Dallas BBQ

Presentation looked awesome. Food tasted awesome. Drinks looked beautiful and portions of everything are on point. I was very pleased. kudos.

Very large portion of ribs for 13. So large it has to be folded over the plate. Fast service and you get the food fast. I actually like their bbq sauce, as well. The only cons are since it is a cheap place you sometimes get a rough crowd and rough service. Also they don’t have much choice as far as sides. I mean you can get a salad but they don’t have really great sides like you would find at hill country, for example. You get what you pay for. I will return as it’s fast and tasty

I called to make sure they were open since it was a holiday and the woman I spoke to was confused and couldn’t answer my question, so she got someone else. After figuring out they were open, I came here with my fiancée for dinner. They took a while to take our order and constantly pushed drinks on us– normally bbqs is filed with huge drinks, but we weren’t in the mood today and our waiter wasn’t respectful of that. When the food arrived they messed up the orders and we didn’t get certain things we ordered. Only good thing was our bill was correct but it took forever to get it and pay.
The other locations are much better.

I been coming to BBQ’s for years!!! I’ve never went there and not have my food come out piping hot. This from someone who been to five of there locations. BBQ’s will always be a staple!!!

Came here on Christmas Eve, only one server that took care of the inside dining area and outdoor seating. Service was slow and there weren’t that many tables. The food was subpar, I ordered the brisket sandwich and the brisket was a bit too thick compared to other brisket sandwiches I’ve had. The bathroom is located in the basement level, the stairs was slippery and kind of steep, must be careful if you need to use the rest room. I think the next time I’m in the mood for Dallas BBQ I’ll go to the one in Times Square.

Possibly the worst of all locations in Manhattan and the Bronx. I placed an order which took over an hour to arrive, when it arrived I had several problems–
My salad came with a small side of dressing which was nowhere near enough to touch all of the salad. I asked for extra ketchup but was only sent 2 packets. I asked for ribs to not have sauce on it but to put it on the side instead and was given a tiny container of Bbq sauce.
My steak was a light grey color on the outside, medium rare inside (the only thing correct), but the steak was ice cold — it tastes like the steaks are pre cooked, flash frozen in an airtight pack and then the pack is thrown into boiling water to defrost it.

Great looking place and food looks amazing. The reason behind giving 3 stars is because of the girls service. She was so plain and boring, I can tell she does not like her job and she does not care about the customers. I canceled my food because I did not want to tip someone that did not earn it from the beginning.
My mom said she enjoyed her food tho. A small plus.

I’m writing this as I am sitting in my chair, impatiently waiting. For each minute that minute passes, I deduct one star for the lack of punctuality. It is a Wednesday night, the night before thanksgiving. There floor is half filled and I have been waiting 30 minutes for my food. Nobody in my party is satisfied, rather we are dissatisfied. Please get the food out quicker chefs!

Came here after the line to be seated at Kenka was taking too long. From the moment we entered, out waiter, Steve was so delightful and personable, I felt like I was in the south. He joked with us, anticipated our needs. We ordered texas size drink and a pitcher. He said «I understand, how about I bring the pitcher with the entrée, to see if you still want it then? The texas size is a handful» Sure enough after or slamming burgers (2slices of cheese inbetween the patties yaaasss) and wings we had no room for beer, so glad he didn’t add it. Here is a man who cares more about our satisfaction than adding more items onto our bill. He joked with us, and checked in enough to be caring, but in no way whatsoever overbearing. In general, this location is a bit out of my way, however because of Steve I will only go to this location. He is the man.

If you’re looking for gourmet BBQ sauce or something pretentious then click the little ‘x’ in the corner right now.

I think we all know NYC is mad expensive, so any place that gets 2 meals for $ 20 is the place for me.
Now there isn’t some sort of mindblowing experience here, just a deep appreciation for fast service that satisfies barbecue cravings.
So was the food good? Hell yeah.
The baby back ribs were tender and delicious and also DRENCHED in sauce. The fries were fries and the cornbread tasted like, surprise!, cornbread. The food comes in enormous portions…
I’m not complaining.
Bonus points for the delivery dude not giving me crap for climbing 5 flights of stairs.
5 stars because cupcake. I will definitely be ordering again.

Worst service ever! The manager was so dumb! And to top it all off I got food poison for this place!!!

Same as any other Dallas BBQ Place. The food is mediocre, but REALLY cheap, especially the mixed drinks. The reason I’m giving it a 4 is because the wait staff is really sweet and attentive. But be forewarned, the clientele is… the variety that wears fake acrylic nails and wild hair-styles…but I love it!
P. S. Sticky wings are a must.

Didn’t have any plan on a Labor day weekend … so we went here with friends. I had a dinner long long time ago with some families to a Dallas BBQ (i believed it was the one in Queens. not sure tho’). Anyway, I thought we were going to that location that I was years ago … but this was a different location. It wasn’t what I hoped for but this was ok. It was small and tight, but they have outside patio with tables. Wanted to sit outside, but didn’t.
So we sat inside, it was small. Tables and chairs are standard, it felt more like a bodega rather than a restaurant to me. But the people are extremely nice and friendly.
I ordered the Baby Back Ribs … umhh, it didn’t quite hit the mark. It’s mediocre. It’s dry and not moist enough to satisfy my appetite. We ordered the onion ring too, but it’s tasteless … sprinkled bit more salt to make it tastier. My husband has the beef ribs and bbq chicken … again, it was not what I expected. His plate is a little messy. I tried the beef ribs, it was decent. The kids were pretty happy with their meals tho’. We ordered them the veggie black bean burger (yeaahh looks like one of my girls has converted from a vegetarian to a pescatarian … I’ll keep you posted on this! That’s if I can keep track with all her changes! anyway it’s another story), and the other girls were happy with their ginormous cheeseburgers which I tasted, it was not so bad. Oh btw, skip a little to the end … my girl who had the veggie black bean burger, had to run to the bathroom a few times that night when we got home … gassy belly from the black bean it seemed like.
Now the drinks, they were HUGE! and DELICIOUS! Affordable … and HUGE! My husband does not really get drunk. But that night he had the Bull Dog … and it chewed him up like a bull dog! He didn’t get all the way drunk … He was just tipsy lols. but to me that’s enough indicator that the Bull Dog was pretty strong. All in all … we had a pretty good night. First time here and it wasn’t as «ghetto» as ppl say it is. It’s crowded for a reason – Affordable prices and BIG portions. I enjoyed the mild wings, but it was def a challenge. At least they gave me a bowl of blue cheese to dip it in. I am fond of any place that gives this much blue cheese. My margarita was huge and I swear it keep regenerating. I will most likely return :)

Mad chill waiter, food is mad good and cheap for the happy hour. Water has a lot of ice which is pretty annoying. But the chicken was juicy and kind of soft. The corn bread was on point and well made. I got the early bird

Am I ghetto? No
Is this place a little ghetto? Yes.
If you care, just go to an upper east side restaurant, spend 150 dollars and have a small margarita with a small appetizer.
But if you don’t care and you want good drinks at a good price, just go to Dallas BBQ! I’ve been to many different Dallas BBQ locations (loved all of them) and yesterday I went for the first time to the East Village location. Great location, outdoor tables, a very very polite and friendly waiter (a Spanish guy in the mid 40s) and the best and cheapest frozen drinks ever! This is a chain, so you shouldn’t expect high quality food, but the chicken tenders with spicy honey mustard were actually very tasty!
The only 2 things I don’t like about Dallas BBQ in general are:
1) Long wait time especially at the Queens location near my house. But yesterday on Sunday around 5pm there was no wait time at all at the East Village location and we were able to get an outdoor table.
2) Strong buffalo wings smell inside. Well, that may be bothersome to some people but I can deal with it and I don’t think I should take off one star for that.
(Tip: After you have a few drinks stop by The 13^th step across the street and have some fun!)

This place is mad ghetto and down-​market. But I have very fond memories of ordering the quarter chicken leg combo in high school. I usually stay away from most of the menu except for the chicken which I find tasty delish. I also try to avoid their fake neon colored frozen sugar cocktails too.
It’s really a two star place for atmosphere. Three stars for food. But I visit this place maybe once a year for fun. I do think the chicken here is delish and I really enjoy the sides. It’s not great food but really good comfort food at affordable prices.

So I went there with my boyfriend on a random Tuesday afternoon and the service was just amazing.
Our waiter was a Asian man who was very nice and offered us the new «Superman frozen alcoholic drink» which by far was SUPER! (corny moment)
We order burgers and another alcoholic drink. The restaurant was so relaxing, it wasn’t too hectic, we did not feel rushed, and once again the service and food was just G R E A T!
Oh but wait there’s more ‚
At the very end he gave us two little free carrot cupcakes and since we tipped the waiter really good he gave us two more with sprinkles haha, it was just a awesome time!

Food was ok, I had cheese burger plus baked potatoe… it was decent. Until I ordered the fried chicken wings. These wings had absolutely no taste whatsoever. I’ve had better wings at the corner Chinese place where I live.

Joined my friends as they were having dinner, and although I’d already eaten that night, I couldn’t resist their offers to try out their BBQ plates.
The staff was cool with me just joining in, plugging my phone at an extra outlet I saw at the server’s station, and even a 5^th person joining our 4-​top a little later. They were busy but not super crowded around 10pm on a Wednesday night.
The pulled pork was flavorful and filling, the fries huge and with a slight crisp (while soft on the inside!), and the cornbread was fairly moist (though still a little crumbly). I’d put them all around 3 stars, solid but not worth going out of your way for.
I was particularly moved by the Moscjito ad on our table and decided to get one. it was huge!

Yeah. huge! The mini inverted bottle of Moscato was cute. It’s plugged with a cherry, and you just have to lift it when you feel like the alcohol content is getting a little weak. I’m a lightweight so I definitely wasn’t able to finish this!
