerous Sicilian (square) slices available with different topping combos. They also have a pretty full Italian menu with calzones, pastas, and even hot heroes. There were probably 5 tables for sitting inside. Sadly, the best part about this place, in my opinion, were the Mafia themed movie posters that adorned the walls.
With so much competition in the LES, I doubt I’ll be back.
