Saw Fuerza Bruta today. Absolutely great! There were some moments where it could be shorter but overall wonderful! Hard to describe but if you don’t have fun then you are a dud, if two middle aged women can have an awesome experience then you can too. Listen to the positive reviews it’s true! I even danced under the spraying water, when I felt myself getting too wet I just moved –no problem. I didn’t take pictures too busy experiencing it all –don’t waste time with pictures just enjoy the show. Check your coat in for 2.00 $, don’t get there too early they don’t let you into the show space until the exact time. The theatre is small with no seating, clean bathroom with several stalls, small bar. Be careful going up and down the stairs, the lights are very dimmed and I stumbled. I did see an elevator on the side. The theatre is right next to Toys R Us and across the street from the train station, so it is very easy to find.

I saw Fuerza Bruta, and it was an awesome show. It was full of energy and it felt like I was at a rave. The bathrooms are clean and the staffs are friendly. The sound effects and the music were on point. Its a great place to bring a tourist to or for a date. It can get a little too crowded where you bump into or step on other people’s shoes.

Nice theater space. Under 10 minute walk from the subway/​Path station. Cozy bar/​waiting area.

Lights, colors, sounds… Fuerza bruta! What a show! Stimulating and full of energy!
I enjoyed the small theatre, and the interactive show. But if you have trouble with crowds, or claustrophobia, I definitely would not recommend the show.
Thankfully I wore flat shoes, and I was totally soaked by the ends of the show! Chatted with the cast after, they seem to truly enjoy making people happy with this show.
Word to the wise – two for one drinks after the show! Cheers!

The cast of the Mob Wives were here today (7÷7÷2014) for the 8PM showing of Wayra Fuerza Bruta.
GOOD FOR THEM. YIPPY.
But as soon as I realized I would have to waste my precious time, watching them walk from one side of the room to the other, then to pretend to have accidentally bumped into each other, and then to memorize whatever lines they had to act out, I WAS LIVID. I WAS PISSED!!!
WHO DO THEY THINK THEY ARE TO THINK THAT IT’S OKAY TO WASTE ALL OF OUR TIME?
I don’t waste a second of my time watching them on television, I sure as hell wasn’t going to waste my time watching them now.
And because of the damn camera crew’s lights, the show couldn’t start promptly at 8PM, as scheduled.
It was 8:15PM, and we were all just expected to stand around and wait for these big-​breasted Italian mobster wives/​girlfriends to finish whatever they were filming.
At 8:20PM, people were starting to get impatient and I took a few of the staff to the side and voiced my complaint. I asked if my ticket could be comped for another evening, since I did not waste any more time waiting for the cameramen to turn off their cameras, so to not interfere with the show.
At 8:30PM, I, along with many other people who were waiting for the show to start, started boo’ing and chanting ‘GET OUT. GET OUT. GET OUT.’ and when that wasn’t enough for the Fuerza Bruta staff to usher the cameramen and Mob Wives out, I knew that I had to speak to management.
The management coughed it up to ‘technical difficulties’ when in reality, we all know that it was just a lame attempt at a horribly executed marketing scheme.
SUCH A WASTE OF MY TIME.

Came here to see Fuerza Bruta. Yes, you can get «Rush tickets» for $ 30 2 hours before the show or check broadwayoffers or the show’s Facebook page for discounts.

Went here the other day to see the play «Love Therapy». This is a small theatre but is really nice, it is not huge but seating here is very comfortable. The staff was helpful and courteous.

Came here this past friday for Fuerza Bruta. This theater has the perfect set up for the show. Which i highly recommend for anyone who likes to have fun, dance, and see some mind blowing things!
The theater where the show is pretty large with an industrial look. It did get pretty hot in there I really felt for the performers.
The basement where the coat check and bar are is kind of sketchy but whatever. The coat check was man made and they almost forgot my friends bag when she picked up her jacket (bring a cross body so you don’t have to deal with this)

Loved this theatre! It was the perfect setup for their current running show — Fuerza Bruta! It was absolutely brilliant and I reccomend anyone who hasn’t seen the show yet, 5 STARS! If you love to dance, have a good time, and need a picnic for your senses, do it! Seriously though, buy your tickets before they leave for London!
More about the theatre — they have wonderfully high ceilings and an easily accessible theatre right in Union Square. The have many bathrooms as well as a fun bar on the lower level. The coat check was a little shady, but I’m not going to complain too much about that since it was only $ 2. Overall, great theatre especially for Fuerza Bruta, it worked perfectly! Hopefully will see another show here sometime soon!

I wanted to attend Fuerza Bruta. Great staff. Lounge and Theatre in one space. It really is an appropriate place to showcase art. You don’t need much to captivate an audience. I have to get used to the shortage of seats though, but otherwise it’s pretty cool.

They have a sketchy looking coat check when I went, so I ended up holding my big bag during the show :(When you go, specifically to see Fuerza, bring a small bag you don’t mind carrying and a ziploc bag for your phone and anything else that cannot afford water damage ;)
They also serve drinks at a petite bar and have long lines for the bathroom.

I have been to see Fuerza Bruta and went to see De La Gaurda many times at least twice a year.
The NY Times says it is for those who do not usually like theater.
Every New Yorker and or tourist should go to the Daryl Roth theater.
I thought about doing this review because of one of my Unilocal friends coming to NY. I thought what do we have here in NYC that they really can’t experience anywhere else? This theater came to mind! (NY used to be full of these experiences but they are rare now so that much more appreciated)

This is one of the best theaters in NYC. I saw De La Guarda twice as a kid and more recently, Fuerza Bruta. The Union Square location is prime especially if you go early to get rush tickets. You can hangout in the park and take turns waiting in line, or have someone save your spot in line and go grab food for everyone from the nearby Whole Foods. You usually have about 2 hours to kill after buying rush tickets which makes the location again, pretty fantastic. With Republic nearby you can get noodles or just head over to Whole Foods again for a before show snack or hit it up for a casual dinner afterwards. As for the actual interior of the theater, you go downstairs to the bar area and coat check. There are bathrooms underground as well. Coat check is typically $ 2 — and fast/​efficient — however, they are not responsible for lost items. The theater space is very unique and a huge cubical cavern. It is almost like you are at the bottom of a sink hole. There are fog machines and mingling as you wait for the show. The capabilities of the space are really astounding and make the current Fuerza Bruta show quite fun. I would love to see them make the space even more interactive if possible. Overall, this is one of my most favorite theater spaces in NYC. Look Up!

This theatre plays hosts to the amazingly talented theatrical group De La Guarda and their mind blowing show Fuerza Bruta. It’s the perfect venue, spacious enough and proper lighting by the cast makes for a great experience. Also good coat check area and little bar area downstairs.

I have been here many times — mostly to see De La Guarda and now to see Fuerzabruta.
With it’s high ceilings, it makes an excellent venue for these types of shows. Formerly a bank, the building is impressive to look at from Union Square.
They have a bar, coat check and restrooms on the lower level and the main performance area is upstairs — again, with the high ceilings it makes a great venue for the high energy shows that go on here.
Parking is hit or miss

This past weekend I went to see Fuerzabruta and it was a-​freaking-​mazing. I’m told, though, that the previous production, De La Guarda is on the homoerotic side (more towards my tastes) than the breeder-​rotic side. Still never had I seen such a performance. It was like a rave and a performance art piece at the same time.
I AM told that there will be ‘boys night’ on August 1^st. Unfortunately, I will be out of town :-(
