Yep, the negative reviews are all on point. This place is pure womp. Came with two other lovely ladies on Friday, ready to dance. One of the girl’s friends had recommended Promenade, so we gave it a shot. But even making the best of it, we left after about an hour. Why, you ask? Well… 1) The space was tiny for a so-called club. 2) The crowd was relatively non-existent when we got there around midnight, and had only increased by about 30 when we left(not counting an influx of about 20 uniformed police officers who came in shining flashlights around at one point :/). 3) The female bartenders were either stank or useless. 4) The«VIP» waitresses were wearing control top corsets as shirts — I shit you not. 5) The drinks were overpriced and weak. 6) The music was aiiight, but nobody was really dancing. 7) We got in free [thank GOD], but the cover was apparently $ 20 for girls later on in the night. Um, for what? But I think my favorite shortcoming of Promenade was its comically pointless VIP section — essentially a velvet rope bisecting the middle of the room, filled with large men looking hungrily out at the few cute girls present. One guy even kept trying to dance with us from behind the rope… AWKWARD. We ended up heading around the corner to Tillman’s, where our expensive drinks were at least [very] strong, and the music had people on their feet. And my friend said she’ll be talking to her friend about recommending Promenade :)

SOOO bad. Like, so so so bad. So bad, I need a new word for bad. Came here for a Young Money party — was on the press list. Was ushered in and out and in and out, having to go through security each time and was felt up beyond belief by security. FInally Drake and Tyga are up in VIP so I go to get escorted back. This huge bouncer denied me entrance even after Young Money’s publicist tells him to let me through and I show my press ID. I moved up one step and the bouncer grabbed my arm, cursed me out and threw me down the stairs. Sorry, I’m not some groupie just trying to get up in VIP. If this is how you treat professionals, I don’t even want to know what it would have been like as a regular patron here. The owners of Promenade should be ashamed of themselves.

My friend paid $ 220 for a bottle of Nuvo just so we could bypass the line to get inside and have VIP seating. The line was insanely long outside and I don’t know why because this club sucked. It was so SMALL inside. It reminded me of a hallway. The DJ kept playing the same songs over and over again, and he kept shouting out for girls to come up and drink with him. Gross. My friend thought she misplaced her ticket for the coat check and the people working there were extremely rude about trying to help us resolve the issue. Seriously, unless you’re looking for a hoodrat fest, don’t come to this club.

I owe my husband 3BJS after dragging him to this club. Not 1 or 2, but 3. After waiting online at the club down the block(Shadow), feeling extremely uncomfortable, we realized we were waiting on the wrong line. So we went over to Club Promenade, waited online for another half an hour. only to go into the club to realize it was empty. No one was there. The reason we went was because a friend of mine was having her birthday there, and it was free for EVERYONE(or so she was told.) till 1 am. If you check the website, it states this too. After I got sexually groped by the lesbian security guard,(and having my pack of gum thrown out like I’m in middle school… we walked into the main floor, and no one was there. No.One. Then we were told to go back into the front, becuase the guys had to pay $ 15 to get in. They got a free drink ticket(wow). My husband was wearing a zip up sweater, and he HAD to check it for another $ 3.00. Great. He got his«free» drink at the bar, and I got one too, drinks are $ 13.00, he tried to use his card, only to be told that there was a $ 50.00 minimum to use your credit card. Score again! He went downtsairs to the ATM, another $ 5.00 fee to use it… woohoo! We moved the party downstairs, where it felt like I was in someones basement in Queens… okay, maybe a little nicer. It started to get a lttle more crowded. Music was good(if you like rap/hip hop-I do). I got contact high from all the weed. yay. Going back upstairs(cuz thats where most of our party went) we realized there was a third floor, which wasnt open yet. it was 12 am. We went back downstairs to the basement… which smelled of… pure ass? I really dont know how to describe the smell. We went back upstairs, cuz it was WAY too crowded and hot, and realized the third floor was now open, so we checked it out. NO one up there, so much spacier and nicer. When we left, we saw a HUGE line of people waiting outside. Such a shame becuase no one was on the third floor. All in all? I will NEVER set foot in this club again. Should’ve just went to Shadow.

This place only gets the one star because I HAVE to give it. I’d give them negative stars if I could. My complaints would echo those below me so I’ll spare you all the details. I think the lesson learned here is that those posting before me were not just there on an off-night; this«club» just plain sucks. Everything from the atmosphere itself to the bouncers and the staff. even the drinks– I don’t think I have ever seen less organization in ANY establishment. I won’t be back and feel really bad for my friend who organized her birthday here. She was promised a lot of things but this club just does not deliver. boo.hiss.

Hey went here because my friends wanted to try something new. stood in line for a long time… I realize there are doing this because the place was not packed yet… i guess if your walking by «you’ll be like this place must be great«anyway I even heard the promoter say ITSEMPTYINTHERE. Me and my friends were not on any guest list. We just said we Were and The lady charged me 20.00 and the lady with me 20.00 bucks later on to find out it was Free for women. My friend went back to the lady with the clipboard demanding her money to my amazement the said ‘I ain’t trying to steal ya money give it back to her» … Finally were inside décor nice some paintings .alot of women all seated on the benches all the way in the back was a sort of VIP the DJ on the main floor hip hop. then reggae Drink .ahh drinks ordered to jack and cokes .so they got there 20 back. because that came up to 26 bucks but it was tall and strong… went downstairs. which felt like a basement there was a DJ spinning also more old school hip hop. never took the trip upstairs in all i may visit again if the crowd wants to go… an I’m wasted LOL

My friend was having a birthday party at this spot. I have to admit I am not much of a clubber anymore, but I was up for it. Supposedly ladies were free before midnight. I arrived out front in a cab at about 11:40pm figuring 20 mins was more than enough time to get in there. UMMMNO. The line was soooo long, and moved at the pace of lava. It seemed they were intentionally letting ppl in slowly to hold as many ppl back until after midnight. It was absolutely freezing and they just had us waiting out there as if it were a soup kitchen. Why the hell should I have to wait on line for such a long time to spend my money at your establishment. Anyway, I finally reach the front, and I am asked to show my ID, open my purse and spread ‘em. After being violated, I offer my $ 12 to the cashier for entry. It was SUPPOSED to be $ 12 after midnight if you were on a guest list, which I was. NOPE. $ 20 to get in. Then a $ 4 mandatory coat check. Whatever, I’m in right? Now I was told to ask the girls that worked there to direct me to the section where the birthday party was. No one could tell me. NOONE! i had to search three CROWDED floors to find them. I needed a damn drink! I REALLY needed a drink when I found out how much the drink was… $ 15!!! WTF. I get exposed to the elements for forty minutes, I get frisked, robbed, stripped… and finally raped at the bar. After about an hour, the staff tried to push us out of our corner, and I emphasize corner, because we weren’t ordering a steady flow of BOTTLES. $ 250 bottles! Add some obnoxious guys to the mix and this place was a complete nightmare. I was thrilled to see my friends… but this place is a never-again-er!!!
