This is where I’ve come to get all of my tailoring done for the past 5 years — even after moving away from the East Village. They have fantastic prices, and Mrs. Chen (who always does my tailoring) is the best — so kind and thorough. I can’t recommend this business highly enough!

I already wrote a review of this place and it is not up. They ruined a good pair of Eileen Fisher pants. The tailor cut them up so bad they couldn’t be fixed. They refused to take responsibility. Their fluid is dirty. I have a lot of clothes with white in them. A white down coat came back dirty looking. A blouse with white dots now has beige dots. The price is low but it costs too much. I hope this review stays up, because people should not bring tailoring or anything light to them.

I’ve been using this place for about 6 weeks now and haven’t had any issues. Nothing lost, broken, ruined or shrunk.
I’ve been getting my shirts washed and pressed and everything seems to be OK. We also started sending our laundry out for wash and fold to this place for the first time. Our biggest hesitation was clothes which aren’t suitable for the dryer and we’ve had a hard time finding a place willing to hang dry things for us and not charge prices comparable to the delivery of a new born child.
We’ve been sending a bag of «dryer» laundry and «hang dry» laundry here every week and I collect the hang dry articles that evening on hangers and off I go. I believe the pricing is something like $ 1 total for less than 6 articles for hanging, $ 2 for more than 6 but honestly, I don’t think they have ever bothered charging us.
The reason I didn’t give these guys a 5; No CC is a hassle and the turn around times on wash and press for shirts is slower than other places in the area (Monday drop off, Wednesday or Thursday pickup).

Skip this place. Lost my tailored cotton pants, claimed it was impossible for them to lose items given how they do laundry. Laundry was done because I needed those pants. I’m pretty sure it’s possible since I dropped them off the day before and they weren’t with the rest of my items when I came back the next day.
Turns out they are a storefront for some place that does 10 other places’ laundry. Therefore if and when they do lose an item you’re dependent on the «good will» of hundreds of other customers.
They’re convenient and fast but you get what you pay for. Nothing smells great, they leave socks loose, and when they lose an item you’re pretty much out of luck. Learned my lesson. You’ll save more money and time then trying to replace your lost clothing. Try your luck elsewhere.

Skip this place and go to J&Y on 7^th between 1^st and A. Much better cleaners.
I really like this place for a few months, though they had good service at a good price for dress shirts ($ 2/​shirt). However, after the third or fourth time that something came back with a stain I didn’t send it out with, I gave up.
They outsource all their work to other cleaners, they just are a storefront. The issue for me is that when something goes wrong, they just shrug they’re shoulders and blame the people they sent it to. Also are sort of combative about it.

The five stars is based on the fact that the owner is honest and knows his sh*t. I’m not a business man, so I don’t get dry cleaning done regularly. What I love about the owner, is that he will give you professional advice on drycleaning and alterations, regardless of getting your business. For instance, when I took a winter down filled coat, he read the care label and suggested that it wasn’t necessary, because it didn’t say ‘dry clean only’, and it looked to be artificial fill. I got a white silk blouse dry cleaned, and he had removed the black plastic buttons, bc it had stained the fabric (he was able to get the stains out), and advised that I replace the buttons for non-​plastic (hence non melting) ones. He also knows about fit, because when I try to ask for a tighter inseam, he’s like «Um, this fit is supposed to be boxy’, and low and behold, he was right, bc it looked great when I got it back. I’m sure the price here is on par to other dry cleaners around. They do dry-​cleaning, alterations, and laundry. It’s in a sleepy shady spot of East 7^th street, next to Barbara Feinman Millinery (the hat shop).
