I stopped in on my way home for guacamole ingredients. The avocados were extremely squishy, dark colored and were bad. I figured I just came too late in the day(5:30pm). I picked up some packaged guacamole for $ 6-$ 7. I’m not hard to please when it comes to guac, I’m happy if its just mashed avocados! But something was off about this one. It had a burn to it. It wasn’t a spicy burn it was more like a battery to tongue type feel. Very unpleasant. It also had no other taste, very bland. It didn’t even have a smell. The texture was nice though, almost whipped. It was a big let down, everything else looked so great and delicious.

Excellent produce located in the Grand Central Market. I often stop here to get a fruit salad for a work. Costs more but tastes fresher so I come back again and again.

I really like the variety of produce they have here. Everything is super fresh. The price is a little steep but it is Manhattan and you do get what you pay for. The location is just super convenient for me when I travel into the city.

Two avocados, a bunch of cilantro, two limes and a tomato. $ 20. Really? Most expensive goddamn guacamole I’ve ever made. I’m all for paying extra for quality ingredients, but the thing is… I’m not entirely sure the quality was all that impressive. Bonus points for convenience, because they had ripe avocados and no line.
