Simply put — Dr. Isaacson has improved my foot pain where 2 podiatrists and 1 PM&R doc have failed before. The difference is his patience. We’ve remade my orthotics more than once as the swelling in my feet has gone down and I haven’t had to pay a single penny — nor did he ever seem offput or annoyed by my requests. He has been kind, patient, and helpful in every interaction. His staff is courteous, professional, and caring, and I’ve never had to wait more than 5 – 10 minutes (if at all). Overall, he is a doctor I trust and who has made a meaningful impact on my quality of life.

Dr. Isaacson’s bedside manner is absolutely stupendous. He listens and is no where near dismissive. He makes sure I as a patient understand to the best of my ability – That’s something I appreciate to the tenth degree.
Visiting his office is always such a pleasant experience. His receptionist is phenomenal and the office is always clean – A modern and vibrant place that definitely oozes with great energy.
He performed surgery on my feet three weeks ago – Fixing a mess of a job another podiatrist left. I’m still healing, but my feet already look ten times better. His eye is tasteful and his hands are skillful.
Dr. Isaacson is definitely one of my favorite doctors. His energy is calm, collected, and positive. He definitely takes pride in what he does and strives to achieve the best possible results for any case.
I would recommend him in a heartbeat.

I have to say, i was pretty skeptical walking into the office for the consultation but after spending some time and speaking with the doctor and staff i felt amazingly comfortable.
The office is immaculately clean and all the staff where so professional. Front desk was more then accommodating and very professional.
I have been battling a reoccurring corn on my small toe for years now, getting it scrapped off and then with in weeks it comes back… that’s when I decided I needed to see another podiatrist.
I found Dr. Isaacson on Unilocal and he explained that this will continue to happen as an old fracture caused my bone to be out of whack and as long as that bone wasn’t corrected then the corn would continue to come back.
He suggested cutting off a small piece of bone, which we did about a week ago.
I’m so glad I did this, I can finally play ball, run with my kids, workout or do whatever (and hopefully the corn will never return)…once the rest of the swelling goes down of course.
This doctor is far from greedy and gives you his utmost honest opinion.
Oh and one more thing – way too many doctors try too hard at being funny but this doctor is just a natural comedian… he hilarious!

Nice doctor.
Not the friendliest front desk staff, they gave me attitude when they showed up late to work and I’m waiting outside the office. (People have to go to work to you know!)
The deal breaker is the orthodics that I never got four months and hundreds of dollars after I initially came in for my first appointment and molding. I had to trek over on five separate occasions to only be disappointed that the orthodics were incorrect (too short, too narrow, no built-​in arch, etc. etc.). It was an issue with their orthodics lab, but at the end of the day they are part of the team and I was very let down.
4 months after my initial visit I just cancelled the orthodics, went to a new doctor (and paid for a whole new visit to achieve the same thing) all to finally get new and correct orthodics.
Such a painful experience and not nice front-​desk staff just rubs the salt in further.

Wow! This guy is great. I had an appointment this morning. I was early, but I did not have to wait. The lady at the front desk was really nice.
Dr Isaacson was super knowledgable, nice, and funny! He immediately knew what was wrong with my foot by asking a few questions. I got my cortisone injection and a mold of my feet for orthodics and I was on my way. I highly recommend him. He definitely deserves the 5 stars!

I found him online and traveled from Maryland to have my bunions and several hammer toes repaired.
I had my right foot done, and my left foot two weeks later. Dr. Isaacson and his staff with extra cream really professional.
I travel because I wanted my incision on the side and could not find a doctor in my area who would do this. I asked scission is minimal scarring and healing went great with me by sending me to a doctor in my own area since I did not want to travel for the second follow-​up. Dr Isaacson himself caught me the evening of my surgery to be sure I was feeling better.
I would absolutely recommend him to everyone!!!

I went to this Podiatrist for the first time on Monday and I was very impressed by the friendly and helpful atmosphere. I booked my appointment through ZocDoc (highly recommend) and the website sent my medical history to the office so I didn’t need to fill out any paperwork when I arrived.
I have been dealing with Achilles pain since I ran the NYC Half marathon last March and Dr. Isaacson understood exactly what I was I going through because he is a runner himself. I showed him exactly where I have pain and he advised I would benefit greatly from personally made insoles, but he charges close to $ 400 to make them. Luckily for me, I had $ 400 left on my flexible spending card that I needed to use before the end of the year so this was a perfect way to spend the money! Dr. Isaacson made impressions of my feet (only took about 5 minutes) and told me my orthotics would be ready in 2 – 3 weeks. He gave me a free brace to wear while running in the meantime and so far the brace has felt great. I’m very excited to see how it feels to run in orthotics, I’m hoping they help me remain injury free during my training for the 2015 NYC half.
I was also pleasantly surprised by how quickly I was seen. My appointment was at 1:30PM and I was out of there before 2PM, perfect for anyone scheduling a visit during their lunch break!

I have been seeing Dr. Isaacson for a few months now and just had surgery on my foot last week. Let me say that this physician, his clinical staff and his surgical staff are the best in the industry. Not only is he an extremely capable physician/​surgeon, he made me feel at ease from the first moment. My surgery was amazingly successful, pain was at a minimum, care and attention top notch, healing better than I expected, I could go on and on. I hope I don’t jinx myself as I’m going in for my second next month, but I really just had to take the time to commend him for his work. I assume you are reading this page because you seek a podiatrist — good news! You found one. He is the best physician I have been to (regardless of specialization), bar none. Cheers to Dr. Isaacson and his staff!

I have been dealing with a recurring ingrown toenail for the past year or so. I was seeing another podiatrist who told me there was no way to fix it once and for all. When it came back a fourth time I went to Dr Isaacson and he told me he could easily fix it so it would not return. I am so happy that I went to him and not back to the previous doctor who was just making money off me. He and his staff are extremely nice and patient. I would recommend him to anyone needing a podiatrist.

Forget other podiatrists — I’ve seen several — just go to Dr. Isaacson.
I had ingrown toe nails on both feet. The pain was so intense I could barely walk. Dr. Isaacson took care of it in one session, and now, 9 years later, my toenails are still straight and perfect. No pain whatsoever.
I came back to him for orthotics and a foot injury later, and he took care of everything right away. Additionally he is a very kind individual with excellent bed side manners.
Highly recommended!

Had moderate to severe bunion removed surgically by Dr. Isaacson 10 days ago. He is unbelievable. I am walking without any assistance. I had absolutely 0 pain. Foot felt like it was asleep for the first 2 days (nerve block I assume) and on third day I woke up without any sensation of foot being asleep and without an ounce of pain. I found Dr. Isaacson based upon these reviews so I feel I must add to his excellent reputation. All those with other doctors complaining about being out of work and off their feet for weeks and week are with the wrong Doctor! I am going to have other foot done in a week or so. Can’t say enough about Dr. I.

I visited Dr. Isaacson based on Unilocal reviews and was incredibly happy with my decision. He and his entire staff are so welcoming and very kind, I got an appointment as a new patient fairly quickly. Dr. Isaacson speedily helped me with my problem and I won’t hesitate to come back to him in the future. Call him up — he’s awesome and will fix you right up!

I’m incredibly pleased with Dr. Isaacson and his staff. A few weeks back I dropped a metal bracket on my foot that resulted in 5 big stitches (I’ll spare the gory pictures). After my ER trip, I learned that the attending podiatrist at Methodist Hospital wouldn’t take my insurance for the follow up, so I started to look elsewhere.
I chose Dr. I based on his proximity to my office and his good Unilocal reviews, and he definitely fit the description. He helped me work through my insurance (no small task unfortunately!!), took out my stitches, and gave me great running advice to get back on track with my marathon training.
While I hope not to have more foot issues to deal with, at least I where to go if I do.

Dr Isaacson is a pleasure to have as a podiatrist. Right from the start I felt I could trust him. Over the years I’d been to see other podiatrists regarding my bunion, hammer toe, foot pain. I never felt comfortable enough with any of them for treatment. With Dr Isaacson, I made an appointment for surgery at our first meeting.
Dr Isaacson’s staff is excellent — professional, friendly and right on top of insurance requirements. If you contact this office with a concern someone will respond in a timely manner.
My foot surgery went like clockwork. And my healing is going exactly as Dr Isaacson described.

I asked my doctor for a recommendation for a podiatrist, and she emailed me Dr. Isaacson’s information. Since then, I’ve seen him regularly to treat on ongoing issue, and I couldn’t be happier.
Dr. Isaacson is very friendly and easy to chat with. His treatments are thorough and he will offer different treatments, as necessary. The office staff is incredibly friendly, which is sometimes unusual in a doctor’s office. The wait to see the doctor is usually very short, when there is one at all, but I tend to take the first appointment of the day.
The one problem I’ve ever had is what seems to be a problem with the office’s calendars syncinc with ZocDoc’s calendars. Occasionally the office has had to reschedule my appointment because there isn’t an opening at the time that ZocDoc said that there was. Not a major problem, but just something to keep in mind if you use ZocDoc to make appointments. Scheduling directly with the office is easy to do, if you’re able to.
All in all, if you’re looking for a great midtown podiatrist, I’d definitely suggest Dr. Isaacson!

So far, so good with Dr. Isaacson. I had a long-​standing foot issue, which I finally got checked out, and he was able to identify/​isolate the pain — and guide me on the right path toward a solution (hopefully).
He has a pleasant demeanor. Answered all my questions. And just seemed all around pretty nice. Good staff too, by the way.
Lastly, I was 7 minutes late for my appointment. But I have got to dock the good doctor 1 star on this rating because although I was 7 minutes late, he made me wait 45 minutes before I got in to see him. I understand that he had a lot of new patients that day, and I was late; but I just still feel that this is too long to wait at a doctors office.

I had a gradually increasing pain in the arch of my foot that reached the point where I was almost unable to walk. I did some research on ZocDoc and Unilocal for podiatrists and Dr. Isaacson’s many 5 start ratings were the first indication this was a doctor making a positive impression on patients. Something I always try to look for.
From the moment I arrived at this practice, the staff was welcoming and polite — a pleasant break from the «business only» I’ve become accustomed to at some other medical practices. The doctor took plenty of time to examine me and, using an ultrasound to look inside my foot, showed me exactly where the problem was: I had ruptured my plantar fascia, apparently a pretty common injury.
The treatment was a cortisone injection that was quite painless. The best way to describe it? It was less painful than getting a novacaine injection at the dentist. Much less.
And now, only 24 hours later, the pain is abating. I expect that the pain will be gone by tomorrow and I’ll be able to return to work. Overall, I’m very pleased with Dr. Isaacson’s treatment (and his office staff) and grateful for his kind approach. Doctors like this are the rarity these days. Especially in NYC.

Dr. Isaacson was extremely helpful in addressing my concerns and providing me with the information I needed. He has great bedside manners and was very pleasant during my visit. His staff is just as welcoming and pleasant to deal with — not just to me, but every patient that was there.

I had concerns regarding the index toe on my right foot. I arrived for the first time visit with the assurance that any worries I had would disappear when I arrived. Dr. Issacson proved to be a very caring, knowledgeable expert in his field. I’m given a set of options that, I believe, will treat the situation and I couldn’t ask for a better practitioner.
