Being a long time TM practitioner, I was looking forward to participating in a group meditation here last Monday when visiting my NYC-​based daughter. Getting here was fairly easy as I love to walk. Once to the building however, it was hard to figure out what floor to go to. I was sent to the wrong floor, but the friendly staff saw me sitting there and gently guided me to the right place. A good turn out for the group meditation, but I was a little surprised there weren’t more people. I had anticipated a gathering, but we actually have more attend weekly group meditations in San Diego :-)

These guys are doing great work and I have been to their intro class. Of course they want you to enroll in their workshop BUT it is so insanely expensive. Something like $ 1.5K per person, and even if try and qualify to a half off discount, it’s still very steep for a 4-​session workshop. TM (transcendental meditation) is a great stress-​management technique with a ton of studies done thereon, but the pricing policy of the foundation makes it very elitist — otherwise I would have given them 5 stars. but, of course, If this is affordable for you — i’d say go for it.
