Not as good as the Dig Inn in Brookfield Place, which I know sounds weird because it’s the same chain. Line during lunch is massive BTW.

My go-to lunch place! This is a great choice if you want something healthy for a change. You start of picking a meat(or no meat) and a size(small or large), then a grain, and then two sides(three if you opt out for meat). For meats, my favorite is the five spice turkey meatballs. The small comes with two meatballs while large comes with three. The lemon chicken is usually dry, beef is pretty good, and the salmon is cold. A small is more than enough for me but most of the guys get a large. Next, the grains or spinach. Go for the Farro! Do it! It’s so good. Farro comes with veggies mixed into it like squash. However if you’re not a fan or parsley, probably stay away from it. Oh the sides. My favorite part. The sides are listed on the wooden menu. Left is usually the cold sides while the right is the warm. My favorite cold sides are the organic tofu salad, broccoli, and sweet and savory granola spinach. The tofu salad will blow your mind. The broccoli is standard but still good. The spinach has sweet pears, a savory sauce, and granola. It is just divine. My favorite warm sides are Curried kale and squash and the roasted cauliflower. IFANYOFTHESEAREAVAILABLEGETTHEM. The sides alternate depending on the season. If none of these options are available or if you’re not feeling adventurous safe choices are the sweet potatoes and one of the spinach/kale salads. The Mac and cheese is extra and has a grainy taste. Not bad but I prefer the other sides. If you’re allergic to any ingredient, you can always check in advance on their website and there’s a break down of ingredients. The only downside is that during peak lunch time the line is ridiculous. Sometimes out the door.

My favorite place for a quick, healthy lunch or dinner. I’ve been going to this location for years. I usually get the braised beef, meatballs, or wild salmon salad. They have a rotating side of veggies depending on the season and I haven’t been disappointed yet. I like that most of the food is not overly salty yet tasty; perhaps the meatballs might be. I’ve only dealt with friendly workers and no complaints to be had. I mostly go after the lunch rush hour crowd. During weekday lunch, the lines are long. If you can’t wait, I would order for pickup on the Dig Inn app or Seamless ahead of time. I don’t order for delivery so can’t speak to that experience. Use the Dig Inn app to pay and you get $ 9 in credit every $ 99 you spend, so you can save a little bit of money.

Great concept, great execution. I was worried the food wouldn’t be great since it’s a fast-casual environment but it was delicious and definitely reasonably priced. I had the salmon with brown rice, avocado, and kale Caesar(I make a better kale Caesar at home, but it was still good). My only complaint would be that the workers there are very impatient — I had never been there before and they were rolling their eyes and sighing when I asked questions… other than that, all good! The small portion was filling enough for me.

Decent food and service — I came here on a Sunday but it is a little overpriced for the food and the quality of food you get. I assume you just come here when you are on lunch break and you work on Wall St. This place is dead on weekends, and the small and large differences for the plates is super small(cant really tell a difference at all)

I am a HUGE fan of dig inn, but the one on pine street in fidi is my absolute favorite. Mostly because of the friendly service and serving sizes given. The servers definitely have a «heavier hand» than other locations I’ve been to — I can get full off of a Small plate when I usually get Large. I do come at night though so it might be different than lunch when fidi is bustling… The menu is seasonal so items switch out every few months. My favorites are the brussel sprouts and tofu. Don’t get the cookies though! They’re not even soft and taste healthy. Yuck!

Good: Food quality menu selections are all decent. Place for improvement: — Small portion for $ 9.25 is small :-) but more importantly not consistent with portions. Not sure about the value of Dig inn vs selectively/pick food from nearest Chinese buffet(e.g. bok choy, Tofu etc) which is 25% cheaper with a free can of diet Soda ;-)

Ehhh, it always seems like the closer you are to something, the more you take it for granted. I work steps away from this place but I’ve only been twice. Once when it was busy, another time when it wasn’t. Let’s break it down shall we? First time, dead time. I got the meatballs, which were about as nondescript as it gets. Not bad, but the five spice was doing the work of only one. Mac and cheese on the side along with the brussel sprouts was adequate. Next time, busy time. Steak, brussels, and kale caesar. Decent steak, and the kale saved the meal. I was almost ok with spending $ 11… And then, the cashier. In all the rush I didn’t see my order get picked up, I get called down and am greeted with an“OHMYGOD”. I was so taken aback by the attitude for having wasted 10 seconds of her apparently precious time, then she quickly rebounded with an emphatic ‘how are you!’ Sorry sweetie, I’m still licking my wound. That will cost you a star.

This place is so good, and insanely affordable! If you are looking for healthy options Dig Inn is the way to go. For a small, reasonable price you can get several veggie options, proteins, and grains. Service there can be a little less than 100% during peak hours, but not bad enough to ruin the experience! I got the«small» lemon chicken meal and it filled me up. I got my food quickly, and in NYC that is always appreciated.

Ordered through Seamless. Delicious wild salmon salad — perfectly seasoned! Delivery was prompt. Unfortunately my delivery didn’t include the guacamole I ordered, which is why I docked two stars. Order and costs: Wild Salmon Salad — $ 11.62/ea * Big Plate * Raw Baby Spinach * Broccoli w/Roasted Garlic & Almonds * Brussels Sprouts * Fresh Made Guacamole — $ 1.5900 * Lemon Wedge — Total: $ 13.21

I ordered the meatballs and while that was pretty good, I didn’t think the meal was worth what I paid for it. The sweet potatoes were good but the broccoli with garlic and almonds was cold and sour. It threw me off and wasn’t good at all, I ended up throwing that entire side away. I’ve also tried the organic tofu salad and it was cold as well. I think they should label which sides are cold and which are warm, I wouldn’t have gotten either cold salads had I known. Moreover, my friend who ordered the beef found a long curly strand of hair in her food. We took our food to go so we couldn’t have asked for another one but it was extremely unappealing. Overall, not much of a fan.

This place really hits the spot. The new face of fast food offers fresh healthy food. We had the beef which in was tender and flavorful. We also ordered the lemon chicken which was light and delicious. Tried most of the sides — Brussels sprouts and sweet potato were tasty. Overall great spot in a location which lacks food options — especially on a Sunday.

I appreciate Dig Inn for trying to make healthy taste good. I usually avoid the popular salad places in Fidi(Chop’t, Just Salad, etc.) which I find pricey and pretty tasteless, but Dig Inn knows how to add flavors to its salads! I had a kale salad with chicken, chickpeas and potatoes. The chicken was on point. There was so much flavor in every bite of meat that I basically forgot I was also eating raw kale along with it. Thanks Dig Inn for keeping me healthy!

Feel like having a healthy, filling and tasty lunch? This place is a perfect choice. My favorite side is the cauliflower with capers and chickpeas. The braised beef is okay but I prefer the meatballs more. I get the tofu every now and then. Not a fan of the sweet potatoes or squash. There is a lot of seating available.

Finally decided to try dig inn today as my coworkers are always eating there. I was told that their food is reminiscent of southern comfort food so I got excited! Went in today to try the mac& cheese, rice and chicken. I was disappointed. The only way to describe my meal was bland… this was a disappointing«first try». The mac and cheese was gooey with weird bread crumbs(I think) on top, brown rice tasted rubbery and chicken was okay. This is not comfort food folks! Comfort food is well-seasoned. I understand that this is supposed to be a healthy spin, but there’s no harm in seasoning your food well(with low sodium content). I may give it a second try, only because I am usually very easy to please in terms of food and i like to give chances. I’ll chuck this first try up to a bad day. next time, I’m hoping to be pleasantly surprised. Something to note, I had great service! Everyone there was cool and down to earth. Furthermore, i love the rustic décor.

Healthy eats. To fill the void with a friend we came here as the in-between meal. Salad menu changes according to season. Everything is farm fresh. Kale is a very popular side and the dressing leave a weird after taste. Personally, I never like Kale or Kale chips due to its rough texture. Rustic atmosphere. Eating healthy can have a price tag. Dig Inn puts $$$$ for very pricey starting at $ 5.50. Their takeout menu is printed on 100% post-consumer Kraft 70 lb. text paper.

Fresh food that is reasonably priced. The selections are good on flavor, but was nothing extraordinary. One positive is the excellent labeling on allergens that are present in each of their offerings. On the downside, the serving area appeared to have high probability of cross contamination with other items that contain allergens. As a gluten free customer, I’m sensitive to cross contamination before my purchases and if I’m lucky my physical sensitivity doesn’t kick in afterwords if mistakes are made. I was impressed with this chain’s philosophy on quality food, freshness, and using less wheat. I had a good meal that had decent flavor combinations, but was far from great. A few minor changes to their serving methods would increase my comfort more about the allergen content in all their foods.

I first noticed Dig Inn when I visited Hudson Eats and thought the food looked really really good! I ended up looking it up on the internet and noticed it was a chain and that there were multiple downtown/fidi locations so I took it upon myself to see what it was all about. I visited the 80 Pine Street location one day, a little bit before prime time lunch time at 11:45am on a weekday. This location is pretty big and has plenty of seating, but I can envision it being crowded @ around 12:30 because I assume it has to be pretty popular serving the type of food(farm to counter) it does. I ordered a large takeout box with White Rice and Lemon Herb Chicken with Mac & Cheese and String Beans & Roasted Potatoes. Just a side note, after I got rung up and left, at first I wasn’t sure, but on reflection I was actually charged for a different meal that cost a little more. Obviously, I didn’t go back because it was not much, but if I ever visit here again, I’ll be sure to check my receipt! Anyhow, I was a bit disappointed by the food. First, by the time I returned to my office, it wasn’t warm anymore, but was cold. I attributed that to the food not being hot when it was served to me because I’ve walked back to my office many times with my food and it stayed warm/hot for another 25 – 30 minutes even! Second, the food was a bit bland. The mac and cheese was dry and the roasted potatoes weren’t the most flavorful. The lemon herb chicken had a tangy taste to it and that wasn’t what I expected either. I’m hoping it was just a bad day because I did have intentions of returning to give them a second chance, at this location or another. Being that it’s such a popular lunch destination, I hope next time will fare much better!

When you’re in the mood for something wholesome & healthy this is the perfect place to go. I’ve been here on a few occasions when I wanted to mix up my lunch rotation. In FiDi the typical lunch consists of either a variation of Mexican, a «fancy“salad, or a sandwich. Dig inn is in a category all by itself. This place puts a twist on healthy. First, you choose a protein. I’ve had the brisket as well as the lemon chicken. The brisket is good, but nothing special. I highly recommend the lemon chicken. It’s super juicy with the perfect amount of lemon. Second, you get to choose a bed of greens or a grain. I always go with a grain because the sides usually have greens in them. The brown rice is cooked to perfection and the specialty grain is usually very good. I’ve had the tomato rice or something like that. Finally, you get to choose two more sides. I’ve had the roasted sweet potatoes, summer kale salad, quinoa salad, as well as the potatoes with roasted corn & green beans. Out of all of them, I like the sweet potatoes and quinoa salad the most. The quinoa even has walnuts inside. There are also sauces you can ask for on the side to complement your meal. For under 10 $ you can eat a delicious healthy meal that won’t make you feel guilty afterwards.

I don’t quite venture out to the Wall Street area much even though I work on William, but I was glad that my friend suggested Dig Inn as I am all about trying different places. When you go during the lunch rush, you may be intimidated by the length of the line, but rest assured, it does move quickly. You choose a protein, a carb and two sides and then whether you want a small or large portion. The large actually isn’t large or unmanageable so I will always go for that. I had the rosemary turkey with brown rice, kale and apple salad and the pineapple mint slaw with a bottle of ginger mint tea. Before I talk about the food, you need to know that Dig Inn is all about the freshest local produce! The turkey was very flavorful and delicious though it was right on the border of well cooked and dry. The brown rice was quite great. It didn’t have that typical brown rice graininess and really ate like white rice. The kale and apple salad was crisp, clean and well put together whole the pineapple mint slaw was my favorite part of the meal. Perfect balance of sweet and savory and the mint wasn’t overpowering. The tea is bottled, but still refreshing. A little over $ 4 though I believe so keep that in mind. I knocked a star off because the turkey really should’ve been juicier. All in all, I spent $ 14 for lunch and had a great experience. I will definitely go again and once again, «dig in.» See what I did there? I bet none of the others used that wildly original pun.
