Moved from out of state to NY and arrived at the new house to discover it wasn’t ready. So I had to quickly find a place to store goods for a five bedroom home. Called around until I reached Manny at Cube Smart who gave me a great price on their two biggest units. He and Melissa made a difficult situation manageable. My thanks.

Had the storage space I needed, so it gets 2 stars. However, beware of the free truck and driver promotion. Make sure YOU ask the information about how to book because you’ll miss the boat if they don’t tell you themselves. I was told I could have it, but a day before the move in, I was told I needed to schedule it 48 hours in advance and nothing was done to accommodate me for the ck of communication. NOTHING. I was told it was SELF storage, so I was responsible– despite the promised truck. They have their own truck and I wasn’t even accommodated by that. I had to scramble and a miracle came though in my friend helping me with his van in two trips. Beware of the smell in the basement, too. It’s built on swamp space.

I needed a storage unit ASAP the Sunday before Labor Day which I thought would be impossible. However, I found them online, called the reservation number and had everything reserved before I even got there. The guy on the phone was helpful and answered all my questions. They were literally a 4 minute drive from my place. Once I got to the location, there was a huge parking lot which is a plus for those unloading with trucks. As soon as I walked into the front office, I was greeted and handled professionally. Everything was explained fully to me. They took to me the actual unit before I signed anything. The one I reserved had a pole running through it so they found me another one in the same size. I went back upstairs and signed all my paperwork. I was able to add my boyfriend as an additional person. Even though it was a different unit, I still got the same deal– half off 1^st month, 10% off, and free moving truck and driver (if needed). With insurance and lock, my total was $ 79 due at signing for a 5×5 (4 feet tall) lower unit.
You have to buy insurance so I chose the lowest which was $ 12/​month for up to $ 2000 coverage. I also bought a lock there ($ 17.99). A lock is required when you sign up. You have access to your unit 7 days a week from 8am-7:45pm. They let us use the carts there to move our stuff. There’s elevator access. You enter your personal code to access the building and your floor.
Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by the service and professionalism.
