The customer service is awful. The men behind the grill and the cashiers are incredibly rude and impatient. Management needs to do a better job training their staff. You cannot build a successful business without satisfied customers, especially when the food quality is below average.

Just wanted to update. I haven’t been here in almost two years because of the reasons listed in my previous review. You have indeed missed out on thousands of my dollars.

Buffet style deli with reasonable food and price. But it’s a bit too crowded at noon. I may walk by and decide walk in or not.

Not much to write home about in general — it’s your typical«all-in-one» NYC deli. However, I keep coming back for their unlimited toppings chopped salad station. Just tell them everything you want in the salad, choose a dressing and tell them chopped or not chopped, and you’re on your way to one of the best salad deals in the city. A small is more than plenty to fill you up. Total is $ 8.17 after tax. Great deal.

Updating this for the guy at the udon counter. How is a guy at an udon counter at a shitty NYC deli deserving of 5 stars? I don’t know, but this guy is. He is polite, efficient, and when he sees me, starts making my fix. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

We wanted something quick and inexpensive near Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center but we were sorely disappointed. Half a container of the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had plus a water bottle was $ 20. The burgers and other food items seemed fairly price but the buffet is a total price trap.

Our first food stop in NYC… we were starving and there was nothing else opened so decided to grab a bite here. Nothing really special. It’s like cafeteria food… a salad bar on one side and the other side was a mix of stuff: chicken wings, dumpling, pasta, etc. $ 8.99/lb. They have an order as you go sandwich stand also. We got a bagel with bacon, avocado and eggs… we were starving so it tasted good at the time! But the quality of the bagel is not good compared to other places, especially for the price.

AOK indeed: sort of tucked away south of 30 Rock, but it’s open 24 hours, they have both hot and cold buffets by the ounce, a sushi(!) bar, and we also had a really nice hot freshly-made panini. Downgrades mostly for the wind tunnel(no airlock door) and the fact you have to schlep upstairs with your food to get to a seating area other than the stools in front, and for a slightly confusing layout. But for the quick bite where you can’t quite decide what you want to eat, recommended.

More or less the same kind of deli & by-the-lb buffet you’ll find on every corner. $ 5 Credit card minimum. The buffet is one of the more expensive at $ 8.99 /lb but its a bit more«gourmet» than other places. The food has a really good presentation and there is a HUGE selection compared to other places. Protip: Be sure to take food from the bottom of the pans that’s sitting in any sauce/juice if you want to avoid any dry meat from those heat lamps. I highly recommend the boneless pork ribs and the calamari. The soup is also surprisingly good. $ 4 for small, $ 5 for large. The seafood bisque has a lot of seafood in it and the chili chicken soup has is really hearty with a nice spicy kick.

My family and I were visiting Rockefeller Center and were hungry. We stopped by here and got sandwiches and burgers. Good serving — sandwiches come with chips and pickles. Prices were reasonable. Wide range of sandwich options, grilled meats, buffet. The Pesto Chicken was very good!

Good place, nice, quiet, average prices, but not cheap… But i guess is the average for being near rockefeller center!

Don’t come here if your looking for a great sand which. Very average, and the service is not good at all, but hey that’s New York. It fulfilled my hunger but I am not satisfied. It had quiet the variety but I wish I would have chosen something else to eat. I will not be returning.

I work at an office in the area and frequent the many lunch spots in the area. Today I decided to grab a sandwich from Delis 48 with a friend and eat upstairs at the seats. Before heading up the stairs I realized I forgot a drink as I normally eat at the office, so I grabbed a Fiji water from the cooler on the way up with the intention of paying for it on my way out. As I’m eating my sandwich and catching up with my friend a man walks up to my table points at the water and asks if I had paid for it. I respond that I hadn’t yet and how I was going to pay at the register on the way out since its near the exit. The man shakes his head disapprovingly and storms away, clearly convinced that I am trying to steal his $ 3 bottle of water… Afterwards, I pay for the water bottle and walk to give the man the receipt where I ask him where the owner is — to tell him about my experience. The man replies that he is the owner, to which I respond that I will never be back. The man gives me a laugh and walks away. I urge people to shop elsewhere for their lunch. If the owner is so concerned about a $ 3 water and couldn’t care less if he loses a customer, just imagine the quality of food that must be being used in this deli…

There isn’t anything spectacular here, but most things are reasonably priced and the serving sizes are generous. I’ve had a breakfast wrap(not bad), buffet pay per weight food(looks delicious but is flavorless and way too expensive), the teriyaki stir fry(never having that again — it was really bad), and chicken cutlet sandwiches(pretty standard). From what I have tried, my advise is to stick to the sandwiches.

A generic midtown Manhattan deli that serves anything from bagels to lunch sandwiches to lasagna. As you might expect from the description, the food is nothing to write home about. I’ve found the sandwiches to be a little dry, but certainly passable. The bright side of the locale is the cheap prices relative to other similar places(sandwiches ~$ 2 cheaper than Lennys /Potbelly etc.). However, on 2 of my last 3 morning visits, they were out of my bagel of choice — poppy seed bagel. Now, I’m not sure what is going on with the global supply of poppy seed bagel. Maybe the poppy seed bagel tree suffered dramatically lower yields this year due to El Niño weather in Latin America. Maybe a poppy seed bagel transport boat got stopped at customs in Miami because of suspected ties to ISIS. Whatever the reason, 66% of my most recent visits have ended with me not having a poppy seed bagel in my mouth. And for this, I will give them a 2 instead of a 3.

There are a few dishes at lunch hot buffet I really like: baked white fish, baked tilapia, baked salmon, shrimp linguine, mixed seafood in tomato sauce, beef stew, and beef brisket!!! These dishes are very well seasoned and prepared. Their soups are also very hearty! New Orleans jumbo is delicious. They have many Asian food options too: fried soup dumpling is especially yummy. But again Asian food is not their strong suit even though they have everything. This is a great rotating lunch spot.

This is a good spot for breakfast or lunch if you work in the area. They have two hot bars(both serve breakfast foods and then change for lunch) and a number of stations for sandwiches, Korean ramen? and salads. I get BEC on a bagel here regularly and it is always very tasty. The ramen was interesting and a decent value at $ 6.95. The selection of bottled drinks is massive. Since it is close to my work, this is really everything I could ask for in a deli.

Two and a half stars. Middle of the road deli that has a good selection of gourmet sandwich toppings. Looks like they have cleaned up their menus by making it easier to order certain sandwich combos by name. They have burritos, sandwiches, burgers, soups, hot/cold buffet and sushi. There is a very surly guy on the grill line. You can tell by the constant scowl on his face. Prices are decent. If you want to eat at a better deli go to Blake and Todd’s.

So this is one of the buffet places(pay per pound) places on midtown east. The food looks pretty good during lunch– very hot and fresh. Unfortunately it’s usually crowded, like every other place in midtown east but it’s probably not as crowded as like Toasties or Chipotle. They have sandwiches(hot and cold) and pastas and soups and fruits and all your regular pantry items. I can’t speak for any of these because I really just come for the salad which is $ 8 for a small(this is about a regular size at Chop’t) salad with all you can order toppings. If you’re like me and you like everything on your salad(they really do have a lot from baby corn to teriyaki chicken to sundried tomatoes), then you might wanna check this place out. Unfortunately you really get what you pay for as some of the ingredients isn’t what I would call the freshest. But I do recommend giving it a try– maybe it’s just the few times. The staff is friendly and quick, even with so many people so I do give them kudos for that.
