This lovely café/​restaurant is truly a gem ! While
may seem best suited for lunch with its selection of soups and sandwiches, its best deal is during dinner. Last Friday I had a wonderful bowl of tomato basil soup, house-​made lasagna, and a bottle of orangina for only $ 11.95. The desserts also taste as fabulous as they look. Definitely worth checking out!

The quiche I ordered was prosciutto and mushroom. Everything was fine until the middle. The middle was still cold. I hope the owner reads this and heat up their quiches longer. Also the potato leek soup was luke warm. It wasn’t even warm, it was luke warm.
The foccacia roast beef sandwhich was really good. It have blue cheese in it which wasn’t in the menu description. Blue cheese have an acquire taste that is either hit or miss for most people. Thankfully I’m the type to really like it.
For dessert I recommend the affogato. It is really worth your $ 6.50.
Service was on the good side. The staff was nice. They didn’t rushed us to leave when we sat there for almost two hours.
The environment is like an upgraded café setting. A lady was on her laptop there, so I recommend you to go there if you are looking for a café to do some work.
Advice, ask them to to make your quiche extra hot and warm up the soup.

I’ve been wanting to try this place forever because of the pictures on Unilocal.
I got the
coupon so I went.
As soon as I got there I was disappointed. So little choices not like pictures on here. Only few choices of tarts.
Told the staff it’s my first time here and he was very nice to suggest stuff. I wanted the affogato and he suggested just that. I got that with some gelato flavor with a «z» that I can’t pronounce and Nutella but apparently it’s really only chocolate.
The affogato was good, gelato was nice.
I wanted the quiche and he said he will check first and there were only one of each left and a few were not available. That was A bummer. I asked for the prosciutto and mushroom but I’m pretty sure I got the ham. I noticed that it looks dark and dried out on the top, it doesn’t look very fresh. In the beginning it tasted too salty. But it wasn’t bad after a few bite. I wouldn’t get it next time tho.
Continued on to the passion fruit mousse. I didn’t like it. I was expecting something soft, melt in your mouth kinda deal. But it was not. I think they put too much of that gelatin to make the outside shiny.
The whole time the staff were busy with the catering. I think that’s why everything else inside the store is blah. I mean if people ordered that much food from them, I’m guessing this place is good. But I wish they pay more attention to the store.
Anyway, after we finished and going to pay. Another guy take care of us and our total only come up to $ 19.75 before tax. Unlike the other reviewer that got a break. We didn’t get a break, so we got another pastry some croissant with some crème. Not bad but eh not worth the $ 2.85.
we gave him the coupon and for some reason it showed that it has been used. I keep telling him no way and he acted like he didn’t believe us, even after I re-​login and showed him the coupon again. He was still doubting. I said this is my first time here, I definitely didn’t use it.
So anyway at the end we spent $ 13.xx
I would give this place 2 stars but the guy that help us the first time was very nice so that’s an extra star.
Will I come back. Probably not. I will take my dessert craving to ‘spot’ instead. Taste so much fresher and yummier.
But if you are here, get the affogato.

I think the ice cream is amazing, not to mention the friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere.

Okay gelato. Okay affogato. Nothing special. Staff was very friendly and it was clean. But food was not NY quality IMO.

This place has delicious croissants and a ton of potential. However, the service sucks. Additionally, cleanliness is not the top of their priority. I saw he owner clean her son’s nose then proceed to touch food and other items without washing her hands. She also cleaned a table and did not wash her hands. Then she proceeded to make coffees. So disgusting. I couldn’t even finish my food. This place lacks customer service, cleanliness and just quality in general. They need to get it together quick.

Very cute place.. Lots of eye candy (food wise) … everything I had was delicous.. only wish the prosciutto and mozzarella was warm and melty. maybe you have to ask for it to be warmed up

I have been here 2 times once for lunch once for ice cream. the lunch food was good not great and the ice cream was good, I would return if i was in the area not worth a a special trip

I wanted a quick sweet bite and found this place. The staff was nice and all but I will not be back. I had their version of red velvet cake and napoleon– the red velvet cake was dry and did not have much flavor. The napoleon was not flakey, but rather stale. I wish I could write better things but it was such a let down.

This is a lovely Italian dessert restaurant. My friends and I came with a $ 10 off $ 20 worth of dessert so we did get our money’s worth. We got two gelato cups (4 flavors each) along with tiramisu and the affogato.
The desserts were delicious; however, the tiramisu was rather bitter. Between four people, it was rather difficult to finish. We got full rather quickly.
A word of advice. Don’t tilt the affogato for photos.

Having been deprived of good quality gelato in the USA I was glad to find this place on my trip to NYC. I had the Hazelnut and Crema flavors. The small cup can hold a huge amount of gelato for a decent price. While I wish they had more flavors the ones they had were very good choices. As other Unilocalers have mentioned, the customer service was amazing!

I went here because it was on the top 10 gelato list and I was not disappointed. I went with a livingsocial deal for 2 where you pay $ 11 in order to get up to $ 22 in pastries, gelato and food. I went with my niece late in the afternoon, therefore there wasn’t much left in selections regarding the pastries. I asked for the last tiramisu, one pistachio cookie, and one scoop of birthday gelato. The tiramisu was the best I’ve ever had! And I might have just asked for one scoop of gelato, but they were so generous at this place that it ended up looking like a blue mountain of sweet heaven.
What impressed me so much about this place was the customer service. Everyone who worked there was so nice and attentive. Nowadays, it is so hard to get good customer service. They made it seem like they enjoyed working there and that made me enjoy my time there even more.

I love this place! My husband and I come here almost everyday to get work done. More often that not, the Internet is speedy and the music not too loud.
I almost always get a salad with chicken, the thing is huuuugeeee and for $ 10 it’s an amazing deal. Also, it’s fresh and tastes great!
I love their variety of mini pizzas, they warm them up for you! Mushroom is my favorite, then the plain mozzarella, and the tomato/​mozzarella and the ham and cheese! Oh, the yum! The bread is delicious.
Hubby always gets the coffee/​breakfast sandwich deal, for about $ 6 you get a large iced coffee and a sandwich w/​mozzarella and Parma ham on a buttery flaky croissant like roll– it’s so simple, yet so delicious!
Also got to try a variety of cookies and the Nutella gelato! To die for.
Everything is made in the house, the staff is really kind, the food amazing and fresh, the portions huge and the price super reasonable! My 4x/​week lunch/​work place!

A MUST GO dessert spot! It’s a cozy space, great environment, and NICK was a great person to go to with questions on dessert options. He even told us about the student discount 15% HECK YEAH
We both agreed on the blueberry gelato and it was also nicks favorite– it was so delicious… Omg.
The affogato with pistachio gelato was an A+
If you go a little further there’s cute sofas and a kareoke thing we saw (idk if we can use it) so those were cool additions.
Next time I wanna try the macaroons!

Let’s start off by saying that with a free «10 $ off»
coupon for 20 $ worth of dessert, my bill ended up being a little more than $ 9 (and even cheaper when I split the bill with friends).
The restaurant itself looks very clean, spacious, and cute. There are lots of italian, gelato-​based desserts in the dessert case that they can custom make for you with your gelato flavor of choice. My friends and I got a large cup of gelato (4 scoops) for $ 7, and it was quite tasty! I recommend the pistachio. And the affogato ($ 8) was also really nice. Like I mentioned before, they made the affogato with my flavor of choice, and it turned out very authentic tasting, especially with the coffee/​expresso mixed in. Not to mention that the plating was very cute! And then the tiramisu (approx $ 4) was the most bitter that i’ve ever had it. It was still very tasty, but I wish it could have been sweeter.
The guy that served us definitely was helpful. He explained every dessert to us, gave us the time we needed to pick what we wanted (bc we’re very indecisive), and the whole time was very nice about out whole bill not exactly meeting $ 20, as it was a little more than $ 19.

Nice little spot tucked beside Mickey D’s. We had a coupon to use up. Glad we did. Got sandwiches and an omelet and some terrific iced lattes and coffees. Some of the best I’ve ever had. The staff was friendly and efficient for a hot afternoon. On the way out we got to talking to the Italian owner/​manager?. Great guy. He insisted we sample their homemade gelato. Glad he did. VERY GOOD. We bought the blueberry to go. And walked in the shade down the west side of a very steamy 6^th avenue enjoying it with our little spoons.

Chocolates were white after unwrapping and pastries were stale and frozen. Not sure why I’m seeing other good reviews but I would avoid this place. Decent pricing and décor make it a quick stop between midtown and downtown though so two stars.

Never ordered ice cream before so I was apprehensive, but the delivery was greeat! THe ice cream came in a beautiful package and not melted. I was really impressed with the packaging. It was beautiful. I ordered the mascarpone stratelli espresso gelato and the vanilla with berries. Both were great! Definitely recommend.
