They have one of the most delicious coffee brand ever. It’s so tasty, always fresh. Food is great too, bagel with salmon or vegetarian one are awesome, kish as well. Music is cool, u can sit down work on you computer, it has lots of sunlight, they play records, it’s kind of hippy, I go there often, it’s a very nice place in Newkirk plaza

A good coffee shop isn’t hard to find. An amazing coffee shop is harder to find. I was doing business in the area, and looked up to find this cute little corner spot. I wanted a coffee in addition to a tea of some sort. I walked in, they have these really cute wooden couches with cushions for people to sit and chill/work on. I ordered a coffee — They brew their own! AMAZING And ordered some sort of lavender iced tea! HOLYCRAP — It was so so good. I don’t know what they put in that but it was refreshing, tasty and super delicious. Now every time I come to the neighborhood I stop by and get a coffee at coffee mob.

In addition to roasting their own delicious coffee, in addition to playing amazing music, always vinyl, in addition to being right on my way to the subway… This morning I forgot my wallet and, INADDITION to giving me a coffee and croissant on credit, Buck the owner lent me his Metro card so that I wouldn’t have to walk back home. I am opening a Unilocal account just to review this place because they are AMAZING!!! I should also say that they are incredibly sweet and accommodating when I come in with my young children. This place is all good vibes. The kind of coffee shop that every neighborhood wishes they had.

— Flat white — Pacific Barista series soy milk — daily delivery of gluten-free/vegan baked goods from Clementine — roast their own beans — weekly runs of other small roasters(Uptown, Four Barrel, etc.) — open in a blizzard — great music — great attitude I’m so glad this is here.

I’ve thrown out a few drinks from here. The vibe is cool but the coffee sucks. Check out coffee Z. Also contrary to the hours listed here this place is NOT open at 7AM. I’ve seen them just opening at 8:30 or later as I walk by. You’re a coffee shop guys! What the hell?

I have a severe dairy allergy and they take it seriously here, double washing all pitchers and giving the expresso machine an extra wipe. In addition, they offer vegan baked goods from Clementine Bakery so I can enjoy a little Friday treat with my coffee like everyone else. Not only do I trust this coffee shop but all the baristas are super friendly and nothing starts your morning better than a deliciously brewed cup of coffee and a smile.

This is an awesome café super nice people but it’s definitely not one $. :-) Hence my reason for not giving four stars. ICE ice cost $.75 and soy cost another $.75. Which I think is a little high. ICE?!

Pretty cool place although they had no AC during the summer! I used to just walk by because if was too hot in there. I’m the type of person who likes to drink hot coffee all year long but only in a air conditioned environment lol Besides that, I’ve been here about 3 or 4 times in the past year and the service is always on point! More importantly the latte is creamy, warm, and bold. It was Delicious!!! I also had their croissants and quiche too, both were good. The food selection is small but that’s what I come to expect from coffee shops.

Stopped by in a rush to get my caffeine fix while trying to catch the train, since I really didn’t want to settle for Dunkin Donuts. Place is simple and nice. Ordered the cold brew, it was not bad, just not strong like I expected. Would probably try them again.

Solid place. Just got a cold brew and a bagel, both were good. No air conditioning so might not be the best place to work on a hot day. Wide selection of espresso-based drinks, pour over, and standard drip. Took my credit card for a $ 6 purchase.

Not really feeling this place been here a few times could be a lot better but over priced on mostly everything they sell came here earlier today was feeling thirsty so decided to get a nice cup of iced cold lemonade since they were selling it for $ 1.75 but was kinda upset after I got it because it was very tart and sour so I threw it out there competing with the other new coffee shop in Newkirk plaza called coffee z which is brand new and there coffee taste way better and they also sell lemonade for $ 1.00 never tried it yet but heard it’s very good all I gotta say is that i won’t be coming back here ever again and if I do it’s because I’m giving them another chance

Great service, coffee is good, great brand of chai, decent prices. I like how they use eco-friendly cups. I really wasn’t sure why it cost .75¢ to add ice to a drink though.

Full disclosure, I don’t drink coffee and I’ve never had the coffee here. I live nearby and come here for the chai, hot chocolate and occasionally tea. I appreciate that they have been open even during the worst snow. Service always seems friendly without being overly chatty. I’m really glad they updated so you can pay with a credit/debit card now. I hope that this is a sign they are doing well and here to stay. I like the turntable, though it is a bit of a hipster touch. I used to order the chai all the time because it was from a homemade concentrate and not too sweet. It had a depth of flavor and spice that made it stand apart from the cloyingly sweet chais at other coffee shops. I think they recently switched to using a supplier now, which makes me kind of sad. It’s still better than other pre-made chais I’ve tried, but it tastes too strongly of cinnamon. It’s nice that they don’t run out anymore, but I really wish that the coffee shop owner would find a way to scale up the production of his own concoction because that’s what had me coming back for more:(. Can you bring it back?

Coffee Mob? More like Coffee SNOB! Rude service, cultural ignorance, and stupidity sits behind the counter of Coffee Snob. One day I’m walking down Newkirk Avenue towards the Q train when I see something completely out of place. There stood a glass enclosure for nature’s most apathetic species of human – the barista. A new coffee shop with windows for walls and the most pretentious interior design choices ever – a red wall, a giant chalkboard, and tacky giant metal star lights. Is this a college dorm room? Like your average white idiot in a hurry, I went inside and ordered an espresso. The girl behind the counter filled my order, but as I was turning away, she said«Isn’t that a waste of a cup?» I was shocked that the zombie spoke to me, and confused about her accusation. «What?» I asked. «I just think it’s a waste of a cup. It’s just espresso,» she ignorantly opined. Not even the«coffee snob» herself understands that the point of espresso is to TAKEYOURTIME… ENJOYING the espresso, not down it like a shot of vodka at an underground hipster-breeding club. I shrugged and left. Why is this new yuppy beacon resting on such sacred ground? This is the land of affordable food! Also, does anyone else notice how FAKE the five-star reviews are? People describing the coffee as having«flavors of dates.» Who even knows what dates taste like? Or «a tall compostable cup of nutty, flavorful, gently complex and endlessly satisfying.» Oh boy. Sounds like the result of a bribe or a dormant sex life. I get it, you’re «different,» and your coffee will«appeal to the socially conscious» of the neighborhood… but there is nothing culturally aware of your yuppy magnet. Coffee mob is destroying Brooklyn’s hardworking middle-class mom and pop shops, and anyone who shops here reeks of trust-fund-baby poo.

If you didn’t know that the area was being gentrified all you have to do is walk by this place and it’s crystal clear, it sticks out like a sore hipster thumb. Going in here I made sure to keep my obnoxious sunglasses on, I didn’t want to show my face. The guy behind the counter is the exact carbon copy of the type of hipster that you’d expect to find in this place, but I digress, the coffee was exactly as I thought it would be, mediocre and bland, it’s no different from what you’d get in the Dunkin Donuts around the corner. But this is what I’m going to expect for the next year until I finally move out of Brooklyn, overpriced gentrifying mediocrity.

Gem of a spot in the neighborhood. This is like the only place open after«blizzards.» Came here the first time while the owner purchased some art. The baristas are friendly but not intrusive. I’ve come here a couple times and reggae always seems to be playing. Must be the it thing at this place right now. I do wish the space was bigger so there were more and better places to sit. The benches on the side are a bit small for my big ol bottom and there are a few stools. Hope they become successful enough to expandddddd.

I was super surprised to find such a place in this part of Brooklyn. It’s a quaint, quiet place. The barista who took care of me was really sweet. Unfortunately, my dirty chai had a weird taste. Not bad, but definitely weird. I’ll probably just stick to coffee next time! Thumbs up to this place for non-dairy milk options: D

Omg Coffee Mob is gem in this deep Brooklyn hood. All the mechanics are here for an awesome coffee experience. Toby’s Estates Coffee is pulled to perfection, my capp is the right temp and delish. This shop cares about coffee and treats each person to the best coffee found in this hood. It is worth the trip out here. The chief cares so much about coffee. Having just returned from Columbia, visiting coffee producers at Origin. Thus is what we like to hear. Awesomeness.

After a couple hours worth of walking around Brooklyn, my friends and I wandered into Coffee Mob after seeing a sign for fresh squeezed lemonade(ironic, no?). We walked in and were quite surprised by what we saw. This looks like some place out of Park Slope or parts of the West Village. Wood furniture, small tables, a turn table playing music and a nice blackboard with the menu written on a wall. It feels friendly and modern without being pretentious in any way. The gent who took care of us was super friendly and even let us sample something if we were unsure of whether we’d like it or not. My girlfriend ordered the Cascada Tea and I ordered a Dirty Chai — both on ice. The Cascada was really interesting. It’s made from coffee beans but tastes more like an herbal tea, but with flavors of dates. The dirty chai was really interesting. Unlike the one from say, Starbucks, its flavor focused more on the anise spice, and it was wonderfully savory. The coffee gave it an extra dimension that was really nice. I had a really nice time hanging out at Coffee Mob and would go back any time I’m in the area. As a final note, Coffee Mob is Cash Only, so bring at least $ 5 – 10 with you when you visit.
