I had a really bad experience with Dr. Gold’s office. I called the office and asked for an appointment and an estimated cost of the office visit. The receptionist Tracy told me on the phone that the visit would cost 25 dollars as per my insurance and she would call the insurance company to confirm the price. On the day of the appointment, she called me and moved the day of the appointment since the doctor wasn’t available, I was surprised when on the day of the new appointment she called me and moved the appointment again, promising that this time Dr. Gold wouldn’t cancel on me. Tracy mentioned that since it was my first visit, the visit would take an hour, which was fine with me.
When I arrived to the doctor, I waited 30 minutes to be seen. Imagine my surprise when I saw that Dr. Gold wasn’t there, but instead I was going to be seen by a different doctor. Mind you, nobody told me on the phone that I was going to be seeing a different doctor. It was frustrating when the doctor asked me to take my shirt off and said he’ll be back right away but instead I had to wait for him for 15 minutes while he attended to other patients. In the end, I had to wait for 45 minutes for 15 minutes with the doctor who was a replacement for Dr. Gold.
Imagine my frustration when Tracy gave me the bill and it was $ 84 instead of the $ 25 that she had confirmed earlier. When I got home, I called the insurance company and they confirmed that I had to pay only $ 25 and didn’t know why I would have been made to pay $ 84.
The insurance agent then called Dr. Gold’s office and asked Tracy about the $ 84 charge. Tracy was extremely aggressive on the phone and in the end hung up on the insurance agent! The agent told me he has never seen such behavior. I called Tracy again and she reluctantly agreed to refund me $ 59. I asked her why she had charged much more than I was supposed to pay, and she said that she had failed to reach the insurance company to confirm my healthcare plan, so she just charged as though I didn’t have any coverage!
Needless to say, Tracy never apologized and was aggressive on the phone…
In my life I’ve never encountered such bad customer service.
In summary Dr. Gold’s office failed on these accounts:
1) Moved the appointment twice.
2) Changed the doctor without informing me about the change
3) I had to wait 45 minutes to see a doctor for 15 minutes who was juggling multiple clients simultaneously
4) I was charged way more than i was supposed to pay
5) I never received an apology for any of the above
I strongly discourage you from visiting Dr. Gold’s office, based on my experience they don’t care about customers but only about charging them as much as possible.

Dr. Gold is amazing. I had back issues, and I didn’t even have to speak. He told me what it was, and he fixed it. After few days it was all good!
I see some people mentioned Monique in the comments. All I can say is she was so nice to me, and she did her job. I think if she was mean to you, you were probably not nice to her in the first place, which I do see happen. And I’m not talking about this office in specific. Just offices in general.
Anyways. Back to Dr. Cory Gold himself. Just amazing. End of story. Go see him NOW.
(I have moved and tried seeing other chiropractors near my new place. but no one comes even close to Dr. Gold.)

I was referred to Dr. Gold by a friend to cure my lower back and neck pain. Over the course of the past three months, Dr. Gold through a series of adjustments and tools for healthier living has helped to target and eliminate my pain completely. He is very professional and direct in identifying problematic areas, composing a plan to fix the problem areas, along with steps to reduce and prevent pain in the future. I can’t recommend Dr. Gold enough.

I had made an appointment over a month before. When I got there I was asked to show my insurance card again and then told that I would have to pay the full amount of $ 375 up front as they weren’t sure when they would get reimbursed by my insurance as they said they never got paid by another clients insurance for over 6 months?!! I don’t understand how another clients insurance has anything to do with my case and I wish they would have told me they were going to do this earlier instead of wasting my time and vacation days.

I have been a patient of Dr. Gold’s for years, and have always had an exceptional experience. My pain and discomfort has decreased significantly since I began seeing him. Dr. Gold has a wonderful bedside manner, and I have found his staff to be accommodating, professional, and friendly at all times. I highly recommend this practice.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Gold on and off since last August for recurring back/​neck pain due to minor scoliosis. First of all, I could not disagree more with those reviewers who said negative things about his front desk staff. Monique and the others are among the friendliest, most professional, and helpful medical staff I have EVER come across, in NY or elsewhere. They are all always smiling and welcoming, without the attitude that I encounter at basically every other doctor’s office in the city.
Dr. Gold is also incredibly kind and gentle. On my first visit, he actually met with me in his office and discussed all of my problems before taking me in to an exam room and doing an adjustment (so rare these days). He gave me a suggested list of very helpful exercises to do at home to maintain my back between appointments. He is not a «bone cracker» who will see how many noises he can elicit from your spine. He combines minimal adjustments with heat therapy and massage to get the best results.
His office has flexible hours, which means that I don’t have to rearrange my work schedule to see him. The only issue I’ve ever run into here is that they do not keep track of your deductible/​co-​insurance for you. If you hit your limit for the year and should be paying less per treatment, you may find yourself overpaying if you’re not careful. This happened once, but I got a refund quickly and easily.
I’d recommend his office without hesitation to anyone suffering from back or neck pain.

I switched to Dr Gold because my regular chiropractor doesn’t take my new insurance. He charged me almost 500 dollars for my patient exam, of which I was to pay 150. He barely gave me an adjustment. He spoke to me like I was an army recruit and had me do these weird exercises («use your core!»). He then wanted me to get x-​rays and kept threatening me and chastising me about all the things that would be destroyed in my life if I didn’t do x, y, and z. I then got a ton of «follow up calls» pushing the next appointment and x-​rays that I supposedly needed. The whole thing felt like a scam, to be honest. And a turn off.

He’s an amazing Chiropractor. His office manager, Monique, is just the sweetest and most personable, professional Office Manager I’ve ever met. I had a horrible lower back pain that he was able to target and treat, accordingly. And this is the winning line… for my birthday, his office sends a donation to Meals-​On-​Wheels in my honor. He knows how to get to the root of the problem AND how to be professional AND how to have an amazing bedside manner.

I knew I was in good hands from the moment I called to schedule my initial visit with Dr. Gold. His receptionist was extremely thorough and courteous with me on the phone regarding what I’d need to complete for my first visit as well as whether or not my insurance was accepted and where the office was specifically located. I found that extremely impressive because so many people in her position are quick to rush you off the phone and are not as willing to explain details.
This week will mark my third visit to Dr. Gold’s office and I can’t say enough great things — being new to chiropractic treatment, Dr. Gold puts me at ease and ensures I understand the why, the how and the what behind what he is doing for me.
With such a pleasant office team and amazing treatment from Dr. Gold himself, I can’t imagine going anywhere else!

I have been to 6 – 7 Chiropractors in my lifetime and none of them compare to Dr. Gold. He is very thorough and really knows what he is doing. He never rushes you and makes suggestions for different exercises you can try at home to help. Highly recommend!

I didn’t get to experience all that Dr. Gold was capable of because of his incompetent front office staff. I work in the insurance industry and have a good understanding of how insurance works. The insurance process should be seamless to the patients, however it is not the case at this office. He is listed as in network however the office staff tells me he is not. I have verified this 3 times now that he is in fact an in network provider. His front office staff continues to threaten me that I will have to pay the full fee because they don’t take that plan anymore. (I think her name is Monique). I canceled my future appointments and will not be going back to this office. It’s really unfortunate because Dr. Gold seems to be a very knowledgeable chiropractor and I was impressed with his initial exam. Goes to show you that even though you may be a good doctor you also need someone running your front desk that knows what they are doing or you will push patients away. P. S. That network you claim to have terminated has no record of it on file, so you should probably call them on that.

Chiropractors are such a mixed bag. Generally, you either get a miracle worker or you get a quack who’ll fix your problem temporarily (or worse yet, they’ll make things even worse for you). So I naturally turned to Unilocal when I needed one, and once again Unilocal did not steer me wrong. Obviously I have to write a review to pay it back into the Unilocaliverse.
Dr. Gold really knows his stuff. My first appointment was extremely thorough, and when he pinpointed the problem he gave me a long list of things I could do at home in between visits. He explains everything in great detail and has answered every question I’ve thrown at him. He also wasn’t afraid to not be the final, authoritative word — when he saw that my problems went far beyond alignment, he referred me to another doctor who was right across the street. It’s taken a few months, but between the two of them I’m almost entirely pain-​free, and for the first time in 16 years of off and on problems, I feel like maybe I’ve got it solved.
The front-​office staff is also great. Everyone is friendly and helpful. I’ve never had problems with scheduling, and I’ve always been seen within 5 minutes of the scheduled appointment time. I appreciate the tech-​savviness of the office, too. You can book appointments online, and you automatically get an email reminder the day before the appointment.

I am new to New York and found Dr Gold through my insurance, then read the reviews online which were amazing and I have to agree.
I have a scoliosis of the spine which causes ongoing back pain and I was seeing a chiropractor back in Australia. Dr Gold is thorough, thoughtful and a wonderful chiropractor. You never feel rushed with him and he knows his stuff. I highly recommend him!!!

Kind, thorough, skilled and effective. This is my first chiropractic experience, and I’m very impressed. Nice office staff, too. If you are looking for a chiropractor, I’d highly recommend Dr. Gold!
