Eve’s Garden

To begin with, the visit was great because it was an honour to visit such an institution! It’s a little tricky to find given it’s so secluded, but once inside, it’s a nice little place, and the staff seemed incredibly knowledge and friendly.
There is a large selection of toys available, but the stock is certainly more mainstream than niche on the whole… However, the quality of the goods seemed to be very high, and there were some interesting new products I’d never seen before, which the lady on the till demonstrated with a great amount of insight.
Good place. Pricey, but full of good quality items, and very nice atmosphere for an adult shop.

As a frequent visitor to shops such as these and not just in NYC, I have to say that this one is close to perfect when it comes to the quality of the products, the layout of the product placement throughout the store for ease of accessibility, and the vast knowledge of said products from the staff. I liked that they only carried the top best brands in the, what the store staff called, «women’s accessories» area for this industry.
Price wise is comparable to all the places that sell the same products down in the village, so I have no idea what the nay sayer people are complaining about. The big difference here is that it’s not a seedy blacked out windowed storefront or a storefront with whips, chains and fetish ware intimidately displayed. The space is in a nice doormanned building, once you wall in the unassuming door it is nicely lit, inviting and welcoming. Totally making it possible to women to shop alone and ask how a product works without feeling embarrassed or timid.
They also offer classes and workshops so you can bring your friends, throw a party and learn a new thing or two with a nice glass of wine :) Totally looking forward to my next visit very soon.

Private and descrete in a nice building/​condo ironically next to a church. Lady working there was extremely knowledgable and helpful. They have been in business over 40 years so they obviously are doing something right.
Yes they ar expensive but very top shelf stuff and done in a classy way. We used a Groupon which gave us $ 90 credit for $ 40 which made it reasonable. Definately buy a Groupon first.

Okay, I don’t know WHAT store everyone below me seems to have visited, but it surely cannot be the Eve’s Garden on 57^th that I visited today.
The prices are RIDICULOUSLY high– as in, items that you can find elsewhere for a matter of a few bucks are jacked up to $ 50+ at this store. As someone who has visited very similar stores (IE Spencers and Babeland) I would discourage anyone living on a budget from visiting this store. I stopped by today out of convenience but will surely never visit again. I guarantee all readers that you can find the same (if not incredibly similar) items sold here in other stores for significantly cheaper. The only reason I gave this location 2 stars was because the two women working there were very sweet and knowledgeable. All in all, the prices don’t make any sense for the quality of the products they sell.
BEST: Women working there– very friendly and knowledgeable.
WORST: WAY WAY WAY too expensive and limited variety of toys.

I went there today with a few of my female friends. This place is definitely geared towards women, and it doesn’t feel sleazy at all. Going in it feels weird that it’s in an office building, but once you’re inside it’s nice since it feels private.
Everything is high quality and there is also good selection of books and some instructional videos. However, because they only carry the highest quality items, there isn’t a lot by way of cheaper toys. As someone on a limited budget, it would have been nice to have a few less expensive options. A fair portion of the items didn’t have displayed prices, which was a little frustrating. However, this place was definitely clean and felt classy, and I would definitely recommend it to a friend. It has a good selection of vibrators for the more experienced and has a good feel that won’t scare off anyone who’s never been to that sort of store. There are also display models of most of the vibrators and they have batteries in them, which is nice if you want to feel how powerful something is before buying it.
