The foods pretty good. I love their fries and burgers. They have good drinks too. I love the atmosphere, that’s why my friends and I go there the most. Love playing all the board games.

Wow. I love the vibe in this place. They only play music from 1960 – 1999 and don’t allow kids after 6 p.m. The food was surprising amazing. Definitely get the burger and the cup o’ crisp green beans. They offer board games to borrow so people actually don’t spend the entire evening looking at their phones.

Looking for a cool spot to grab a table with friends and grab some drinks and play some board games this is the spot in the UWS! Perfect for day drinking or if with your with a group. Not in the mood to stand in a crowd with loud music then this is the place for you. This spot is good for socializing and having fun. I can’t forget about the food, for a bar the food was delicious! Cant beat quality bar food. The fries were incredible and I had these bbq bao buns which were great and solid nachos too. Def a fun place!

What a great local bar(and I’m not just saying that because my initials are EEE and this bar really feels like it belongs to me.) Chill, friendly vibe with plenty of seating indoors and out. Wide selection of games and a good beer selection. Incredible, CHEAP burgers during happy hour — seriously one of the best I’ve had in the city! My only complaint is that the hours are a bit limiting — what if i want to day drink early? But hopefully they’ll open earlier as they get more established.

Love this place. It’s a bar where you can chill out with friends with the ability to play(100+) awesome board games, take a first date and impress them or just go to after work for some great music or to watch a game. The food is also light years above and beyond typical bar fare in quality — you can’t go wrong with the margarita pizza, shrimp skewers or cheddar balls. The drinks are poured with a heavy hand and the staff is super friendly. So happy to have a bar fit for someone in their 30’s

Really a fan of this place! The happy hour deals are great($ 6 beers) and the ambience rocks. It has a great dive-y vibe and lots of different board games to play. A great place to go with big groups!

As someone who used to hang in the Upper West Side on fairly regular basis(I dated someone who lived there), I feel cheated that E’s Bar came into existence just two years ago, several years after that relationship(and reason for being in the Upper West Side) came to an end. It just might be the best bar for people like myself within miles in any direction. Erin and Ethan of E’s found a hole in the market for bars in this neck of the woods. Littered with college bars and uninspired dives, their goal was to create an environment that captured the spirit of the deceased CBGBs. With rock stickers littered throughout the walls, murals that pay homage to ‘70s and ‘80s LES, and even some tagging from the same guy who designed all the Beastie Boy’s graffiti album covers, it’s a little slice of downtown way uptown. They have over 150 board games to play while you catch up with friends, well priced house cocktails, elevated pub grub, and plenty of fun nights(trivia, DJ nights, etc…) to keep you occupied. If you live in the ‘hood and haven’t been, you need to become familiar. It’ll likely become your new favorite hang.

This bar serves quite well its main purpose of handling overflow from Jacob’s Pickles– and then some. We were here for about 45 minutes last Saturday, hanging out in a comfortable booth while waiting for a JP table to open up, and enjoying some drinks and bites as appetizers. I thought their prices were a bit random — $ 7 – 9 for a beer but only $ 10 for a cocktail? Strange, but I wanted a cocktail anyway, so it actually worked out pretty well for me. I had to try the Honey Nut Old Fashioned(peanut-infused bourbon, honey, bitters), which I thought was wonderful. How could one not love a liquid, alcoholic honey nut cheerio? We also put in one order each of regular and spicy fries, which both came with ketchup. The spicy fries were so very spicy, they were numbing my tongue and I could no longer taste my old fashioned properly, but they were also tasty, so I just ate more after finishing my drink. For $ 5, the amount of fries was pretty substantial. We halfheartedly attempted to play Cards Against Humanity. We didn’t actually end up playing as we were too busy catching up, but I love that games are there should anyone want them. This should be, like, a standard bar thing.

I worked with Erin from E’s Bar to host a trivia night for a fundraising event that Solving Kids’ Cancer was hosting. From the gecko, Erin was extremely nice, responsive, accommodating, and supportive with everything we were seeking to do. She answered every question I had and provided a great advice that helped us pull off a great event. She was truly a pleasure to work with! Everyone at E’s Bar, especially Mark and Shawn, were great, super fun and easy to work with– and this goes a long way when trying to organize an event! Everyone loved the food and drinks but above all, found it very cool that they had numerous games stored in the venue. Almost every table had a game set up which added on to the excitement that is necessary when hosting these types of events. I recommend E’s Bar to anyone looking to host an event or just looking to have some fun. Looking forward to future events at E’s Bar!

We did not have the food at E’s bar, however we really enjoyed it for the drinks and the atmosphere. The music selection was great, mainly thanks to a CD jukebox that was loaded with a fabulous selection of songs. The Unilocal check-in offer for a free 2nd round was great as well! I thought it was really cool that they had all of the board games available, and Cards Against Humanity! The food I saw looked very good, and I want to try it next time I come here. This is a solid 4 out of 5 stars.

I was looking for a different kind of bar to bring my friend to who is visiting from Miami. We wanted a chill spot with a hip vibe and some good snacks. We were not disappointed and I must add that the Unilocal check in deal of buy one get one didn’t hurt one bit! I had the falafel burger and spicy fries. When they say spicy they mean it! I’m a spicy food lover but these were just too spicy for my belly although I have to say the cajun seasoning, fresh basil, chopped peppers, and diced scallion made it hard to stop eating them and I am certainly paying for it today! The falafel burger had fresh chickpeas inside and a creamy aioli sauce that helped balance out the spice from the fries. The $ 12 meal certainly brought more than I can chew and was so good I nearly ate every bite. I had the Ommegang Witte beer, one of my favorites, and a reasonable $ 8 pint glass, due to its light and creamy taste, very refreshing and highly recommended if having the spicy fries! I made the mistake of having a shot of the homemade cinnamon whiskey since they didn’t have Fireball, I certainly regret it, just WAY too strong for me and a pretty gross aftertaste. The BESTPART were the games. I had never played Cards Against Humanity and had the time of my life doing so, to the point I must get the game to have at home. I also rocked my friend winning 7 hands of Dominoes(what can I say I am Dominican-dusting shoulders off), but would love if they got the regular set, this set included double the amount and too many for my calculation skills. There was also some truth or dare Jenga(invented by E’s bar) that a couple was playing which seemed really fun. Definitely a great hangout spot for a weekday/weekend evening either with friends or a date. Will come back again someday soon!

I would say this is the perfect combination of a dive crossed with a trendy bar. It’s super laid back and perfect to go with a group of friends to take advantage of the unlimited number of game options that are scattered throughout the bar. They have a pretty good range of drinks from draught to bottled beer options and basic well drinks to specialty cocktails. The food is also pretty good(the jambalaya balls are a MUST try). The best part is that you don’t need to be seated at a table to order. If you order at the bar or with a server, you’re given a CD on a stand with a number, and once your food is ready they will find you regardless of where you wander throughout the bar. In order to avoid a crowd at the bar, they even have huge water canisters with cups so you can serve your own water as often as you please, which is pretty cool. You can tell they really took into consideration the customer experience and enhanced it far better than any of the other bars in the area. Oh — they host events too!

I came here on a Tuesday for happy hour with some friends and we had a great time! There was some sort of event in the front room, so we went into the back and snagged a booth — then realized they were doing trivia! The host was British and funny and the questions were actually really hard, but we pulled out a 2nd place win for a $ 20 bar tab! We ordered a bunch of food — the cheese balls(OMGSOGOOD), a Ceasar salad, a few of us got burgers, one got a falafel burger, chips and guac. Everyone enjoyed their food and had no complaints. To order from a table, you have to download their app, and you can order food and drinks and pay through the app. That was pretty cool, and easy for one person to just pick up the tab and then figure out what everyone owes later. Overall I really like the vibe of this place — casual and fun. I will definitely be back! Oh and they have board games — in case you haven’t read that in any of the other 100 reviews :)

I was pleasantly surprised with E’s bar! I came here on a Tuesday night for a work-related Happy Hour event. The staff is SO friendly and accommodating and the bar itself is awesome. It’s a bar, it’s a restaurant, and… THEYHAVETRIVIAANDBOARDGAMES. Wins all around! I should’ve known this would be a good spot considering how packed it was for a Tuesday night, I didn’t realize people actually go all out in the middle of the week but surprise surprise, Upper West Side residents! My only criticism is that the«happy» hour drink specials aren’t so «happy,» but I guess the ambiance makes up for it.

Oh yea, they do have good burgers and beer, but… I come to this bar for one reason and one reason only… I want their balls in my mouth. I want to be dipping their balls and slurping the sharp cheddar, and finger wiping my chin afterward. I can get several orders of these NY Sharp Cheddar balls @10 bucks an order for five balls. And still always feel sorry for that one oddball. I’ll save you… I am no superhero, but I want all the balls. There could be only one…

Cool-looking spot, with lots of board games available. Not many seats, but I liked their booths upstairs. Drafts selection is not impressive, but still decent. Personable service. I could totally go back. It does get loud later in the evening(young crowd), so plan accordingly.

Great *newish* bar located on the Upper West Side. I visited last night with a friend and it was great. Nice lively atmosphere, good beer selections, great cocktails(sangria was perfect) and music was cool. I love the décor and lighting of the place. I challenge you to try to find the bathroom doors! Pretty tricky but unique. Their happy hour changes daily so be sure to check the site. However, whatever daily special they have goes all night on that particular day. The Friday night special is $ 7 for a beer and shot. Other nights they have sangria specials and other deals. I’m glad I found this bar. It was fun and the bartenders were extra friendly and attentive. I’ll come back and bring friends. FYI, my friend had the burger and she said it was delish! Def come here for a chill, fun and low-key night.
