Great traditional Italian food. Our server Luis was excellent. Highly recommended the chicken parm.

Great food and service! The meatball pasta was a very pleasant surprise since it seems to be a basic dish but the sauce was excellent and with home made pasta! There were specials and all of the food was good. There really were no misses, even the basic bread and bruschetta were great! For dessert, chocolate bomb and chocolate mousse cake were excellent! They even had the models of the desserts to show as example so knew exactly what you were getting! The wait staff is also on a different level. It is common to find many places with good food but the staff here really made an effort to be warm, friendly, solicitous and completely catered to us! Really took the experience up a notch. Our server was Luis, who was excellent! The ambiance is great, seating comfortable and really nothing negative. Very excellent experience for randomly picking a restaurant, feels like winning the lottery!

I’m not an Italian food lover but this place has made me fall in love with Italian food. The service was great I highly recommend.

My two stars are a reflection of the service. Food was delicious but the service here leaves a lot to be desired. The waiters are to the point of being over attentive and feel the need to explain half the menu before you order. Furthermore our party of 6 was served our entrees two at a time with a near 5 minute gap between the next round coming out. Lastly I’m all for a service making sure everything is satisfactory, but i don’t need the waiter to come to the table 4 times to make sure the food is ok. Overall i would not rush to go back.

My only gripe is my stomach could not fit any more of mama’s ragu! My wife had the mussels and they were so fresh! I dipped my bread in the sauce afterwards. Do not expect any pretentious dishes. This is place is old school New York all the way.

Warm, friendly staff greeted us as soon as we opened the door. The interior looked quite stylish in a muted way — not glitzy or over the top. The menu had a good range of options from pizza, through pasta and lasagna to fish. Orders were delivered promptly to the table and tasted fantastic.

Was here last night and I loved it! The staff is polite, the food was delicious and the manager working last night really took care of us. I highly recommend this place.

Great ambiance, good food but reasonable price. The service was really amazing. the entrance does not tell you how nice it is inside. but once you walk inside its really pretty and they have one of the cleanest restroom in a restaurant. The vegetarian pizza was amazing. they give you bruschetta as chef’s gift and then a huge basket of bread. Oh they also have year around restaurant week menu from Monday– Thursday.

I have been to Coppola’s twice now and both times it was so delicious! I went about a month ago with one of my friends for dinner. I ordered the homemade fusili with vodka sauce. It was delicious, so rich and creamy, easily one of the best pasta dishes I have had. My friend had the chicken parm and we were shocked with how big the portion was. You definitely get your money’s worth. My family was in town this weekend for Easter so I decided to take them here as it is a reasonably priced NYC restaurant and I knew the food was good. We had a 7pm reservation but due to the cold weather and our tired feet showed up at 6:15pm. The restaurant was very accommodating and seated us early. The service was great and our waiter was attentive and friendly. The food was great and everyone was very satisfied with their plate. We indulged in dessert and the tiramisu was to die for! I strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great atmosphere, hearty Italian food and a good price. We will definitely be coming back.

Don’t order from this place. The food is solid but they’ve got some of the worst service in the city. Literally over an hour late five separate times. Food showed up ice cold. The lady who answers the phone is rude and has no idea of what customer service means. We had an order come about an hour late today, and not only was it late, but it was freezing cold and the order was wrong. When calling and speaking with her, the solution she provided was to have the delivery person come to take back the cold food and refund us… But how about the entire time that we waited for the food? And the fact that now we have nothing to eat at 9pm? Horrible customer service here. Avoid at all costs.

They will not honor your reservation. I went to this place a couple of weeks ago, to celebrate my wedding anniversary with my wife. I made a reservation through OpenTable and received an email saying it was confirmed. I arrived on time(8:15 pm). As soon as I mention I had a reservation they said«it’ll be ready in a couple of minutes». I was fine with that, but 10 minutes have passed and we’re still waiting for the table. So they invite us to wait at the bar. 20 minutes later, we are still waiting. «It’s almost ready», they claimed. After 25 minutes, the same excuse. «We have three tables that are almost ready to leave» Really? What’s the point of making a reservation if they’re not going to reserve the table for you? In the end, we had to leave because we had movie tickets and also after 30 minutes they were still giving us excuses about the«almost ready» table. I’d recommend staying away from this place.

What attracted us was the name. We went to Francis Ford C’s place in Napa and thought it quite good. Apparently there’s no affiliation. There were two things that stand out in the NY Coppola’s: bruschetta, placed gratis on the table. Delicate flavors, very tasty. And the pasta. Cooked al dente. Perfect. Our entrees were good, albeit typical. A ‘parm’ kinda night for me and my daughter, she got chicken, I chose eggplant. My husband’s decision was more interesting. Chicken Toscana with mozarella, ricotta and spinach. Side salads are extra with no signature touch. We rounded out our meal with a bottle of decent cab, at ~ $ 36. Our waiter, a dead-ringer for The Rock, tried to sell what he deemed a ‘much better’ cabernet for $ 6 more, but this was fine. All in all, a good meal, a pretty restaurant and a nice evening out with my family.

For the sake of fueling my need for sleep, I’ll bang this review out quickly so I can get some shut eye… since I should have been asleep over an hour ago, but because of how @#)$*@#$ the service was… I’m still awake, and crumbling with sadness. The food is definitely solid — my table got everything, appetizers and entrees. For an entrée, if you decide to take the plunge with this place — go ahead and order the black linguini… it’s lights out(meaning, you’ll be very happy with your order). However; we’re not here to talk about the food, we’re here to discuss the service which was not just laughable… it was disturbing, terrifying, frustrating, insane and bonkers(yes, I used the word ‘bonkers’). Our waitress, I never got her name, likely because she was a figment of my imagination(I remember her having glasses on) was absentee and disconnected. Maybe she thought we were playing a weird game of hide and go seek? I don’t know what her deal was but everything took longer to get than the thing before — it was as if she’s never been a server in her life and decided to give it a whirl tonight. Lady, if you’re reading this — please don’t give it a whirl, go back to doing whatever you were doing before… I assure you, you’re better at whatever that was. So, the service was horrible… bad enough that I would never go back again and to add gasoline to our small fire of disappointment, our bill came and somehow we ended up tipping ANOTHER20% on top of the 20% that we felt socially obligated to tip anyways. Now, if you were a manager at a restaurant and you noticed a table tipped 40% after they’ve already complained to you about how bad the service was… don’t you think it would have been a good idea to maybe double check that the table meant to do that? By the way, we were 10 people… so that extra 20% is another $ 200 for the server… crazy since she should have paid us to sit there for 45 minutes to wait for a cake with a candle for the birthday girl. OVERALL: The night was a bust. I know Coppola’s has been there for a long time, but if they don’t get their act together soon… it should fade into the abyss. Okay, I’m now ready to go to sleep — I pray to god that the waitress and the crappy service don’t give me nightmares.

The cheese tortellini is very good but the chicken that they include is gross and makes you think of cafeteria lunch. The papardelle in short rib Ragu was severely undercooked when it came to the pasta, you could feel and taste the flour. The pasta wasn’t stirred when it boiled so some pieces were glued together with flour. They didn’t give much papardelle which wasn’t a bad thing considering it was so undercooked. The short ribs were big and tender. The sauce was bland and didn’t have enough seasoning. With these two big dishes delivered, they only gave 3 tiny pieces of bread(probably only because I asked for bread), a small container of grated Parmesan, and NOUTENSILS. On a scale of 1 – 10, this first time order was a 3. Although the chances of giving them another shot is probably a 6.

Fantastic service and amazing food!!! It all started with the phenomenal complementary bruschetta then the yummy bread basket… I never order pasta, but I got the Capellini Coppola and it was INCREDIBLE!!! My brother got engaged mid-dinner and all of the waiters were thrilled :) Amazing atmosphere too! All of the owners were eating a late night meal when we were leaving, wished us the best… Definitely coming back!

Coppola is a Italian restaurant among the sea of Indian restaurants in Gramercy/Murray Hill area. The servers were amazing and the food was solid. I was here for a meeting and lecture on a rainy night. We got to sit in the spacious downstairs dining room, which was arranged for the lecturer. The staff was quick to get our drinks, fill our orders, make sure we were comfortable and that we wouldn’t trip on the wires. The waiters were charming and funny. You felt flattered without feeling creeped out. The girls at my table giggled at their jokes. I ordered the calamari, jumbo shrimp parmigiana and the cheesecake. The calamari was crispy and perfectly cooked, but a bit oily. I was hungry after the lecture that I devoured the whole dinner plate, plus the crumbs. Too bad, because I was too full to fully enjoy the jumbo shrimp and the linguine. The linguine was cooked well done, with a great tomato sauce. Some of the shrimp was deveined, others were not. The cheesecake was light and fluffy, had some strawberry sauce and a slightly crisp graham cracker crust. Too bad I was way too full. Thank you guys for hosting us!

This is REAL food! Good old school Italian, but with an updated twist. I ordered the Eggplant Parmigiana which was so perfect! The side of spaghetti was almost a meal it-self, the sauce on it was a little, let’s say«mild», but not bad. I will soon be revisiting.

Came here about a week ago when my parents were in town, had a group of 6 people, was a tad cramped for the booth. It was unfortunately too warm in the restaurant which was rather unpleasant and uncomfortable. Décor/ambiance was nice, service was solid. Food was average, but I think this place has potential. Wine recommendation was on point and reasonably priced. For my main: I ordered the seared sea bass. It was perfectly cooked, the sear was great, but missed the mark in terms of flavor. Just seemed a bit lacking. The spinach underneath was likewise in lack of flavor and it was a tad oily as well. This dish could really be a home run, but someone needs to tweak it in a few areas, which seems to be a common thread on other dishes. Bruschetta was provided as a complimentary app. My step mom is a great cook and makes really good bruschetta and this wasn’t on par with hers. Her main was the Cappellini Coppola, which was actually pretty good. Nice garlic profile, with a light but flavorful wine touch, pasta was perfectly cooked again. I tried a bite of someones parm dish too, was average(I mean I don’t excited over parm in any case). If I recall correctly, think my dad had pork chops. He thought it was kind of average as well. Grilled calamari — good but was overcooked/a bit rubbery/chewy Overall this restaurant is probably just a little above average, but could easily move itself into a higher rating with some more attention to the food. For now, not a place I’d want to return to though as nyc has some amazing italian options.

Coppola’s gets 5 stars for service alone. I had called in advance to ask if they were handicap accessible since my father uses a motorized wheelchair and we wanted to go here for lunch. Joseph(who turned out being the GM) guaranteed me it was since we could take the building entrance. When I arrived, I used the restaurant entrance and Joseph along with 2 other staff members were quick to open the doors, move tables, and seamlessly get my father into the restaurant. Once we were seated, we were handed the food menu, the specials, and the wine list. My father was set on getting braciole while the tortellini immediately caught my eye. We were not rushed whatsoever and our beverages along with a bread basket came out quick. The food was absolutely delicious and we both polished off our plates. My tortellini was amazing and the cream sauce made it even better. Once we completed our meal, Joseph stopped by our table and chatted with is for quite a bit. He was genuine and funny, while also remaining professional. He is a great person to have a conversation with! For dessert, my father got the ice cream and I go the chocolate chip cheesecake. My father requested extra whipped cream and sure enough, the waiter brought out an entire side of whipped cream. My cheesecake was amazing albeit heavy but to to the point I couldn’t power through and finish it. 2 entrees, 2 desserts, 1 glass of wine, and 2 sodas all for $ 75. You really can’t go wrong with that in Manhattan!

We came here for a romantic dinner. Greeted by lovely hostess who walked us to out booth. Its my second time here and i absolutely in love with new décor. Food was exceptionally delicious. Starting with Pizzetta $ 6 gluten free small pizza. Grilled calamari was fresh and cooked to perfection. Portion was big. I don’t remember when and where i ate such a fresh vegetables — Arugula Salad was great for its price $ 9. Manager walked to our table and asked if we enjoying our food or need anything. I thought it was very attentive. All servers were welcoming, fast and always smile. Entrees OMG Stuffed Chicken with ham, swiss and spinach Cordon Bleu $ 24 brought me back home. My boyfriend ordered Atlantic Salmon $ 25, i couldn’t decide what i liked better his or my entrée;) Lava cake to top out beautiful evening. And great wine selection. Will go back there for sure! Highly recommend.
