Deka

I’ve been in the store twice, both times right before closing time on a weekend. I went looking for a Mother’s Day gift and left with a great one-​of-​a-​kind necklace after describing my mom’s style. I went again last week to get dark metal pieces for myself. Both times the staff was super friendly, did not rush me out, completed the transactions on an iPad/​emailed me a receipt, and had unique, modern bags to package the pieces in. I’ll definitely be back for more conversation pieces!

This store is so charming! I am so happy I discovered Deka walking down E. 10^th st. It is on the Southeast corner at University. The boutique sells one of a kind European influenced pieces, with rough cut gemstones set in rings and pendants. The price range is very affordable for the materials they are using such as 18K-​22K gold, to oxidized silver and gold, to rings set with citrines, and tourmalines in many colors. I purchased a beautiful silver cuff bracelet set with amethysts and pink tourmaline. This jewelry is very colorful and great for Spring or everyday wear.
I spoke with Elena, the owner and designer, and she was very helpful describing the different stones and materials. They don’t have a website yet, but she said it will be launched soon. I am definitely coming back to Deka for my next gifts!
