LOVELOVELOVELOVE this place. Never really liked macaroons before I tried the ones here. They are sweet treat perfection. They also come in 2 sizes, the regular size I have always known and the massive. Both delicious… in.every.single.flavor! Pistachio, chocolate caramel, vanilla, hazelnut… try them all! You won’t regret it! Don’t think the macaroons are the only treats to rave about. I’m also really partial to the chocolate mousse cake here. My mom races about the pistachio éclair but to be honest, she has never shared it. I guess it’s THAT good! The wait staff is phenomenal. Friendly, funny and always able to give a fair recommendation. Thumbs up to this gem of a dessert heaven! Price point… I don’t know what people are complaining about. These are exquisitely made, delicious, designer desserts in the financial district. Pony up or get out cheapskates!!!

Great place to have lunch and a variety of options, salads and baguettes, macarons for a nice desert!

Had a café au lait and a flan berries compot. I asked the worker where the berries were and he replied that they were in the flan, not on it. Guess what… no berries anywhere. That and the café au lait that tasted a little like dishwater would give me a non-recommendation for this place. Go to Starbucks across the street for better coffee. Only because the bathroom was clean will I give it a three star rating.

I love the staff here now and I think they do a great job, but the«business owner»(i.e., ALice Stringer a.k.a Emily D) who responded to a negative review I posted about the shop shutting down their espresso machine *45 minutes* before closing was dishonest — hence the 3 stars. The coffee shop was still open as it always is until 8:00pm Monday-Friday(this was a Friday) — I know because I was standing in it with other customers. It is both a blatant lie that this location EVER started closing early at 7pm. Twisting my complaint about shutting down the espresso machine early — itself not such a huge deal — truly bespeaks this business owner’s character. Unlike Alice Stringer/Emily D, the early morning staff at this coffee shop is stellar. You couldn’t ask for faster service or nicer baristas. So early morning staff — you are AWESOME. All of you. But your owner? Kinda scummy. (See Alice Stringer/Emily D’s LYING-A*** comment below. She repeated it after I posted this second review — no, seriously. I confirmed with this location’s staff this morning that her claim is a BLATANTLIE as well as photographed the store hours clearly printed on the entrance. Neither literacy nor ethics come easy to this business owner, apparently.)

I have been here twice now. The first time I got the Croque Monsieur for lunch and a raspberry macaron for dessert. Today I got a coffee to go and 2 macarons(vanilla and coconut passion). The sandwich I got the first time wasn’t great. Usually Croque Monsieurs are broiled with bubbly cheese on top. Mine had melted cheese that ended up making the bread a soggy mess. The flavors weren’t bad, but it wasn’t a great sandwich. It came with a salad, which was just ok. The raspberry macaron wasn’t very good. I’ve bought better tasting macarons at Costco. The macarons are huge, making the $ 3 price point reasonable, but if the quality isn’t there, then it’s just not worth it. The coffee I got today is pretty decent. I wanted to give the macarons another chance since they get pretty decent reviews. I tried the vanilla(saving the other for later) and the cookie part is very dense. Not horrible, but again the Costco macarons are better.

Bad customer service, the staff was sweeping the carpet and asked the customer not to step on it. Order a cake for someone’s birthday. Paid in full. When I came to pick it up. They said they don’t have the cake for me. They offerred to give me back a refund or to get another cake when there’s only one cake left.

The coffee beans are always burnt and that gives nasty taste to the drink. Also the service is super slow.

The place looks nice and cute. The guy that prepared my coffee was nice and friendly, but that was about it. The lady cashier who charged us and a couple of the other ladies behind the counter were just plain rude. The coffee was not bad, nothing memorable. Right across the street was a Starbucks, truthfully in New York there are so many options I would rather try a different place next time.

Stopped in to try their coffee and pastries. As I was standing in line behind another customer the barista asked to take her order, however, her mannerism, demeanor and tone screamed«I REALLYDONT’t want to be bothered.» Needless to say I stepped out of line. I chose not to spend my money here. :(

Review only for the pumpkin spiced macaron. Bigger in size than most usual macarons. But tasty and had the spice that pumpkin things usually have. Not the best I ever had. But it was a good little breakfast. $ 3 for one. And I’d never had this seasonal macaron flavor before.

Never planned on stopping by here but my friend was in dire need of a restroom so I went in to ask. Luckily, they did have a restroom and they did not demand that I buy something first before using it. Since they were so friendly, I decided that I was going to buy something before I go as a token of my appreciation. The macarons automatically caught my eyes. They were huge! They also cost $ 0.25 more than your average macaron but the size makes up for it. I was a bit skeptical about how good they were but they blew my mind. I got the vanilla and hazelnut macaron. Vanilla was delicious! Can’t mess up a classic. The hazelnut on the other hand was a but meh. Did not quite like the taste of it. Would definitely come back again for some other sweet treats!

This 1 star is for the delicious pumpkin spiced macaron, but if I’m ever craving this specific sweet, I’ll visit any other financier location but this one. I was sitting down by the window, munching on my macaron, while making a call.(Given how small the place is, it was noisier than I would have liked, so I really should have chosen a different spot to make the call in the first place.) Everything was fine until one of the employees came over to me and disrupted me with some snarky and not-very-funny-at-all comments. I won’t go into the details, but needless to say, I was quite turned off by the service and definitely will not be returning anytime soon.

Somewhere between 3 and 4, but I bumped it up because their macaroons are a good deal. My favorite flavor combo is the mint and dark chocolate! The others are good as well(good texture albeit a little heavy), but some(like the raspberry) taste a little artificially flavored in my opinion. But overall a good deal – real, huge macaroons for $ 3 each Sandwiches are fine, but there are way better options in the area. And there’s this one lady who got really angry when I asked for a receipt, never seen that anywhere else before

I’ve stopped at this bakery before and altho’ I love their croissant, I decided to try their macaroons again. I shared a choc. caramel and a choc macaroon with Hubby. Each macaroon is now $ 3, but they’re huge, the size of a fairly large cookie. I liked the choc caramel one better than the choc one. But because they’re so large, they taste more like a cookie crust than a macaroon.

Ehhh… nothing to write home about. Not bad, but not spectacular — just kind of «ehhh…alright.» I ordered the Roast Beef sandwich and the Banana Caramel macaroon. The roast beef sandwich was okay; it could’ve used a little more flavor(perhaps a sauce to spice it up?) The onions added to the flavor profile, but not enough to make me say«yum.» The Banana Caramel macaroon was very banana-y and caramel-y, but not my favorite. Perhaps it was the flavor combination… or perhaps I should’ve ordered a different flavor altogether. However, they were decently priced for their size — they’re huge! The staff was nice and my food came out quickly, so that’s a plus. Also, the shop is super cute.

I think I’m going to start doing a ‘Macaron Monday’ thing. A little bite of happiness to start off the week? It should totally be a thing… On this particular day I happened to be running some errands down on Fulton St. and remembered that Financier Patisserie does a macarons. :opens door and steps inside: What a cute lil’ bake shop! love the color scheme! Late in the afternoon there wasn’t much left in the pasty case(I image it gets pretty crazy here in the am) but there were still several macaron flavors to choose from: raspberry, pistachio, hazelnut, vanilla, and coconut to be exact. I selected a hazelnut, paid my $ 3 and made my way back to the office. A few things I observed: — The macaron is larger than most. At least twice the size of just about every other macaron I’ve had in the city. Just about the same price for 2x the macaron? Ok. That’s kindof awesome. — The cookie to filling ratio is a little off… not enough ganache makes for a dry sandwich. — There wasn’t much hazelnut flavor. It was lacking… wasn’t very hazelnutty. So my first visit was a-ok. I’m not giving up though… I’d try another one of their treats… maybe next Monday?!

This Financier location is conveniently located(for me at least) on the corner of Fulton and Nassau streets in FiDi, right outside the Fulton Street Station. This store doesn’t have the widest selection of pastries and sandwiches, but what it does have is a small selection of good quality items. I popped in there today and grabbed a chocolate croissant. It was not the best ever, but it was tasty and fresh. The service was fast and friendly and was on my way to the office in no time.

Le personnel était sympa mais l’atmosphère n’était pas top. J’étais déçu qu’il n’y ait pas de terrasse. Cher pour un panini médiocre… Ils devraient penser à ajouter un jambon beurre au menu.

And I was caught taking photos. Was chastised by the cheerful crew with«If ya’ll are gonna put those on Unilocal you should have been here earlier before we sold out of everything!» Absolutely hilarious. Picked up a some tasty coffee and some macaroons. Great stuff. Way better choice than Starbucks. The friendly crew made it fun to chill for a while and people watch at the corner of Fulton & Nassau. Clean restrooms.
