Small, but very well-curated collection of men’s clothing. Can’t decide whether the low lighting is flattering or impractical. The bags under my eyes and the laugh-lines are gone, but I can’t tell that the black shirt is in fact green. And every time I take the first few steps on the narrow staircase that leads to the downstairs room I can’t help but think I’m Jodie Foster in Silence of the Lambs about to descend into Buffalo Bill’s basement. Not a bad thing when you’re just wasting time shopping — just sayin’.

I like the simple, but cool mens jewelry here $ 100 – 150 range. They have really great necklaces that are simple and subtle without being flashy. They also have a nice assortment of clothes, but I especially like their shoes. I wasn’t all that familiar with the designers besides Hyden Yoo, but the store itself is cool and there is a narrow staircase to go downstairs.

Right up the street from BBlessing is LES’s hidden gem for men’s clothing, First Among Equals. The space is extremely small, but they are closing for a few weeks to remodel and expand. They carry a terrific selection of brands, mostly up and coming designers such as Corpus, April ’77, Freemont, Just Another Rich Kid, Cassaves and Pudel(to name a few). These are rare brands so don’t be surprised if you have to drop a pretty penny or two before leaving with a bag, but it’s well worth it for the quality and design of the pieces offered. Great shoe and hat selection as well. Also, they have an awesome little blog that gives detailed descriptions and pictures of what is currently being stocked at the store. For the next few weeks, FAE will be under construction, but it reopens early May and you should definitely go to the re-opening party on May 10th. See you there!
