Danna Homburger – Permanent hair Removal

My electrolysis experience with Danna was fabulous from start to finish. I called her and she immediately booked me for a time that was convenient for me. Her location is also fantastic, the building almost on the corner of 57^th Street & 6^th Avenue.
I walked into her clean, modern waiting room, full of great, new magazines to read while waiting. I hardly had to wait long though, as I had just opened a magazine when Danna, with a big, friendly greeting, called me into the very clean and bright office.
We spoke about which process was best for what I wanted to accomplish and chose electrolysis. Danna worked quickly and VERY painlessly. I was completely clean of the dark hair that was bothering me when I left the office. If/​when the hair grows back (most often several treatments are needed to permanently remove hair), I will DEFINITELY go back again to Danna. She is so nice, warm, and immediately put me completely at ease and inspired total trust and confidence.
Incidentally, what initially attracted me to Danna was her admission that she had problems with hair in her teens. I did as well, and had many previous electrolysis treatments. Recently, due to menopause, I have gotten some minor regrowth on my chin (as is common due to hormones). So I can say with confidence (and experience) that Danna is phenomenal at what she does, and almost completely painless.
I should also mention one more really impressive thing. At the end of the session, I was so grateful for Danna’s warmth, professionalism and near-​painfree electrolysis, that I wanted to tip her. Her response, «No thank you. I don’t accept tips, as I own the business.» Talk about honesty and integrity!!!

My first visit to Danna was more than I had expected. Danna’s office setting is ideal for nervous clients, I was greeted warmly, asked what my goals were and then given a detailed explanation of the procedure along with the benefits that should be expected. The procedure, to my surprise, was painless. I’m looking forward to my next session and would refer friends and family!

With the summer months approaching, deals in laser hair removal were aplenty and I wanted to take advantage! Daily Candy had issued a deal for Danna Homburger Expert Electrolysis and Laser Hair Removal in February and I jumped all over that. The deal was $ 80 for either one session of underarm and Brazilian bikini or one session for lower leg laser hair removal. Not needing the lower leg as I had taken care of that in high school, I opted for the underarm and Brazilian option.
I only just redeemed my deal a few weeks ago so the experience is fresh in my mind! Scheduling with Danna was a breeze and I found out she was in the same neighborhood as my office so it was perfect. I stopped by right after work and went straight to her suite. At first, I didn’t know how to get in (you have to ring or knock and someone has to get you?) and once I did get in, I sat in her small yet comfy waiting room filling out paperwork. Yes, yes, no, no, maybe, no, yes, check and BOOM, done with the paperwork. A few minutes later, Danna’s previous client exited and I was ushered in with a warm welcoming. The room is very small but don’t be fooled! That giant laser is a God send. Danna was very patient in telling me what to expect with the results, and if that I felt any pain to tell her so she could lower the intensity of the laser. Yeah right, bring on the pain!
So… clothes come off. First off, Brazilian. Yes little boys and girls, you know what that means. Don’t make me explain it. I thought I would wince in pain throughout but I honestly found the laser to be sooooo much easier than waxing! Seriously. It was fine. Don’t be afraid, ladies. The laser was cool to the touch and the pain (if any) was very fast. Next were my underarms, which were even easier. I think it took 30 seconds for both of them. Finito!
Now that it’s been a few weeks since the removal, I can definitely tell it worked. I have… um… bald patches in certain places (which is supposed to happen each time as you kill more hairs in the prime of their growth cycle!). I’ll just leave it at that. I would love to go back to Danna but I just can’t afford normal session prices right now. I am going after any laser hair removal package deals I can find at respectable places and am using those to continue my laser goals. Danna is great and I definitely recommend her especially if it’s your first time. She’s very warm and knowledgeable so it sets you at ease about the whole experience.
