This is the worst place I’ve been in NY! The coffee is tasteless and the cheesecake tastes like tap water.

I had their Cuban sandwich, which was alight. The bread was good, but there was very little meat in it. Service was super fast, though, and the staff were all very friendly. The main reason I would not return to this place is the bathroom, which was DISGUSTING. It was narrow, smelly and there were pieces of toilet paper all over the floor.

1 star for the fast service. Other than that, PASS! Ordered the mozzarella pesto melt, which looked good on display, but was truly disappointing. Just like most of the earlier reviews, the sandwich was flavorless, and, they are veryy skimpy with everything. There was just enough mozzarella and pesto to see on display, but the other 2⁄3 of the sandwich had none at all. Also, two tiny slices of tomato. I also cannot stress enough how much weak customer service irritates me. It’s not that difficult, as an employee, to greet & thank a customer. Shouldn’t be the other way around. Please learn to do your job well. Take your business somewhere else y’all.

probably the worst breakfast sandwich i’ve ever had. Not only did they BUTCHER my order(turkey bacon egg & cheese on a plain toasted bagel which turned out to be REGULARBACON little cheese/egg on an ENGLISHMUFFIN) but they flat out skimp on cheese & egg. THEN they charge you $ 6 dollar for a small breakfast sandwich like WHAT. I highly recommend hitting up ANYOTHERPLACE.(if i could i wouldn’t give them a star)

Das war nicht wirklich was. Das Essen war sehr lieb– und geschmacklos. Pasta und Pizza schmeckten nach gar nichts. Ansonsten Auswahl gut.

Been here a few times and the prices always kinda suck for the portions. Finally got to try the famous lentil soup. It looked like it had minestrone pieces in it and tasted suspiciously like somebody had taken lenil soup and minestrone soup and just mixed them together. Unfortunately it also took on the watery appearance of the minestrone. It was alright. $ 5.25 for a large The sandwiches here sound great on paper but taste a bit bland. They really skimp on the good stuff like meat and sauces. $ 8.25 for the pre-made ones on display. During the egg shortage, they were the only place in the area to jack up prices by a whole dollar for everything egg related Everything is just underwhelming and you’re WAY better off going to a non-chain deli next around the corner. Definitely catered to tourists

From bagels to sweets and sandwiches, europa café has them. Staff are friendly and engaging. Bagels are classic/traditional — chewy. You can find healthy or decadent — you make the decision. Clean, efficient, bright space… not cozy with brown leather chairs… but also not the crowds.

This Europa Café provided me the worst of all customer service experiences I can remember. Like at all other Europa Cafes the food and coffee are mediocre at best, and their pasta dishes and breakfast sandwiches are disgusting. The absolute worst thing about this particular shiny dump is their dreadful service. The seemingly euro trash staff carries on endless conversation with each other behind the counter paying no attention to the customers. When you try to get their attention, they treat you like you’re an annoyance. I’ve tried it twice and had the same experience. Others I know have said the same. If you’re looking for a great breakfast sandwich, I recommend going across the street to BV burgers(a hidden outlet in the rear of Bobby Vans steakhouse on 45th st) As far as Europa cafes go, this is truly the worst I’ve been to.

I enjoy their assortment of foods. Most of all their pastries. I have a weakness for sweets. If you also have a sweet tooth then you’ll enjoy their variety.

Food was good. Sweets quite yummy. Guys making food were awesome — very nice, considerate, conscientious of wait times. Thing that impressed me most, though was the guy who chased my sister and I around the corner for a block because they forgot to put my cannolis in the bag with the eight other desserts!

Disgusting pasta. Beyond gross. Staff don’t give a crap. They only care about making money than producing decent EDIBLE food. Good location, but that’s the only positive thing about this place.

This place is great, but is really pricey. I only come here when I have enough to splurge lol. I don’t come often because I bring my own lunch everyday because of these crazy city/tourist prices. I admit, that their flatbread sandwiches are THEBOMB!!! I have tried a few of them. The Cuban is to die for! This is actually the 2nd time ive been here in 2 wks. Also, they make things fresh. Some of the salads are also ready made so you can pick it up to go. Dining in is also good. The place is always clean. The service is quick. They definitely have healthier choices. I do recommend to others.

I thought this place was really delicious. I had the kimchi bowl with quinoa. Yum! Not exactly the New York food you want, but good for a quick breakfast. The employees were cool. Didn’t have any of the deserts but they looked good. Place was clean and fresh.

The soup is perfect. Had lentil today. It’s great that they have a few vegetarian and vegan options! Iced tea was a little watered down and the lemon slices were kinda pathetic. The soups are reliable though. And it’s convenient.

Listen, I get it – Europa is a chain. I’m not asking for the best customer service ever, nor the best food ever. But if the cash register is ringing up every coffee order without looking at who’s positioned where in line, it makes for chaos. Some people order breakfast without coffee(unusual for me, but it happens every so often). We have a right to be rung up when it’s our turn in line. … and to the cash register person — don’t give me the«why the hell are you awkwardly holding up the line» face and mutter not-so-pleasant things about me in Spanish.(1) I’m there because you keep shunting me to the side as you ring up the coffee order-ers, and(2) I understand Spanish. Hoping this is just a bad day for Europa & I. I mean, it’s the closest place to the office and the weather is making a turn for the worst…

$ 5 for bacon egg and cheese on a roll. Their competitor is the cart outside that sells the same product for $ 3. Say what you will about street food, but at least it’s warm! I should have been warned when I saw the pre-cooked bacon sitting in a room-temp pile. But with a pile that size, I expected to at least receive a decent amount of bacon — disappointed there as well. The roll entirely overpowered the sandwich’s scarce contents. What’s keeping this above a single star is the pleasant appearance of the space and the breadth of the selection. I sense that there’s something worth eating here — I just didn’t order it.

Typical in-and-out breakfast/lunch/snack/coffee café. The café offers a wide variety of items — from quinoa bowls to breakfast sandwiches. I would normally get the Thai quinoa bowl with peanut sauce for lunch on days when I’m too lazy to pack my own. They also cater to allergy and dietary restrictions(as I generally eat vegan or vegetarian myself). My rating isn’t as high, because like I said it’s a typical café that could be found throughout NYC. My coworkers and I work in the same building that the café is located so it is more of a convenience for us. However, I do enjoy that they offer quinoa bowls here which is hard to find at every café(since it is a major staple in my foodie world). A café would not be complete without the coffee of course! Being nationally trained myself as a coffee master through various organizations, I can say that I actually enjoy their iced coffee(which is rare for me!). I believe it is a general Colombian blend since I can taste the juicy notes accompanied by a fruity/acidic flavor. I usually grab an iced coffee here in the morning when I’m too lazy to make French press the night before. As you can notice, I generally use this café when I’m too lazy to make my own food/coffee haha! All in all, I would recommend this café for a quick pit stop for people who are indecisive about what they want to eat. I also forgot to mention they have NOCREDITCARDMINIMUMS. This is huge for me as I normally do not carry enough cash on hand(I should probably change that…). P. S. I am currently drinking one of their iced coffees while reviewing this place — black iced coffee of course!

I love Europa Café! I was in the area and I needed a quick bite to eat. I wanted something inexpensive so I stopped in Europa Café. I ordered the create your own pasta. It was delicious! The young man working the pasta station was very friendly and asked how I liked my pasta cooked. The young woman working the register was pleasant and asked if I wanted a drink or dessert.

they make very consistent panini sandwiches. They are larger than the ones that you typically find at any deli, but they are priced at around $ 9 a piece. I have always liked that they serve the sandwiches with a sauce on the side. They also have a pasta and quinoa station if you are into that. Some of the stuff is pretty pricey, eg, the breakfast bread which is $ 3.50 a slice, even at lunch time. I’d probably stick to the basics here.

Came by for breakfast the other day and the experience was okay. Ordered the #1 with 2 eggs over-easy, sausage, potatoes, and toast for $ 5.99. Sausage was pretty basic… similar to McDonald’s and both the eggs, potatoes, and toast were also basic. The latte was okay, better than Starbucks. All in all, an okay place for breakfast for ~$ 10.

Since Chop’t was closed we headed over to Europa Café with low expectations. They were warranted. The Bad: 1. The place was empty and yet a salad and a quinoa bowl took FOREVER. Not sure why there was so much confusion? 2. Food didn’t look too fresh(my husband, who will pretty much eat anything fast food made this point, if that tells you anything). 3. The highly advertised quinoa bowl had a very strange burned taste to it and had zero flavor. I doused it in mustard to make it palatable. The Good: The restaurant seems clean. Until you go into the bathroom. Don’t do that. Bottom Line: I won’t be returning for any reason. Ever.
