Decent place right across the street from the Book of Mormon. We got the burrata appetizer, followed by the burger, the tuna steak, and the key lime pie for dessert. I enjoyed all four dishes, but they were all pretty expensive for what they were — there’s no question you’re paying for convenience to some extent, and while that’s totally fair(it’s no more expensive than most of the other places in that vicinity), if it hadn’t been such as cold night, I would have been more inclined to venture out a bit and find somewhere better and/or cheaper.

«We are the the less snobby cousin to the steakhouse» is exactly true of this cool and modern laid baid grill house! The food was delicious and kelsey our server was attentive and really helpful! We had the crab cakes which were delicious! The cole slaw was amazing! For dinner we had the ribeye with mashed potatoes(i don’t think they were real but tasty) and the hanger steak with kale. We also ordered a side of mac n cheese(again delicious but coukd use a lil more seasonin) overall a great little soot for dinner before a show.

When you walk in & at first glance the place is as small as a fast food chain. We had a reservation for 730pm but showed up an hour early and they accomodated us. Even though it was a tad on the busy side, the waitress walked us to the back to another dining area which opened up pretty generously. There was even a curtain pulled to another section for a private party. The table we were seats at was 24 by 36. I measured because I’m a husky guy. I guess if you’re in New York everything is big except the hotel rooms, bathrooms and restaurant tables. None the less, we were seated and we’re approached to order within a matter of minutes. We ordered the flier mignon but I added a lobster tail and asked for the corn off the Cobb as my veggie. They accomodated again but it was a $ 2.00 upcharge. Small pennies when ordering the most succulent steak on the planet. Oh and I also had the crab cake for an appetizer the yogurt & fruit and bread pudding for dessert. When the food came, it was all cooked the way we asked. I was expecting a little more zip to the corn because it had jalapeño in it but I guess it all evaporated once grilled. I don’t know how much the bill was because I didn’t pay but I know it was much less because we didn’t order alcohol. I have it 4 out of 5 stars because of the size of the table we were seated at and how cramped the dining area felt even sitting at a table so small. I’m 6’3″ 275 and need to spread out. Thay little table made me feel I was riding in a clown car with 17 other clowns. None the less, the overall experience was wonderful. Highly recommended.

We had a great time. Food and drinks were fabulous. Manager came over and asked how everything was. Overall seating was ok. I wasn’t happy with our seating(my personal choice), with a small mention to the manager, she understood. They had the BEST Key Lime pie for desert! We certainly will go back when we are in town.

I came here to the bar after the Book of Mormon on Broadway, which is fantastic. The bar was cool. Bartender Tom was tremendous guy. He took care of us. Then all of a sudden the STARS from the a Book of Mormon showed up and started have drinks. A cool bar + the stars of the best show on Broadway = good times! If you are in the neighborhood drop by and try the margarita!

Amazing Filet Mignon(sauce was the bomb) & Grill Special($ 38). Great service. French Onion soup was really good. $ 15 wine glass seemed expensive :(

Great experience in the Theater District. Entrees were priced average that I would expect to pay at home in Northeast Pennsylvania. Service was great. We had the hanger steak which was good, the truffle fries didn’t stand up to those served at the Rustic Kitchen restaurant, but weren’t horrible. Also had the beet salad, and lobster bisque. The soup was nice portions, not your 2 oz taste tease. We had the prix fix menu and all in all was well worth it.

Had dinner here after theater and not disappointed. Food was excellent as well as service. Wine selection a little thin. Fixed price menu option was tremendous value for New York.

We walked all around NYC trying different places while we were there. This restaurant was the best hands down! They have the best steak!

Popped in here solo before catching The Book of Mormon. Nice atmosphere, pleasant. I had the bone-in ribeye which was pretty good. Mashed potatoes were tasty, but very rich. I ate them all and now regretting it. Not really a fan of the Free Dessert promotion since it’s not accepted between 4−8pm. Not a fan of late night dinner. Not sure if anyone takes advantage of this.

Our bartender was amazing. He was a tall guy with tattoos, I can’t remember his name, but he gave us great service and some of the yummiest cocktails I’ve ever had. We came before attending the Book of Mormon and had a great time. They even let you reserve a cocktail for intermission and let you use their bathrooms! Definitely a must stop :) we’ll be back!

I checked in, ordered desserts and coffees(there were 5 in our party), and showed the waitress the«Free Dessert» for checking in coupon on Unilocal and was told that we had to buy a full meal(even though that is not stated anywhere on Unilocal). I would say you need to read the fine print, but there was no fine print to read. I think the restaurant just wanted a check in. Oh well, here is your check in — with one star.

We came here for a pre-show event for Misery on Broadway thrown by production staff and crew. Great service and friendly staff. Appetizers that were passed around were tasty. Good wine selection. Very nice décor in an upscale classy but welcoming way. Walls are adorned with pictures and posters of Broadway productions with many signed by the stars themselves. More seating in the back area for larger groups and parties. Very convenient choice if in the Theatre District to see a play or musical. They even had a sign inside letting people know that you can preorder cocktails during intermission if you’re watching a Broadway show nearby and want to skip the wait and lines for the bathroom. A fun idea but not sure how it would really work when most intermissions are around 10 minutes. Didn’t have a full meal here so can’t really comment on the food. Might be worth a shot for a pre-show dinner, or post show cocktail

Great restaurant, atmosphere and vibe. A little loud for a romantic evening but it worked. Over priced but food was good. We started with the oysters which were excellent and my fiancé had the fish tacos which I liked but I had the lobster roll and I was extremely disappointed. It was very bland and came with mostly just a large plate of sweet potato fries

We didn’t have dinner, so this review is just for the bar area/drinks. I went before a show. The host was very pleasant, but I found it hard to get the attention of the people at the bar. The bartender told me the credit card machine wasn’t working in case I wanted to go somewhere else. That was considerate, but he was rather lame in all other service respects(including handing a dish of lamb chops to the lady next to me and not offering her a steak knife until after she started hacking at it with a butter knife). We were not offered a menu, snacks or refills on our soft drinks. The bar staff also seemed unable to figure out the conundrum of how to seat a very loud couple from Australia(or possibly South Africa) because there were not two chairs together. How about asking the guy across the bar to take his computer bag off a chair and the single lady next to the bag to scooch over? That might work. The food I saw served looked great. The dining room was very pleasant looking as well… It was also relatively empty, which made me very confused as to why they were refusing to seat people who just wanted a quick appetizer/supper before the show across the street. The show starts at 7… plently of time to turn a quick table before your set of 7:30 reservations.

Came for restaurant week. Biscuits were amazing but the rest of the food didn’t really live up to what I expected. The chicken was pretty good and the mashed potatoes were alright. The PBJ cheesecake was not great and was too thick. Have had much better cheesecake at many other restaurants. Overall the restaurant was a pretty good experience. Hostess and waitress were very nice. Food was just not that great, cannot imagine paying full price for some of the entrees not during restaurant week.

After posting my original review, Amanda kindly reached out to address the concerns I had regarding the service. She was extremely apologetic about the experience and invited me to stop by again. I really, really, appreciated this gesture. Reviews overall for this restaurant have rated the service as excellent, and I do believe my dinner experience may have just been an off day for the staff. Bumping my review up to 3 stars due to the attentiveness of management at E&E. Unfortunately, I didn’t find the food to be anything too particularly special, and personally will not return. But thank you, Amanda, for showing that customer service is indeed a priority at E&E! Note: I also ordered delivery once from E&E with coworkers and wow, the portions were tiny for the price. Just really not worth it when the food doesn’t dazzle me.

I really enjoyed my filet mignon and we did get the complimentary dessert for checking in so all in all, it was a good experience. Our food was taking a long time to come but the staff thankfully helped us rush our dishes out since we had a show to catch.

The location is ideal as it is located just across the way from the Gershwin theater; a couple blocks away from Time Square; and only a few blocks from Radio City Music Hall. In other words, this place is in prime walking distance if you’re looking to head to a show and grab dinner. The restaurant is relaxed and casual, but packs a punch when it comes to the food. If you’re worried about attire, don’t. You can totally get away with casual jeans and top. My favorite part about the whole place is that it is covered in old/new broadway posters that have been signed by the cast — it adds a nice touch. Also, I really appreciated that the seating was comfortable and the lighting was just right. The food was PRETTYAMAZEBALLS. My friends and I ordered a couple of things, but these were the highlights: –Mac & Cheese(SOMUCHYES… Creamy/salty/crispy and has bacon in it!!!) –Chilled Shrimp(HUGEPRAWNS with tasty dipping sauce) –Bone In Rib Eye(HUGE and perfectly tender/tasty) –Rack of Lamb(THEBESTLAMB I’VEEVERHAD — the meat is cooked to perfection and oh so juicy!) –Mashed potatoes(Just right… Light/airy/buttery… YUM) –Flourless chocolate cake(Not the best i’ve ever had, but definitely tasty with the coconut ice cream) Pros: –AMAZINGFOOD –Great Service –Good Value –SUPERB location Tips: –Make a Reservation –Free coat check –Use Unilocal check in for free dessert!

We came here pre– theater and had a lovely time. Given the location it must be said the prices are all 25% marked up, but that is to be expected. My husband had the«20 dollar» burger and it was very good but not quite worth what we paid. The salads were all fabulous, and my friend ordered the lamb and cleaned his plate. The atmosphere is pretty nice for the theatre district, most importantly we could have a conversation and actually hear ourselves; the waiter service was 5 stars.
