The food is great but, they can never get an order right. I order from cosi a lot and 80% the time they miss one ingredient or another. Today, for example I ordered a chicken tbm melt and guess what the forgot? THECHICKEN! I saw it after I got back to my desk. Financial district is a busy area, so restaurants need to be efficient specially during lunch hour

We ordered two bowls and the mojito lemonade. Terrible Food. First food was cold. The rice for the Thai curry was almost like porridge and the tofu was just so cold it was unbelievable they would serve that. My husband didn’t even finish his Brazilian«steak» because It was cold. The mojito lemonade was old And the lime inside was already brown and it was nasty. First and last time to eat here.

Their bread is here is really good. It’s freshly made in a brick oven where you can see it upon entrance. The club sandwich is really good but the salads are ok. The downside to this place is that it’s pricy. It’s not an affordable place to eat everyday. They also have free coffee on Wednesdays. Their iced coffee isn’t that good if you like bold coffee, but their hot is better like the Jamaican brew.

Only come here on the weekend. The service is so much better then. On the week days they don’t handle the food with care and use ingredients sparingly… it undermines the purpose behind coming in… if you don’t want to feed people then close shop. Don’t forget to grab the bread ends on your way out

Meh. Salads are gross, limp, and drowned in dressing. Fresh mozzarella is rubbery. The line to order food is horrible and nobody seems to know what they’re doing or where to go. The bread is awesome though.

Not a fan. The sandwiches are not always consistent. The meat doesn’t taste as fresh. The bread is freshly made that’s mostly it. Doesn’t look like the staff keeps the salad options fresh/clean. My experiences with the staff has been good. However, it’s a bummer the same can’t be said about the food.

They didn’t have any oatmeal or egg whites at 10:30 am on a Sunday. They overcharged us $ 8. We noticed it and got our $ back, but it took time. Good value though. Food tastes good but lots of calories.

Pretty funny how this place has such low ratings. Unsurprisingly accurate however. Came in to get a salad on Saturday. The menu listed a small salad at $ 5 and change, I asked before ordering and the guy behind the counter confirmed that the price was just for a salad without any soup or sandwich. To my surprise, the cashier rang me up for almost $ 9!!! When I asked what was going on, she said that they JUST changed the price, despite the posted price being wrong, they did not honor the listed price. Pretty bad bait and switch, mediocre salad and terrible atmosphere full of obnoxious French tourists

Having been to Cosi in Connecticut, I was eager to try one of their NYC locations while I was working in the FiDi. Sadly, this place doesn’t compare to the locations outside of the city. It was the beginning of the usual lunch rush. The staff was kind enough and working efficiently. The overall space inside was clean. The most disappointing part was the food — it tasted rushed and definitely processed. I had the Adobo Chicken bowl, and while it was decent, it tasted like a Chipotle knockoff. I still like Cosi as a chain, but I’ll probably stick to their soups and salads from now on.

I don’t normally come here, but someone told me about the free coffee this week. The staff was very friendly and didn’t give me a hard time getting my coffee.

Yum yum! I don’t know why this place for such bad reviews. I came in for lunch and I was super pleased. The service was excellent. The person taking orders at the salad line helped me choose a salad and the person making my salad made it not only delicious he brought me my soup as well. I was in and out quickly and efficiently. Perfect lunch spot! I got the half/half. Half a salad and a small soup. It comes with a piece of bread on the side! So worth it! My entire meal was under $ 10. Adobo lime chicken salad — So goooooood! One of the better salads I’ve had in a while. It had chicken, roasted corn, black beans, tortilla strips, housemade pico de gallo, romaine, and adobo vinaigrette in it. The chicken was super juicy and I really enjoyed the vinaigrette. Overall it was a really good salad! Also it is a very generous half salad, which is always a plus! Turkey chili — the color threw me off a little, but this was pretty good. I wish it had a spicy kick to it though. Multi-grain bread — excelleeeeent! Cosi I don’t know how you made this bread super soft with a slightly crunchy crust, but kudos to you.

On weekends, super unorganized and lack luster staff. Takes what feels like hours to get an order completed while baby-making music is being blasted over the speakers. The guy at the register is really pointless. Just looks at his phone all the time while it takes forever to get an order made. This is really a problem with all Cosi’s I’ve been too, but this one is just so sad and sloppy, and this last experience was just just plan bad. Overall, food is good, if you can wait decades for it, but then leave because the atmosphere is annoying.

Located in FIDI this is a busy spot. If you have a short lunch break be prepared to wait. There’s always long lines. Pick up a free hot bread sample while you wait. I love there salads. My favorite sandwich to get is the pesto chicken. Washes down well with a raspberry lemonade. YUMMY! I

This Cosi is all sorts of confusing, isn’t it? If you want a salad you go to, lets call it, counter #1. Sandwich? Counter #2. And if you are just looking for a coffee/tea — counter #3. So what happens if you are looking for a sandwich for lunch and something to drink? Wellll apparently you have to get in two separate lines. That’s just silly. To add to the confusion — apparently the computer system was down. And no one seemed inclined to tell the customers waiting. I ended up paying in cash which wasn’t an issue… but I don’t know what they did about folks who only had a credit/debt card. On the plus side — the sandwich I ordered was made right in front of me and ready in less than a minute. And it tasted just fine. Not my favorite Cosi around but in a pinch it’ll work.

Horrible service on a Saturday, slowest day of the week. Avoid it if you can unless like waiting 25 min for a salad.

I was wondering what the fuss was about Cosi. Turns out their sandwiches are actually pretty good. I got the chicken pesto sandwich. They are appropriately size. The flatbread is tasty on it’s own: firm and chewy. The sandwich has the right proportions(30% bread, 50% lettuce and 20% chicken), brightened up by a salty oily pesto sauce. Kettle cooked chips were standard. Good.

This Cosi is confusing. I’m used to placing your order, being given a number, putting the number in the holder at your table, and being served your food. In this Cosi, there are different stations that vary by what you want. Salad, pizza, sandwiches, soup. Once my coworker and I figured out how this system worked, we ordered our food. The sandwich station was extremely quick and had my half sandwich out in less than a minute. My coworker’s pizza took a while, but that’s to be expected. I also took a half soup with my order, which meant paying on the other side of the stations and being given your soup with your receipt(again, confusing). There isn’t much seating here and they have one large family-style table in the center of the seated area. My sandwich was good and the soup was always good. My coworker really enjoyed her pizza and the crust looked nice and crispy. Unfortunately, as good as the food was, the idea of different stations still makes little to no sense to me. It takes up unnecessary space and makes for a confusing atmosphere when you’re trying to get some food and get back to work by the time your lunch hour is over. Not terrible, but not the best.

What a terrible introduction to NYC. I came here for a quick meal. Asked about soup of the day, it is out. Asked about some other menu items, employees look really confused. Ordered a tandoori chicken and asked if lettuce can be added in the sandwich, the employee was like«Hmm, that will cost you extra 25 cents.» I asked«what about tomato or other sides?» He is like«Well, okay… they are 25 cents extra for each side.» Then he hesitated and asked another employee, this other guy was like«no, it doesn’t cost extra. It is free.» By that time, I was thinking about switching to the shrimp pesto bowl. I asked«can I have the shrimp pesto bowl?» He was like, «you want the bowl?» I was like yes. I turned around to look for a table and came back, he was making a sandwich for me. I was like«I asked for a bowl.» He said«sorry that is not available so I can only make you this sandwich.» I think their employees need to receive more training in terms of what kind of services/items they offer.

I’m not sure why this place got bad reviews. It’s Cosi, the same as any Cosi anywhere. It has salads, sandwiches and soup — and just like Starbucks, the meal I got here was the same as any other location. I got a chopped salad(which btw comes with free bread). There’s plenty of seating. It’s clean, the staff is friendly, and if you go in the evening, NOONE is here.
