After a long conversation the owner explained what happened and went above and beyond to make it right. It really looks like they care about their customers to follow up and try to fix issues. Every person and business should get a second chance and I will sure give them one when I am back in NYC. Frank, I appreciate everything you have done to make this right.

This is my favorite pizza in NYC. The delivery is always on point. The pizza is amazing. The sauce is delicious. It’s not just me as a stupid SC boy. I’ve taken loads of real New Yorkers, and they always love the pizza there. You won’t be disappointed.

The buffalo pizza is outstanding and the owner truly loves his business. Greeted us right when we came in the door. Watching him make pizzas was incredible! You must try this place!

Review updated! After my negative review, I received a message from the owner saying that I should try their pizza for one last time and they’ll get my order right. I also spoke with the owner on the phone and the dedication and heart this man has for his business in unbelievable! We reordered the meatball pizza with a side order of lentil soup and meatballs. The pizza was just how we liked it, the meatballs came soaked in marinara sauce and were so juicy, the lentil soup was delicious even when cold. We killed all of it in one sitting. Will reorder again for sure. It’s so nice that I got a chance to speak with the owner and learn his passion and dedication. This is a true business!

Ordered a regular pizza. Asked for pineapple and onion on one side of the pizza(the other half plain cheese). What arrived was a pizza with pineapple on one half but what I can estimate was pretty much two whole onions on the other side of the pizza. I picked as much as I could off, some were giant chunks of onion. First time trying this place, was hoping for much better. Pineapple pizza side tasted nice but can’t vouch for the other side, it was mostly chunks of raw onion.

We stopped here for a slice after a night of bar hopping. The pizza tasted great, and given that it was nearly 3am, it was even fresh-tasting. The atmosphere isn’t anything special, but it sure does fill your tummy in a post-alcohol induced hunger moment.

Decent slice here, and not too hard on the wallet. Guys are friendly for sure. When Dan and John’s opens up on this block, I’ll have to split my time between East Village Pizza & Kebabs and Stromboli at the other end of the block when pairing pizza with Buffalo wings.

Since moving to Manhattan a year ago, there hasn’t been a more reliable or consistent pizza place as East Village Pizza & Kebabs on 9th&1st across from The Bean. Reasonably priced, no-nonsense, generously portioned, good tasting’ meat and cheese and bread, all-around, everyday! Recommendations: The garlic knots(for garlic lovers only), their margherita or lasagna slices, hamburgers(no joke — flame-grilled and filling) or the lamb/beef kebabs. If you’re going with something hot, cool it down with a yogurt Aryan drink from the fridge. It’s so much more than a pizza joint — it’s a part of the neighborhood — and that’s what makes this place rightfully named.

No NYC residency is complete without becoming emotionally attached to a local pizza joint. East Village Pizza & Kebabs, I miss you dearly and am barely a week out of the hood. I’m seeking out your new replacement as we speak. You can come in a million times and always try something new. They usually have at least 15+ speciality slices at any given time. BBQ chicken, sausage and peppers, Hawaiian– the list goes on. I know that they have Mediterranean options(gyros, kababs) but I’ve only ever tried the pizza, it’s tough not to. I usually keep it pretty classic and almost always grab a margarita slice, not heated up(it’s the movement people). This is a damn good slice– sweet and flavorful sauce with plenty of fresh mozz and basil on top. And of course, It’s not a pizzeria trip without a fountain root beer to wash it all down. Pro-Tip: They usually have a check-in offer for free garlic knots. Get them EVERY time, whether they are free or not– easily the best garlic knots out there. I’ve had knots at other pizza spots that are just lightly dusted in olive oil and garlic powder. For shame… for shame. These knots are drowning in fresh chopped garlic and parsley. Spread some of the extra garlic mixture on your slice– you won’t regret it.

never had the kebabs but the pizza was ok — not bad but i’ve had better. definitely a decent option if you are looking for a quick bite. it was a little strange to me though that pizza and kebabs go together…

There are not enough words to describe how wonderful my experience was with Frank and his staff at East Village. I placed a 1am order to feed 50 for lunch the same day and he called in staff to make sure it happened. I promise to never order last minute for a big group again but when I do need food, this is the place I’ll bring my business. Not only was Frank incredibly accommodating, his delivery guys were punctual and so friendly. The food was great and affordable. Frank even texted to follow up. I look forward to giving this family owned restaurant more of my business. Thanks guys!

Every time I get food here, the pizza is always fresh and tastes great. I think that because of the tremendous volume of customers this place has, there is a quick turnover on the pizza that sits out for display. This would explain why the pizza is always fresh, unlike many other pizza places, in which I have had the unfortunate experience of eating pizza that had sat out for hours. The price is pretty average for Manhattan, and considering the consistency, it is completely worth it. The fact that they’re open every day until 5AM is definitely another reason that I love this place, as it’s hard to find good options that late which aren’t crazy expensive. I also like the fact that the quality of the pizza you get at the store is exactly the same as the quality of that which gets delivered via Seamless. This is something that shouldn’t be taken for granted. I cannot even begin to think about how many places change their ingredients or rush their food for delivery to such an extent that it completely compromises its quality. East Village Pizza is definitely one of my favorite pizza places in the city, and I will continue to be a loyal customer for years to come.

Possibly the worst pizza in america and any place where pizza isn’t even their specialty. I ordered a large pizza and was excited and. felt like I was getting a great deal. The pricing is not bad at all, but then you understand why it is so cheap. My large pie consisted of an. over baked. crust with the least amount of cheese imaginable. What made this the worst pizza ever was they either forgot to add sauce or their budget only allows them lightly sprinkle a drop of tomato sauce per whole pizaa. Not worth it spend 5 dollars more and get a decent pizza. This experience made me and pizza’s life long relationship crumble thanks guys.

The pizza was surprisingly very good. Nothing too crazy, but definitely a great spot to grab a delicious, quick slice. A lot of people there were eating the kabobs, so it seemed like they were popular for this dish.

Always a solid choice for delivery. Garlic knots are great – super garlicky and soft. Would recommend, never disappoints.

2 slices of margherita — 1am GrubHubbin’ dream come true. I’ll be back to try the Greek salad and garlic knots. This place does a mean margherita, I highly recommend it when you’ve got the late-night cravings.

I really did love the pizza from here, the delivery was fast and they were open late. But the most recent pie I ordered from them unfortunately gave me food poisoning. I just cannot excuse poorly handled food. Sorry to say but that ruined it for me.

I was looking for a place the would be open at 10 pm on a Wednesday and it was cheap and healthy. I notice they had salads so I thought I would take a shot at their salads to see how they were. One word– AMAZING. I ordered the shepherd salad with grilled chicken. I was so fresh that they chopped everything on the spot for the order. The chicken was extremely juicy and you get a side of pita. I ordered a small and it was plenty of food for me(I would say a full portion, so I can’t imagine how big the large is). I’m definitely coming back.

I’ve never had any of their reg pies… But the whole wheat is pretty fking awesome! Ensure to request well done, chicken, pepperoni and red onion; learn about it HIJO! Probably one of the best whole wheat pies in the city. Their Black Sea pie, looks like something I had in Turkey(Bodrum) known as a pide(I’m a terrible speller). In turkey, it’s thin, with a lil meat and cheese, mad crispy and u add a lil sumac when its done, fking delicious. Haven’t tried here yet…
