Incompetent pharmacy staff. No courtesy call to notify that my prescription was ready and proceeded to discard my medications.

I have been to this CVS only a few time after years of going to Duane Reade.
For years. Wow, what a difference! Everyone is very friendly and very helpful. It’s open 24 hours and the pharmacists are great, fast and really helpful. The only way I would review a store is if it’s really good or really bad, and the staff at this CVS is excellent! Big up!

Incompetent and unknowledgeable pharmacist. Beware! Brent was the most unhelpful pharmacist I’ve ever encountered. At this location, there is always some sort of issue. It’s too bad it’s the only 24-​hour pharmacy in the neighborhood. But even then, they have lost my business due to tonight’s mix up surrounding my automatic refill.

My review’s for the pharmacy. I live in the neighborhood and switched to CVS from the local Duane Reade when I had a crippling migraine and needed a new Rx that none of the local Duane Reades could fill within 24 hours. The nearby independent pharmacy didn’t have the med either, so I was left with no choice but CVS. They filled the Rx while I waited.
I now do all my prescriptions here, because they are open 24 hours, and the staff are super nice and friendly. The wait is never as long as at Duane Reade, and all the gossip magazines are right there if you want to browse while you wait. They call automatically when it’s time to refill a prescription.
It was a nice surprise to find such an efficient, customer oriented pharmacy in an otherwise grungy, under-​stocked CVS!

Pharmacy Review:
The pharmacy here is EXCELLENT. They are very knowledgeable, very accommodating, and professional. And because I work close by, I can go during off times so I don’t need to wait at all, which is a nice bonus.
The rest of the store is a little dated looking but it is close and convenient.

this cvs is just blah, doesn’t even have a card section. its always my last resort choice.

Forgive my nonchalance, I almost forgot that this CVS location stands out from many others in that it’s probably the WORST in the entire city.
I cannot tell you how many times I have actually had to correct those morons in the white coats back there masquerading as «pharmacists». Total dummies who will undoubtedly succeed one day in making someone very ill due to their ineptness. I mean, for goodness sake, when the lowly customer outsmarts the questionably trained «pharmacists» in here time and time again, you know there’s a problem there. They, sadly, haven’t a clue.
The store itself is cramped and cluttered, with creaky old floors, dust all over the place, and the rudest, dumbest salesclerks you will ever meet. The many teenage «managers» that turn over rapidly are of similar ilk as well, and are completely useless as such. And of all the CVS locations in the city, I am plagued to have this shoddy one as my local store.
I have resigned myself to visit this CVS location only in dire necessity. No, wait, on second thought, perhaps it will be less painful to simply bypass this dump altogether and just remain sick.

The pharmacy, always inept, is now actively unhelpful.
Instead of telling me that a prescription could be dispensed only after a waiting period, the pharmacist instructed me that it was for a controlled substance, and that no other pharmacist would fill it if they wanted to keep their license. No mention of when I COULD pick it up.
Let me hasten to add that the medication in question is a painkiller for my elderly mother’s toothache, and not, say, crack. Done with this place forever.

I’ve been to this CVS a couple times now, as it is right down the street from me. There is not really much to say about it. It appeared to me just as good as any other CVS I have been to before. I’m not exactly sure how the pharmacy itself is because I have not picked up a prescription here before, so I cannot speak on that. But the store itself seemed to be fine. Plus, it’s open 24 hours! That’s always helpful.

This is a review for the pharmacy.
I had a lot of questions about what I was purchasing and the pharmacist I spoke with (I’m not sure her name) was incredibly helpful and took time to listen and assist me as best she could which I really really appreciated. I will most definitely return and will probably use them for all prescriptions, etc in the future. Highly recommended.

Open 24 hours is always a plus! There are a lot of self checkouts so you can just go in and out as you please, I’ve never waited on line here. It is kind of old and doesn’t have the greatest selection, but it is convenient if you live in the area and need some milk at midnight.

BLAH. cramped, overpacked… small… crummy looking… the staff were somewhat rude… and irritated to work there… i dont blame them.

When will you guys ever have the 99 cent bags of Sour Patch kids again? You have the $ 1.99 bags, but I’m not stupid. I can wait.

Your standard New York City CVS, if a little smaller and more cramped than you may be used to. However, this CVS location has two things going for it.
1) it’s open 24 hours. That alone merits an extra star in my book.
2) there are at least 5 self-​checkout kiosks — I haven’t had to wait on a line here in months.

One of the most unorganized pharmacys I have been to in the neighborhood. Always seems slow, confused, and rarely has prescriptions ready on time. Why does it take so long to fill out a refill, and do they always have to hunt for your precription when you come to pick it up? But they do get an extra star for staying open 24 hrs every day.

Um, I’d like to talk to those who do inventory and buying at this CVS. There’s never any Diet Coke and their Halloween candy stock was totally gone! I know it’s a recession, but all the more reason for kids to be hitting the streets. ;)
Love that they have a large selection of ice cream and milk… except on Sundays. It seems all the drugstores are out of skim milk when Sunday rolls around.
Yes, it’s lovely that they’re open 24 hours and so is their pharmacy, but they always seem to have some issue. They don’t have the products to fill the prescriptions or they aren’t careful enough in reading who they’re prescribed for. They deliver (prescriptions), but one time the guy tried to get into my apartment. Not cool…
Cheaper than Duane Reade, but pricier than Rite Aid, always use your CVS card.

OK so I’m a CVS shopper.
I was in the grocery store and for a box of cereal I was taking an equity line out on my apt.
Over to CVS I go two boxes of Kellogg’s for $ 3.99
I think the nationally branded Drug stores are a real value for New Yorkers watching their pennies. Although the selection is smaller for the staples Chips, Milk, Soda CEREAL Ha Ha their prices cant be beat. Don’t forget to get the CVS Care card for additional discounts.

This CVS is right next door to my friend’s apt. I am really jealous of that since I love CVS/​hate Duane Reade. I went in here just to buy a snack before heading up to her apt. They have the normal selection of goods and the cashier was pleasant as usual. I think CVS cashies are sooo much nicer than DR cashiers that it really just makes me avoid DR as much as possible. My friend just moved from here or else I would continue to frequent this CVS.

This was my go-​to CVS (I also was a Duane Reade shopper) when I lived on the UES and thank GOD they are open 24 hours — and usually had everything I could ever need.
Like Marlo says — if you’ve been to a CVS you’ve pretty much seen them all.
Decent service for Manhattan — I was impressed.
