Amazing as always. Staff was nice. Food was good. Service was quick. Restaurant was clean.

This particular location was my first experience with the Cosi chain of restaurants, and sadly it kept me away from the chain for a long while. I went with a group of friends(about ten to twelve of us) and they took forever to seat us. Granted it was Saturday night. Once we were seated, the waitstaff took forever to attend to us. When we finally had our orders taken, the staff took forever, confusing one order after another. Then we realized there was water dripping on us from the air conditioning vent above! We complained but they didn’t reseat us, shifting the tables over a bit(some still got leaked on). We received no consideration on the bill and the waiters didn’t even apologize. I have sworn never to revisit this location.

I have come to expect all Cosi’s in NYC to be somewhat chaotic and messy, despite the fact that they have separate salad, sandwich, pizza, and payment lines. And since this one is located near Union Square, it’s a bit more hectic than others. The Signature Salad with a piece of regular flatbread is my standard order and it’s pretty consistent here. The ingredients were pretty fresh, so I have no complaints. And the salad maker changed gloves for every order. Although… if you have latex allergies, you’d probably want to make sure they’re using latex free gloves. There is a lot of seating at this Cosi — and if you want to camp out on a booth to do some work, go all the way into the back. There are two big restrooms that are kept pretty tidy. Not a bad place to grab a quick bite and chill out after shopping in Union Square.

This location is a HUGE embarrassement to great Cosi chain. At any good Cosi location, you can expect amazing salad like their signature salad or enjoy their amazing flat bread; however, this specific location only offers AWFUL service and rude staff. My friends and I decided to eat at the restaurant. This location has a large sit down area and waiter service. Our waitress must have been either 1) high/drugged 2) dropped as a baby when she was young or 3) just simply retarded or lazy. just don’t eat in there. all the staff there were just plain rude and not very hospitable. thank god there are other locations.

Who doesn’t love Cosi? Cheap prices, crispy bread, and a wide menu. However, this is the worst Cosi I have ever been to. My friends and I decided to eat at the restaurant, but it was a huge mistake. Our waitress was rude and extremely slow. We were a large group, but still she brought over one rolled up napkin/silverware set at a time. Also, one of my friends tried to order some sandwiches to go, but the waitress would not take her order, instead forcing her to go up to the counter and order separately. While at the counter, she had to wait close to 20 minutes for her order. Lastly, several of my friends had to wait an additional 10 minutes for their meals, while the rest of us set there politely waiting to chow down. My platter of hummus and toasted multigrain bread slices was enjoyable, but the service was enough to keep me from returning to this location.

There comes a time in every food service employee’s life when they stick their gloved hand into the bucket of sliced tomatoes and pull out a bunch of yellowish, under-ripe, sorry excuses for tomato bits. And at this time, the food service employee must ask themselves, ‘Is this what the customer wanted? To eat these flavorless discs of proto-tomato?’. And, in good conscience, they must realize that the answer is ‘no’. And then, rising to a higher challenge, they must ask the customer, ‘Our tomatoes are crap today; do you really want a Tomato, Basil, and Mozzarella sandwich, or would you like to change your order?’ Sadly, Cosi’s employees have not risen to meet this challenge. (Also, when a bunch of customers are sitting around with their laptops out, be it for National Novel Writing Month or some other exercise, the employees frequently say things like, ‘What the [expletive] is up with all these [expletive] laptops?’ to each other, right next to said customers.) (Also, the free wireless rarely works.)

Cosi Cosi how do I love thee. to be honest Panera kicks Cosi’s ass but there is no Panera in New York City area so I go to Cosi more often. I have to admit, they are bit too pricey but their bread and salads are amazing. I love salads, Iam picky when it comes to food. I love their dressing, they are all freshly tossed but I hope they also allow you to control the amount of salad dressing and not coat everything with greasy salad dressing. Cashier was very nice, good consistent service despite the fact that cosi is alwasy crowded.

Back during Parsons days — I would usually have a full day of school and I would stop by here to get a bite to eat. I usually like to get brie with grilled chicken here. I love their flat bread! It’s so good– moist and soft! I didn’t come here that often but they do give you a FREQUENTCARD. If you get 10 stamps you get a free salad or sandwich!!! The last time I came here I only had 2 stamps on my card. I handed over my card to the guy. When I got it back– I saw 9 stamps! So yeah do the math — I got 6 extra stamps! At first I was a bit confused by this but the guy was like, «If you didn’t noticed-I gave you a few extra stamps!» This is me — –): D Too bad I can’t remember his name — but he’s one cool dude!

I don’t normally go for these types of restaurants, but it was very satisfying after a tough hip-hop class at PMT Dance. I had a bacon, turkey & cheese melt. Their dessert selection looked pretty appetizing as well, and apparently they do have free wifi. If I lived nearby, I’d probably hang out there, writing reviews like this on my trusty Macbook whilst sipping a latte. It’d be a nice break from Starbucks.

This chain store actually has its roots in Albania, where it was first launched back in 1989. In Albanian, the word«cosi» means«Serving terrible fuckin’ food to unsuspecting customers at prices that feel like an absolute ripoff.» Free wi-fi, though.

I love Cosi food, but this particular establishment has really slow service — whether you’re waiting at the counter to pick up your to-go meal, or dining inside the restaurant, waiting for your meal to be served. The restaurant itself is definitely better than those of typical fast food joints. However, I waited a good 20 – 30 minutes just for my salad to arrive, while the table next to mine that had been seated 10 minutes after my sis and I had arrived received and finished their meals before we got our salads. Weird. In general, the bread at Cosi is yummilicious — sufficiently salty, crispy, and with a slightly naan-like quality. I like their Signature Salad, a variety of their sandwiches, and the marguerita pizza!

I met here for a meeting with another gal. I wanted some caffeine to spice up my evening, but something different than just iced coffee. Unfortunately their yummy looking frozen drink had milk in it. So I settled for a soy chai latte. It was definitely yummy! The air was a bit too cold, but the barrista service wasn’t too bad. I still have memories of this place when it was xando. But in general they serve good sandwhiches etc.

I had high hopes after walking past this place every other day and noticing how beautiful the interior and décor is. It tends to be quite crowded during the normal lunch hour weekday, hence I couldn’t resist but to try it myself. After nearly salivating over the tuna melt I ordered, I lost my appetite when it tasted like anything but tuna. It almost was like dried up flakey fish meat, which ruined my experience. I decided to go for a soup and salad during the next time around and the method this time was via delivery. The salad was disappointing and didn’t seem fresh while the soup was lukewarm at best. My faith was restored when I tried another Cosi at a different location to which the food was quite decent. Its just this location in which its not.

Yeah, this place is alright. I just don’t think a chain restaurant that is cafeteria style has the right to charge like $ 8 for a sandwich though. That’s just me.

Eh. The tomato basil mozzarella sandwich is a good meal, the seating is comfortable, and there weren’t any vermin, so I guess Cosi is fine. Not much to regret here, but not much to celebrate either.
