Best thing about it is that it’s convenient if you live in Stuyvesant town. What’s always bothered me about Coopertown is that they don’t make their own home fries. They use tasteless, obviously frozen shredded potatoes. And good breakfast joint worth its salt in NYC makes their own home fries on the grill with onions and peppers. So, I go here when I’m lazy, and never for breakfast.

Warning place is horrible and filthy, I saw a mouse run past not to mention the rude staff. Please do yourself a favor and avoid as I got food poisoning and will never waste my money or health eating there.

The food is usually good but their order preparation for delivery is horrible. The prices are a bit high for diner food. Every time I place an order, I’m missing something whether it be an entire item off of my order or I’m missing things that were supposed to be included in my order. For example, today I ordered the Coopertown pancake deluxe which was missing the scrambled eggs and the silver dollar pancakes which were missing the sausages. The order arrived a little late which is ridiculous because they’re across the street from me. When I called up to complain about the missing items, the phone rang until there was an automated message from time warner. I ended up calling seamless who called another number for the diner and they assured me that the missing items would arrive in a few minutes. About 90 minutes passed and nothing. I called seamless again to complain about the issue and they agreed to resend the sausage but now are adamant that they included the scrambled eggs and would not resend the eggs.

This restaurant is really terrible I made a delivery by Unilocal, but they just said they are not Chinese restaurant and they didn’t want to deliver food. They are really rude. My worst restaurant in nyc ever.

Rodents, hair,…what bad reviews for an innocent nice neighborhood spot serving short order delicacies to the delinquents of the neighborhood at all hours of the night. My friends sweared by the steak and eggs and egg salad sandwich. Looked really nice. I ordered the chocolate chip pancakes and in lieu of hair I got greatness. Very good dish. This is a diner folks they make a lot of foods pretty well, appreciate it for what it brings to your table!

My husband and I love coming here on the weekends for a quick healthy brunch. Portions are generous and the food is always fresh. Omelettes are always delicious and not too oily with the«crispy» hash browns on the side. The staff is always friendly and provide fast excellent service. No complaints about this great neighborhood diner !

RATALERT. The most disgusting food establishment in Manhattan. Saw rats coming out of the kitchen and straight out the door. Previously ordered takeout and had a long hair all over the food. Owner doesn’t apologize or even refund. One of those relics that needs to go. Do not attempt to eat here!

Nothing too fancy PRO: Food is delicious and the wait wasn’t long. CON: Too expensive for the poor service. My group and I had to call our waiter few times. He didn’t come back to check on us once. The silverware was filthy their ginger ale sucks. I’d recommend this place, if it’s late night, you’d eat right away.

If you are looking for a «cant finish it» burger — look no further. I ordered for the first time today and man was it huge! Everything arrived from grubhub in 20 minutes, hot to the touch. A word of warning though — if you are a chocolate milk shake fan — order the vanilla with chocolate as the regular one is sooo rich! A great find!

This places menu is huge. It’s the epitome of a dinner. The guys are nice and still remember my order from when I was 8 years old. I like the retro vibe of it and the grilled chicken special is a nice large portion and it hits the spot when I want something simple. Open super late too which is nice. Their shakes are great too!

I decided to get chocolate chip pancakes from here but oh man do I regret it. As I was eating I pulled a long piece of hair from my mouth. DISGUSTING. I really wish this place gets inspected for health safety regulation. DONOTEATFROMHERE. Can’t believe they get away with this.

Growing up in jersey, 50% of the meals I ate out were at diners. Now that I’ve been living in the city for a year I’ve made it my mission to find all the quality diners in NYC. Coopertown is one of them. To me, a good diner consists of speedy service, consistently good food, and cheap prices. I have a rotation of what I order from diners(omelette, tuna sandwich, turkey burger) and all of these have been approved at Coopertown. Also not to mention they have the quickest delivery time on seamless and they’re always reliable. I have actually only been inside the restaurant once and it looks like your typical diner. Coopertown is my go to diner for probably as long as I’ll be living in the east village. I’m not giving this 5 stars because it’s the best restaurant I’ve ever been to. I’m doing it because its a quality diner. You get what you pay for, and it’s good.

Good solid NYC Diner with great service. I was in the area when a family member was hospitalized at Beth Israel and I needed a relaxing getaway with waiter service. Had a BLT one day and a tomato-cheddar omelet w/home fries the next. Perfect.

It’s diner food, nothing fancy but OK in a pinch. It is expensive for what you are getting and the burger is not great.

Pretty standard diner. I’m a Stuytown res so I’ve both dined at and ordered from Coopertown and the results are consistent. Good, quality diner food, 30 min delivery, not-rude-yet-not-exactly friendly servers. Nothing to get too excited about but exactly what you’d expect, which in New York can sometimes be exactly what you need.

Simple food, that’s all. No fancy breads, cheeses, meats, or fresh baked anything. Sometimes it’s just what you need. My roommates and I come here often enough since we live close by. It’s a great place to go when you want someone else to make that omelet or grilled cheese you are perfectly capable of making yourself. Portions are generous. I can rarely finish my food here. I can’t rave about any of the food here because it’s really not anything to write home over. The service is ok enough, which is why I give only three stars – of all my visits here, only one time I actually got up and left. It was that day the city shut down for the 1 inch blizzard de Blasio warned us about, and the diner was the only place open. After being seated, we waited for someone to come take our order. And we waited. And waited. And then some kids who came in a good 15 minutes after us ordered from our server. I stared at the server in disbelief. I was so hungry and annoyed I didn’t even close my menu and push my chair back in, we just left. Other than that, this place is open late, 24 hours on the weekends, and has a huge menu. Get anything you are craving, drunk or sober.

The first time I came to this place was awesome. I ordered the Irish Breakfast and what I got in addition to it was 2 pieces of toast with jelly and butter, orange juice, ice water, coffee, and fruit. The dish itself was your all-American(or Irish rather) breakfast – meat topped with more meat, egg, and crispy hash browns. The service was very personable and I had the television in front of me to keep me busy. I came here again today, and same story, with same dish, same side stuff. Yet, it must have been busier because one of the waiters gave me tea instead of coffee less than a minute after I clearly said coffee. Now that wouldn’t be so bad if he didn’t place the check on my table when I had just started eating. I found that rather peculiar and unpleasant. There I am having my meal and I have the price tag staring at me the whole time as if saying«pay me, now!». As for the food, it was every bit just as wonderful as the first time(that made up for the service). I asked for champagne in my orange juice this time(mamosa), and I was stuffed. Come here when you’re hungry in the morning and you feel like treating yourself.
