Whether you need an aspirin for your arraignment, Oreos for your oral argument, or nuts for your naturalization, this is the baby bodega for you. You can’t beat the great prices and laid back atmosphere. This place blows the courthouse bodega competition out of the water.

Five Reasons for Five Stars: 1. The selection. This place has it all and then some. I mean EVERYTHING! You won’t believe how many different types of items are for sale. Redefines one stop shopping(meaning that this one stop can be your only shopping stop because you can purchase everything you are looking for at this one stop). 2. The staff. Always positioned at the register and ready to accept payment. And they don’t judge you even when you are on your second M&M run of the afternoon(not that I have any experience with that, LOL). 3. The location. Safe, historical and judicial. There is also a court in the store’s building(my friend said that is where the store’s name comes from and she is probably right) so you can go to the court on your way to the store or vice versa! 4. The prices. Very competitive. My other friend sometimes uses the phrase«priced to sell»(he works in marketing, of course) and I think you could say that things at the store are«priced to sell.» I mean, you can purchase a can of pop(ANY flavor) for $ 1. Pretty good, right? 5. The community. This is not a Starbucks or a Pizza Hut. It is a local business and I always try to support local businesses to support the community. FYI, this place does not have pizza.

This baby bodega in the U.S. District Courthouse is a wonderful hidden gem for anyone who has reason to be in the court. Sodas are $ 1 for a can. The candy and snack collection is quite large for the size of the bodega. There are also random non-food items available for purchase, ranging from back issues of Glamour magazine to birthday banners to off-brand Ace bandages. I will truly miss this store when my time at the court ends. (P.S. The bodega does not accept credit cards, sadly, but there is a handy-dandy ATM right outside its front door.)
