**This is a review based off their cart around Ktown on 32nd street. ** I walked past this and got enticed by the cute shapes these pastries were made in. My boyfriend lived in korea for a year and he was a fan of the walnut cakes so we got them so he could walk down memory lane. Each are sold in 10s, $ 6.00 for the walnut and $ 5 for the fish ones. We wanted to try both so we asked if we could do a mix bag with half and half and get it for $ 5.50. The guy said no at first but he ended up giving it to us. I never had anything like this but I wasn’t blown away by them. I don’t know if its because it was served cold but I found it really meh. The custard wasn’t really sweet and it was kind of hard, not like a melted cream. The walnut one was a bit thick, again not creamy. My boyfriend has tried them in Korea and he said they’re alot better. We tried heating them up at home which does give it a better crunch and makes the insides a little softer but it’s still eh. Hot was still better than cold though. I don’t think I’ll ever get them again but I give them credit for their uniqueness?

Located inside the Haagen Daaz outfit, these little stuffed«lucky fish» makes for a decent snack on the go. They’re small, yet packed with a lot of vanilla custard. Personally, I found the filling to be a little too sweet for its size. Not too doughy, though wished they were a little more crispy. These aren’t bad. I’d get more if they were on the way, but I wouldn’t make a trip for them.

I recommend picking up a little bag of these simple and yummy crème-filled delimanjoo when you’re walking around Chinatown with an out-of-town friend. They’re light, not too sweet, and something you won’t find in other parts of the city! Also, adorable.

DeliManjoo Bakery is located inside Haagen Dazs store and it doesn’t have a sign so it will be hard to miss if you don’t know where to look for. I only discover this place from this Groupon deal I saw online. I ordered a set of 12 pieces of delimajoo($ 6.99) and a lucky fish($ 2.50 each). The delimajoo are cream custard(vanilla filling I think) cake and in the shape of little fishes. The lucky fish is a bigger version of the delimajoo but instead of vanilla filling it is red bean. I love both the items I purchased, the red bean paste in the lucky fish isn’t too much and the delimajoo isn’t too sweet. The products are a bit on the expensive side(in my opinion, the delimajoos). I would love to come back here more often!
