This is a review for the DR walk-in medical service. After having a wonderful welcome and intake from your nurse(see previous 5STARREVIEW for her) — then I met you. This is SPECIFICALLY for the doctor on 5÷25÷2014 around 11AM, I think it was DR. GOLDSTEIN. You looked half-asian, maybe 5’3″ ish and somehow decided we were adversaries as you were taking my medical information. Among the things said by this doctor: * really extreme language — here I don’t remember exact working but they def included«fraud», «malpractice», and«personal liability»… as in «you are asking me to commit fraud blah blah malpractice… personal liability.» This is after she asks me what brought me in. I said wounds that are dog scratches but the deeper one could be a bite and she said, «OK, a dog bite,» as she typed into her records. I then asked if it was necessary to write that it was a DEFINITE dog bite because I wasn’t sure if it was or not — and records about dog bites can have serious consequences and I didn’t want to get that dog or dog’s owner in trouble. Cue antagostic exchanges led by this charmer. * «I can’t do my job if you are looking over my shoulder checking over what I do» — really? I thought we were having a normal conversation * «maybe you should just go to an ER» — without examining me * Big finale: «you need to leave, I’m writing down that you are a hostile patient» At some point during this interaction(between«fraud» and«hostile»), I AMINTEARS. To put this in context, I once had a seizure out of the blue and was taken to the hospital in an ambulance. No tears whatsoever, not even close even though I had horrible brain tumor scenarios going through my mind. To me, ER = unknown but possibly high expense. I have insurance, but I also am just a stressed out dog lover with over $ 7K and growing medical bills. I’m shocked to be called hostile, especially as I am trying to stop crying. Did I mention she called me hostile LOUDLY walking out the OPENDOOR that leads directly to the entire store? So much for doctor-patient confidentiality. Dear doctor who made me cry(NOONE makes me cry! Grrrr): I don’t want you to be fired. I don’t know your story. There’s probably a lot going on with you. But I would never want a friend to ever risk tangling with you — not until you’ve had much more training and supervision. I hope you get it.

A quick update — they managed to expand! Took over the corner slot to the building along with their prior space, so their selection is better, even if their staff isn’t necessarily faster or more excited about it.

This is definitely one of the smaller DR’s in the city. The aisles are almost too narrow, and the selection for some items is nowhere near as large as at other drugstores, but you’re bound to find most of what you need here. For example, I needed a replacement brush head for my toothbrush, but they only sold DR brand brush heads. However, the cashiers here are nicer than at most, and it’s never terribly crowded — probably because most people do not know about it!

It’s right around the corner from work. The usual front person is very nice.
