The employees here are super sweet and they get you your orders very quick. Most importantly the cupcakes are to die for!

I went in here after passing it on route to Grand Central, recognizing the name from a list of places to visit from a NYC based blogger.
The selection available was vast and for ages it was just me before a staff member appeared from the back. The lady looked sort of bored and annoyed at me taking photos. She was then confused when I opted for a happy birthday cupcake, including the candle even though I was eating in and it wasn’t my birthday. Hey, you’ve got to get the perks when you can and that perfect instagram shop. In the time I was in, one other customer came in to get cake pops for her kids.
The cupcake was really good, I loved the confetti throughout the cake, but the lack of atmosphere in the shop put me off.

Decided to treat myself for my birthday and purchased two cupcakes, a red velvet and vanilla/​chocolate sprinkle. To my surprise, the red velvet was stale and very dry. I won’t be purchasing any Crumbs again any time soon. What a waste of money!

Stale! I ordered the cookie dough cupcake and I also ordered the chocolate crumb cake cupcake, it tasted like it was made last week.

3 years ago today I got the reese’s peanut butter cupcake and this cupcake saved my life. No really though.
Exactly 3 years ago today I went to to this Crumbs bake shop with my boyfriend and bought a cupcake. After paying for a post-Valentine’s Day weekend in the city for him trying to make him happy I stopped here before our train and asked him if he wanted anything. He said he didn’t want anything. I said are you sure because I’m going to get something for my damn self and I don’t want you complaining — let me reiterate I have absolutely no intentions on unnecessarily sharing this cupcake. Crumbs cupcakes can’t and WON’T be split ESPECIALLY considering we’re visiting. Guys, he said no — and even gave some attitude with it. HE said NO. HE said he did NOT want one. This being said I did NOT buy him one, I got one for myself and one for my sister who was dog sitting.
So we got to our apartment and he went to take a bath and I started to consume the greatness that was this Crumbs cupcake with wine. Words can’t describe how good it was — so I won’t try. Because I’m a nice a person I decided you know what, give him a bite, and I did. I came back to the living room and continued to enjoy the beauty that was this cupcake. Ate the whole damn thing and cleaned that spoon that I only used to be classy. A few minutes later he came back asking where his half was. When he asked I looked like Simba watching Mufasa fall off of the cliff.
This incident erupted into a massive fight about how selfish I am — to be fair Crumbs makes emotions. This combined with many other issues — it just wasn’t meant to be, and I guess that’s just how the cupcakes crumbles.
That being said, looking back I should have probably bought two cupcakes… and then eaten both of them.

Nice bakery. It has your standard cupcakes, cookies and coffee. Cupcakes are $ 4.50 each and are very pretty. Almost too pretty to eat… almost!

I have only tried their cupcakes, and they were just awful. It’s really just 1 star, but since I haven’t tried their other stuff I gave it a 2, maybe other things they sell are better. Anyway, the cupcakes were incredibly stale, they must have spent at least 48+ hours on display before I bought them. It would’ve been ok if they were good, but they were overly sweet, with some strange texture and after-​taste. So if you are looking to get cupcakes in Midtown — avoid this place.

Love it! I came in today while waiting for my mom to get out of work and there’s nothing not to love. The girls behind the counter were attentive and friendly.
My cupcake was huge, fresh, and yummy! The seating area was spotless! It was clear that the staff stay on top of it.
The cupcakes stay true to their name, there was a ton of crumbs!

I took the train to grand central. I arrived at 12pm and had time to kill. Long story short, I wandered into a coffee shop which I quickly saw was Crumbs. The iced coffee was great! Kind of pricey for a medium– over $ 3. I finished my coffee and left. After my meeting, I returned and purchased two cupcakes! They’re HUGE! About the size of a softball give or take. I gave one away. So far I’ve only tried two small bites of mine. It’s a peanut butter cup with chocolate cake. Flavor wise it’s delicious. Texture wise, it seems a bit dry. I have it in the fridge. I’ll bring it down to room temperature tomorrow. Hopefully it will be more moist if at all possible. If not a cold cup of almond milk or coffee will partner well. This location is NOT CLOSED. It’s just outside the grand central exit on the Lexington Ave side. Huge variety!

I had been meaning to write this review and say this place is not a contender. For some reason, I never felt like something was right with this location and at least one or two others. Not sure, how many other states actually have Crumbs but unfortunately it has closed all their locations as of the close of today business day. I wanted to try the salads from David Burke last summer but they disappeared way too fast. The cupcakes were big here but kind of expensive. It is over for these guys sorry to say. Closed so suddenly.

As usual, Crumbs delivers a lot more than crumbs. If your looking for some of the best cupcakes and cakes, then this is the place. However, they are very high in calories. I don’t worry myself too much though. once in a while won’t hurt.

Crumbs may be one of my favorite bakeries, which is surprising because it is a chain. Last visit, my girlfriend and I ordered 4 of their cupcakes. The only flavor I recall was a blackout cupcake which hit the spot. Pricey, but to be expected given most of their locations and the monstrous size of the cupcakes. I am a glutton and ate 2 of them, but a normal person could easily deuce one with a friend.

Best darn 99 cent cup of COFFEE in NY from Kobricks Coffee Company also great cupcakes. different sizes and flavors. My personal favorite is the Blackout. choclater lover heaven!
Also the crumbnuts are great. Np patience to wait in line for a Cronut downtown … next best thing is here.

Cup cake heaven. My buddy who lives in Astoria told me about this place and urged me to try it as it’s a hit in his book. After Unilocaling it I said let’s give it a go. We were walking back to our hotel and stopped by to crab some sweets to take back to our room. The young girl behind the counter was so kind and courteous and was very informative about there cupcakes and gave us a breakdown on flavor, design, décor and history of this establishment. Pretty Cool !!! She said there best seller was the Red Velet and recommended an assortment of others. I added a Vanilla Coconut, Carrot Cake, Oreo Cookies and Cream and Peanut Butter Cup.
These cupcakes are dangerous, crazy good!!! Very rich yet sweet in flavor. Each cupcake taste exactly how it’s suppose too based on it’s description and name. My personal favorite was the carrot cake. Very soft, mouthwatering and juicy treat. Good amount of frosting and as my girlfriend would say the presentation was «on point». The Vanilla Coconut was another personal favorite. Those coconut flakes on the top along with the frosting on this particular cake make it a hit.
These’s cupcakes are in my book above average. If your hungry and want nothing but a sweet, I would say your good with an entire cupcake. If your coming here after having a meal and would like a sweet to cap off your dining then I would share.
In all, I enjoyed every bit of the cupcake and was pleased with there customer service.

The cupcakes here are HUGE and super sweet. A lot of them have some kind of filling on the inside. They’re good for a serious indulgence, but are really sweet and are best shared between at least 2 people. They have a lot of flavors that rotate throughout the week/​seasons. Reasonably priced for special cupcakes, especially keeping in mind that they are actually huge.

This might be my favorite Crumbs. People are really nice here and the coffee is quite good. People dump on Crumbs which I don’t get. The fact is the cupcakes are moist and uniquely flavored. Take this over Magnolia’s sawdust any day of the week.

We dropped by on a whim to get their red velvet cupcake and chocolate chip cookie.
I didn’t think both were good, but not great; but if I had to pick, I said the cookie was better.
Pricey too.
I would not be craving for Crumbs, but if I had a sweet tooth, and I was right next to Crumbs, I would drop in again.

I’ve tried Crumbs a few times now. I bought some for myself twice. I also received a few of these huge cupcakes as gifts. They are very pretty. They are BIG. But they are also kinda dry.
If you like really huge, SUPER SWEET cupcakes. You should give these a try. Hopefully the one you get won’t be so dry.
I’ve also tried their minis and really like those. They are always very moist, flavorful and colorful. A great bite sized morsel. I’m glad that there is LESS icing on it (making it less sweet). If they can make their minis so moist, why can’t they just do the same for their larger cupcakes? The minis are a bit expensive, but worth it.
I give Crumbs 3 stars, because I just don’t find myself craving these cupcakes as much as I do other cupcakes (ie. Chickalicious). Maybe it’s a good thing that I don’t crave these cupcakes often. Otherwise I would be in a permanent sugar coma.

With a discouraging and uncermonial eject encounter earlier this same day, I surely needed some love or form of comfort. Food and my very few good close friends at this point in my life are the only source to keep me strong. Unexpectedly in my travels to Grand Central Terminal I found hope… Crumbs!
The staff is immensely patient and very pleasant with a smile, which small gestures makes a dent in one’s heart and soul. There were two giant cupcakes priced at $ 35.00 each which were the most intriguing as a non-​traditional cake. One Squiggle cupcake at $ 3.75 to go replinish my juicy sweetness which no one can ever steal my inner joy. Crumbs cupcakes are always moist, tasty but not completely swimming in a sea of sugar. As a foodie and sweet lover, I believe sweets should never be drowning in sugar but moist to keep the consistency and taste alive.
There are limited seating, but no facilities for client usage. Space is clean.
