Nice stuff! But a bit pricey. Went downstairs to the bottom level, employee did not pay any attention to the customers, was on SCRUFF application the whole time. Gave us a look over to see if we were worthy of his help and continued on his phone. We ended up buying a few items but definitley not customer friendly.

I have been a customer here for years, buying the occasional shoes, jeans, bags, shirts or underwear. Recently, I purchased two pairs of jeans, three pairs of shoes and a pair of sunglasses. Problem was, once I got home, the glasses were nowhere to be found in my bags. As I work in the area, I went in to see if they had perhaps forgot to put them in my one of my bags but they said they had not seen an extra pair anywhere. Long story short, the sales person mentioned to me that they might sell me another pair of the glasses at 50% off, which I was fine with but then the manager refused to do so, even though they wouldn’t be out financially over this. Anyway, I won’t be shopping here ever again as you can get all the same crap at a number of local shops. The customer service at EFOR is terrible.

This company is owned and/or managed by spammers. Despite never signing up for sale alerts from this store, I’ve now gotten three text messages — in all caps, mind you — alerting me to various sales going on at the establishment. This is spam: «BUY1GET1FREESALEONEFOR(INCLUDINGSUITS, TUXES), GSTAR, SCOTCH&SODA. WAREHOUSEPRICESFROM $ 19+ ONSHIRTS, TSHIRTS, SNEAKERS, SWIMWEAR, HATS, BAGS.1688THAVE»

Made me feel like a crook. One employee followed me around the entire time and did not offer his help, only his judgement. Stuff was unimpressive, though I must say the sales were nice. Tempting to try a suit on, only to notice that it was ripped. Don’t sell ripped clothing for 600 bucks, kids

Fussy and fabulous clothes. I think it’s hard to find something that fits right, or that doesn’t make me look like I’m trying too hard. It’s a little fashion forward for my «safe-at-Banana-Republic-whiteboy-ness.» I shopped here and had really terrific service — after a spell. The staff is a little chilly at first, and then warms later on, I think. Sale racks are in the basement, and so are a bunch of really cool ball caps. Just watch your step — there’s a couple funky levels.

I have returned to EFOR since the beginning. They have the best men’s clothing that fit right. I am a small slim guy and it is very hard for me to find the perfect fit, but their European cut clothing fits perfectly. They are also made of extremely good quality — to the likes of other high end brands — but are affordable. If you are looking for styles that fit right and last long — EFOR is the brand for you. I also like how they have all these other brands that complement them now — like I just bought these great Japanese demin from them. I will definetly go back often!

I’m giving this place 5 stars just for their customer service. The gentleman who helped me try on shoes was extremely helpful and friendly. They ended up not having the specific color of style shoe I was looking for, but he took the time to write down the model and style number, and directed me to another local store to see if they had it. Super nice guy, and also extremely knowledgeable in shoes. It’s so nice to see local NYC businesses with excellent customer service.

I received a gift certificate for EFOR as a present(because I’m nice and people love me). I checked out the shop and was greeted by Jason, probably one of the most emotionally-intelligent salespeople I’ve met. It’s like shopping with a trusted queer-eye buddy. Jason tells me EFOR is a family business. Their clothing line is showcased on the street level, and downstairs they have clothes by other designers. The store specializes in «fashion forward» and«european inspired» clothing which tend to be more fitted, sheerer, and less forgiving if you’ve had way too many cupcakes recently. I walked away with a nice polo shirt and a couple of board shorts which I’m very happy with. The place is not cheap, but I think the quality is totally worth it.

Pat B walks in, post coffee shop. Completely *not* in his Manhattan best, dressed in sweatpants and a hoodie at least 3 sizes too big, but still looking awesome none the less. «Let’s get this out of the way now. Clearly, I’m not stylized like you are, oh Chelsea Clothing Store workerman, so give me a whole lotta queer eye for the straight guy, because I have to dress to impress tomorrow.» CCSWM furrows brow. «Okay. But this isnt going to be easy. You have a better pair of sneakers at home, right?» I appreciate the honesty. Tell me what kind to look for, oh fashionista CCSWM. I’m trying to learn the ropes here. So I more or less play dress up for almost an hour where I come to the conclusion that if I can take off a button up over my head without ripping it, the shirt is too big. It’s taken over 25 years and several years of relationships to come to this realization, and its CCSWM that enlightens me. Interesting. We settle on a pair of jeans somewhere between what seems like yoga pants and ensuring my ankles get just enough circulation if I dont move too much. CCSWM assures me they look well on me. CCSWM #2 verifies. I’ve officially been upsold. The outfit was approved of the following night — yippie. Minus one star for not boozing me up at these prices.
